Oooh, I will play. My son is 16 months old and we just started TTC last month. I'm still very nervous about dealing with m/s AND a 1 year old, let alone an newborn and a 2 year old...but I'm also very excited at the idea of having a sibling for DS to grow up with.

Yea! One taker! My next door neighbor is about 12 weeks pregnant and has an 18-month old. She has been sick constantly and has had a hard time taking care of her son. That scares me about getting pregnant with an active toddler.

Do you have a gender preference for #2 since you already have a son? I think I want another boy. I think it would be cool for my DS to have a same sex sibling.

    Hi gals! I'll play, too.

My DS is 21 months old, and we've been officially TTC for 5 months now. Still not preggo. I know 5 months isn't that long, but I'm soooo impatient! I always wanted the kids to be 2 years apart, and now they will be at least 2 1/2 years. Oh well, I guess you can't plan everything perfectly!

I didn't have MS with DS at all, knock on wood. And let me tell you, the older he gets the harder it is to keep up! I can't even imaging being sick with him as active as he is. I guess we'll cross that bridge when we get there.

As far as gender, I would love a girl for #2, although I agree with bluebunny that a boy would be cool, too. I guess I don't really care either way. I just want a baby, period! Any baby will do!

    Me too!

We weren't sure when to TTC#2. We had an oopps in Aug/Sept and got pg. I was so nervous! They would've been 17 months apart. Unfortunately, I m/c at 7-8weeks. In the weeks that I thought I would be a mom of two, I really got used to the idea. We are now actively TTC #2.

I want my kids close in age. I think 2 years apart in school would be my idea. That is what my sis and I were and we are b/f. The only worry I have would be financial. Two in daycare is expensive. I am sure we would work it out and be fine.

Gender-Part of me really wants another girl! Sisters are the best. I would be happy with a boy too though. I know DH would love a boy!

    Good luck everyone!!

We are TTC as well. We would want a girl . Don't have much time for the next 1.5 weeks, we are moving up North, but wanted to see updates when I could .

    The group is growing!

jjsanner, five months seems like forever when you're TTC, doesn't it? Planning is hard because you never know how long it's going to take to conceive. We're not actively TTC right now, just planning/thinking about it. I think about 2 years apart would be great so that would mean starting in January. But then I think about what if it takes more than a few months...should we start earlier? Or what if we get pregnant right away--uh-oh! It's so hard.

ajlanden, sorry to hear about your m/c. I had one prior to conceiving DS. It was hard but looking back I think my DS came at the perfect time. I hope you'll think that same when your second arrives.

jeggink, welcome! Good luck with your move! I imagine it will be challenging with a little one underfoot!

AHG! I just lost my post!

This group really is growing! It's nice to have other mom's ttc#2 to chat with!

Bluebunny I just recently went through all the what's ifs and whens, it's a very personal decision but I don't know if you're ever going to really feel ready, I know I still don't feel 100% ready but I feel good enough about my decision and I would be happy with my baby's being 2-3 years apart.

jjsanner it took us 5 month to concieve our DS and it did feel like forever, when you know you want something it's so hard to be patient! You are so lucky to have had no MS with your first pregnancy, I hope we are both as lucky the next time around!

ajlanden sorry to hear about your loss, I can only imagine how devestating that must have been. I also agree that 2 years apart is a wonderful age, this way the kids will be able to play with one another.

jeggink good luck with the move, where are you moving from?

SEX Ideally I would like 2 boys and a girl, so I really don't care what the next one is....as long as it's healthy. It would be nice for Tyler to have a brother that he would be close in age with, then they could protect the baby sister....but I know things don't always work the way you plan and I will be most happy with a healthy baby.

I just realized that I'm on CD 28 and AF is a no show thus far (for some reason I though CD28 was Thursday), I will be testing first thing tomorrow AM so wish me luck ladies!

. Me, too!! And while we're talking about ideals, I agree with this as well:
It would be nice for Tyler to have a brother that he would be close in age with, then they could protect the baby sister.
I'll take a healthy baby, too...I'm really not picky.

Good luck!!! Let us know after you test.

Well, I tested last night and it was a BFN....AF still hasn't arrived though so there is some hope. If AF doesn't show by Thursday I will retest.

Was going to take DS to Toddler Time at the library today but my dog has something wrong with her eye and I have to take her to the vet at 12:45...now we will have to wait til next month, since the library only does it once a month for kids age 2 and under. It would be the one day I finally decide to go....
