I have had really irregular cycles for over a decade now- due to PCOS, and unless my breasts ache I never know if my symptoms are PMS. The last several days I've found that...

My breasts feel bigger and heavy
I feel bloated in my mid-section, and my perfect jeans are tight
I gained 2 lbs literally overnight
I have increased discharge
I get teary-eyed and sad out of the blue
I crave hips and chocolate and have lost my desire for fruit
I have a lot of gas

Do these sound like PMS symptoms to you "normal" gals? I'm on around CD 25, and am hoping that my lower stress life and increased physical activity (from overworked desk drone to house-cleaning, yard-working housewife) will make me "regular "again. What are your tell-tale signs that AF is imminent?

My symptoms are similar to yours, but include some others:

Lower-back pain
Increased sex-drive
Pressure headaches
Tender/painful breasts
More emotional
One or two pimples
Fatigue
Weight gain
Chocolate and salt cravings

These all pretty much disappear as soon as my period starts.

Hope that helps and hope you're on the road to being more regular!!

Thanks for the feedback, Kelli. It was definitely PMS. Yesterday I thought that was a good thing. Today I'm not so thrilled thanks to the terrible cramps! :(

My is MAJOR bloating. I hate it! I feel HUGE when PMS roles around and it's usually about a week before AF comes. That is my biggest symtpom and of course sore bb's and skin break out. Isn't it lovely?!

Yes, those are normal (including the gas :o ). I experience some of the same symptoms, and I have noticed that I get so sleepy about five to seven days before- usually, one night I end up going to bed at about 7 or 8 p.m.!

Just wanted to echo the other ladies - all common and normal PMS symptoms. I get most of what you described as well as anxiety and night sweats/hot flashes (that's a fun one! lol!).
