it's a bug

okay, I'm having weird things go on so I'm hoping maybe some of the gals who have been around this block before can give me a clue!
I have been incredibly thirsty lately - this almost never happens unless I've taken allergy meds and I haven't done that in a long time.
At night when I lie down on my stomach, I get this weird reflux feeling...almost like there is a little something coming up...it goes away when I turn over and swallow a few times.
And at night when I'm sleeping, I've been waking pretty frequently (also odd for me as I'm a pretty sound sleeper) and feeling kind of "trapped" for lack of a better word. I toss and turn a lot too, but that's pretty normal although I'm more aware of it now.
Other than that, I have some of the usual things for this time of the cycle - tummy gurgles, sore boobs, tiredness, crankiness, etc.
Any thoughts on my other weird "symptoms"? I don't want to read too much into them right now until I can test next week...ugh! TIA

Hey everyone. Just dropped by to wish everyone a good weekend and Happy Thanksgiving. I had kind of a rough week accepting that AF was around, but now she's gone and I'm ready for another go at it! Alas, I'll be in the "CovertBD-ing" group as well! (Timing never being my strong suit.) I'm looking forward to talking to my Mom about TTC. Hopefully she'll have some advice, or at least family history for me.
I have fingers & toes crossed for everyone who's still waiting this month!

It's CD 29, it is.

Just like I have several morns before
And every one was a negative (negative!)
Never a plus or Aunt Flo (Aunt Flo!)
It's my CD 29 it is, it is.

Di you crack me up!!! I guess you'll test again over the weekend.... Let's hope for a nice drak BFP!
it's a bug Well, those are certainly a lot of pg symptoms, bso let them give you hope! I get FPS a lot, which is very rustrating. I find that I pay so much attention to things that I can turn a hangnail into a pg symptom, lol! Hang in there, test if it'll make you feel better.
jnshanna yup, honolulu! I'm running the marathon on Dec 11, let's hope I can move on the 12th! I already told DH that if we "need" to bd that day, then I'll just lay ther, lmao! Luckily, he thinks it's funny. I'm hoping we can bd lots leading up to the 11th, then I can o on the 11th or 12th.... that would be about perfect!
CD10 now. Waiting. Sigh.

Natasha,
How late are you in your cycle? If you are offically late, I would just call the doctor for a blood test. Do you know what day you O'd? Also how long are your normal cycles?
P.S. - Where in NJ? I live in Southern NJ
njdiva
11-18-2005, 05:05 PM
Ericka - My cycles are typically normal 4-5 days and I am 8 days late now. I am not sure when I O'd (i'm so new at this) but if I had to guess it was around halloween (3 weeks ago). And I am due for my regular gyn exam anyway - so I guess I will wait until then. I'm just confused b/c all 3 tests (2 separate brands) were negative.
I live in Union County. ;)

CD 27 here and still no AF, but 3 BFN's. I don't think that this is it for me. I am starting to get crampy on and off. I just wish that AF would arrive so that we can start all over again. I really don't like how much variation there is in my cycle length. I never had this before (on or off the pill). They have been so far from 24-27 days (and counting). Does anyone else have cycles like this? How are you doing things?
Alioop12345
11-19-2005, 10:19 AM
Emermel- My cycles are crazy too. This past cycle...I spotted for 5-6 days before I actually started AF and it was a 27 day cycle.... the one before it was 30 I think

I am sorry everyone is so frustrated with TTC right now! You can put me in the same boat. I haven't completely given up this cycle but I am pretty sure that I have already O'ed but just didn't get a + on the OPK. I knew I could miss it so I was trying to make sure that we covered ourselves anyway but with me being sick we aren't as good about it as I would have liked to be. :( I guess we will see.
I hope we get a BFP soon to bring everyone's spirits back up. I was hoping that I would be pregnant by Christmas (and when we started I assumed I would be) but now I am not thinking so. I am currently CD 19. I guess I could still get a positive OPK but today is the last day I am going to test. If I'm not pregnant this month then I'll make sure to test in the afternoon/evening next month if I do OPKs again.
Let the FPS begin for me. (Oh and Twylla if a hang nail is a pg symptom then I am definitely pg because I have had two in the past week.);) :p

Just wanted to pop in and say hi. I am in the boring part, heading to the fun part of my cycle. My Dr. took some blood to see if I was immune to Rhubella and said I wouldknow by Monday (CD 11). If I am, no big deal, go on as usual. If not, I have to get a shot and wait a month to continue TTC. That would make me mad...I am like yall, I fully anticipated being pg by Christmas but it looks like that may not happen. We definitely need a BFP here to get our spirits back up. I am pretty down on TTC right now and that doesn't help the sex life any! Good luck to you all. It may be hit and miss this week with the families in, but I look forward to hearing a few covert BDing stories from the holiday! :)

update:
still no AF and I am now 12 days late with 3 BFN's during this time :mad: !
I plan on scheduling a dr's appt. tomorrow b/c I still have the same flu-like symptoms.
p.s. Jess - I see we are date twins... ;)

njdiva- we ARE date twins! I don't see too many that were married the same time! I hope your dr.s appt will clear things up for you. It's terrible not knowing what's going on! Your avatar is too cute...mine is my dog!
This is how sad this is: my dog went into heat today and I was jealous because if she has sex she WILL get preg...I have a 20% chance at best! My best friend is 12 weeks tomorrow...I am running away from the the green monster, but I think he runs faster than me!!

