Default Do The Baby Einstein Characters Have Names?

A long time ago someone gave my baby a turtle washcloth hand puppet. Now she has given this turtle a name "Reebok!" She calls him "Reebok!" and then the little Baby Einstein teething turtle thingie she calls "Baby Reebok"

Where did she come up with these names? I'm just sort of curious if that is the thing's name. This will tell me (1) She must be watching videos at the babysitter's house. That's OK, of course, I'd just like to know and (2) Whether she made up this name herself. I'm just kinda curious about that.

We don't have any Baby Einstein videos or anything--we just got this puppet as a present and google does not seem to be giving me an answer.

    Do you know? Thanks!

I don't think they have names.

A little boy I nannied for (who is now 3) had an elephant that he named 'Zeeka.' The baby one (elephant rattle) was Baby Zeeka. Kids are odd like that.

Yeah, some of them have names. Like in Baby Shakespeare, the dragon (or whatever the lead character puppet is) is named Bard. If there's a name, it'll say it in the opening title.

So maybe the baby Turtle is called "Reebok" and she's not so original after all...I wonder if we'll ever know.

THANKS GUYS FOR SATISFYING MY CURIOSITY about that.

To 1Mommy Thanks! Maybe it's because I want to lie down in a field of poppies and sleep away...like all mothers of toddlers, I'm sure.

From my vast knowledge of all things Baby Einstein (does my having all of the dvd's qualify that?), I know that they put the names of some of the puppets on some of the videos, but mostly the names are in books or those cards or on the credits of the videos. I've never heard them refer to any of them by name on the actual video.

Oh, and as far as naming things go, ds#1 makes up strange names for everything. He got a Little People Hamburgular toy from his McD's happy meal the other day and he's calling him "Bill". This is also the name of any one of the pets from time to time (he knows their real names, but sometimes he calls them "Bill". I don't quite know where he got that.

Thanks Jen, I kind of thought it was her own invention. Sometimes I just think wow, are all toddlers obsessive like you? Raise your hand if you find your toddler a little nutty (and adorable, of course!).

I'm sure there will be lots more inventions. But I've never seen a kid so in to her stuffed animals.
