Online Work from Home Jobs?

As I was browsing Monster.com and CareerBuilder.com, I found quite a bit of online work-at-home job opportunities. Has anyone ever tried these? They always seem like scams to me, but has anyone had any luck?

I have never personally tried one of these, but I know a couple people who have. Not all of them are scams, but pretty much with all you cannot count on it as a definite source of income. Most are solely commission based jobs and don't give too great of an opportunity to make money.

I would personally steer clear of these. But others may have different experience/advice.

I sent a inquiry form in on one it was for a health care company that you would be calling people and trying to sell the health care they offer. They called me back then informed me that I had to give them 19.99 so they know I am serious and then they will give me a code to use for long distance and every month I must pay 19.99 to them for that and then they will pay for the rest of the calls so I decided against it. From what I have been told 9 out of 10 of those are scams I refuse to pay someone money for me to work for them.
