Gypped, jewed - inappropriate, period.
Nigger, gay, fag - inappropriate in any context by people who are not these things, acceptable by people who are.
Retarded - inappropriate when used out of context or in a derogatory way, acceptable when used correctly and in context.
Crazy, lame, psycho, spaz - acceptable as long as you don't say it to the person's face, but somehow not inappropriate otherwise.
Do I have this right? Mental retardation > mental illness when it comes to derogatory word use?
