    Mommycal,

What a small world! It's outing myself, but my husband will be playing the Point Sebago happy hour on June 16 and 21. Catch his show at the bar if you can! He plays all summer, and although I've never been, he says it is a fun gig.

Bumping to see if anyone is still around as I have a couple of questions. My parent's 50th anniversary is coming up and they both grew up in Maine so we're having their party in Portland which is where my Dad grew up. I need to find a bakery to make a cake and a florist to put together arrangements for the tables. Would anyone have any suggestions, maybe people they used when they planned their wedding? I'm going to ask a few cousins for suggestions as well but most of them are in Biddeford, not Portland.

Lars- The European Bakery is great, it's in Falmouth. Flowers, I would call Minotts in Portland. Are you set on a cake? East End Cupcakes in Portland is really good, if you wanted to go the cupcake route.

Thank you so much! I checked out their websites and both places look perfect for what I'm looking for. I'll give them both a call later this week to see if they'll have availability for the weekend we need the cake and flowers. I only wish I needed a linzertorte or sachertorte instead of an anniversary type cake - I love both of those. I think the cupcake idea is cute but my parents would probably prefer the standard cake.
