Default How to stop jewelry from tarnishing?

Some of my silver/silver-plated jewelry is tarnishing. I have tarnish remover for jewelry, which works...but it tarnishes again within a couple of weeks. Any tips?

it's my understanding that nothing will stop silver from tarnishing as the oxidation process is regularly taking place. I use a two-toned jewelry cloth for my silver and I try not to swim in it (as excessive chlorine makes it go black!)

I used to keep my jewelry in the bathroom and found it tarnished more quickly because of the humidity, steam, etc. I keep it in a cool, dark, place and it seems to help.

Put a small piece of regular chalkboard chalk in your jewelry box with the silver jewelry. That will stop it from tarnishing.

Also, store it separately from any non-silver jewelry - especially gold, but not sure if it's true for platinum, etc. I tossed a bunch of random jewelry together in a bag for traveling and the silver stuff was all tarnished b/c of contact w/ the 'real' jewelry when I took everything out after a couple of days.

Keep it stored in a bag or jewelry box so it's not constantly exposed to the air. Also, you can store it with a piece of Sunshine Cloth.