I am CD 34, DPO 11 today
Went to visit my friend that had her new baby 9 days ago. I went to see him on Thursday and than we went to take pics yesterday. He is so adorable. I got lots of baby loving in, held him as he slept after the pics for 3 hours. He was exhausted after crying through many of his pics, but they are still so cute. We did get some while he was asleep like the one below
http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b5cf00b3127cce95c08845a22b00000015108Bctmzhmycuh ttp://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b5cf00b3127cce95c77209c2cf00000016108Bctmzhmycu
This was with his brother giving him kisses, he was not into taking pics so we had to convince him to go give his brother kisses, he tried to do ear kisses (rubbing his ear again his brother's, he even uncovered his feet and would kiss his toes, he thought that was so funny.
We are going to Disney in Feb/March since hubby has a conference down there at that time. He will be down probably longer than me, that is unless it's that time of month (which I am praying I will already be pregnant for several months already) We just got the tree so now can get the decorations for our room packed and ready to go. I am also putting up some decorations at home since we will be here for most the month.

Friday ended up being CD1 for me. :(
TMI: it was a very very heavy flow.
I just started charting, so I may be here a little less as I visit the TTC with Charting thread.

Were there any bfp's this weekend? Anyone....?
I'm feeling a bit disappointed as well. Plus now DH and I are getting the "are we SURE we want to be parents blues..." (A trip to the mall will do it everytime!) I think we did decide to continue. Honestly, I think the only way to truly get rid of the jitters (for me, anyway) is to reach the point of no return with a bfp of my own. Wonder how long that'll take!
Sorry about the arrival of AF, ladies... And Di good luck with charting.
Erica_Jarret thanks for posting the pics! They are soooo cute!

Thanks for your insight, Twylla. I was so close to testing this morning, until I realized that my temp had dropped 1/2 a percent...I'll see what happens the rest of this week and will most likely test on Friday morning if no AF!! I can't wait!

I am sorry to those of you that had AF show up. That is disappointing since i was looking forward to coming in here to see some BFPs!
Someone needs to get a BFP soon to bring everyone's spirit. I unfortunately don't think that it will be me because I never got a + on the OPKs. I think that I acutally Oed at the beginning of last week (around CD 14-15). We didn't time our bding well if that is the case. I am hoping against hopethat the egg and the sperm still met up!;)
Can't wait to hear about some covert bding.

Thankfully we live within 30 minutes of all our family so we can be HOME every night during this cycle! EEK! I'm CD9 - so I guess the fun has just begun! I should know this - but anyone know typically the range of days when you can ovulate? (i.e CD12 - CD 16?) Of course this is my first cycle off BCP, so I don't expect anything grand, or even expect to ovulate, but here's to hoping! DH and I BD at least once a day - not necessarily b/c we are trying to catch the egg, but b/c that's how often he or I ask for it :rolleyes:. Anyone know if you can BD too much?
At any rate, this is the most emotional thing I've ever been through, and it's just my first month. It's becoming more and more real to me that we could be parents in the very near future.
Sorry for all those that AF hit - Seems like this month was a really heavy month for lots of us! I agree we need a BFP in here so desperately!
Hope everyone is having a great day!

I'm on CD 13 and waiting for the eggy. DH is out of town right now (will be back tomorrow), but then we are heading out to D.C. to visit family for the holiday so I hope we aren't missing the window of opportunity.
Good luck to all the girls waiting to test! Hopefully there will be a lot of things to be thankful for this week!

Newbie here :D
Me, 31
DH, 28
DD - 12/95
DS - 10/04
TTC - 10/05
A little background. I breastfed my son for almost a year and was on the mini-pill until July. I stopped the mini-pill and never got AF. When I stopped BFing I still never got AF! So my doctor put me on BCP for one month to get my cycle going and boy did it ever! I got it almost the entire time during the 3 weeks I was on the pill and for a week after! We TTC last month but since I had no idea how long my cycle was or anything it was sorta just a waste (don't tell DH that, ha ha!) I used to have a by-the-book 28 day cycle, but AF came on day 31 instead. I guess it's not too bad considering it's the first time she came on her own in almost 2 years!!! Friday was cycle day #1 for me.

AH! EWCM tonight!!!! I haven't had any so this is exciting! It's CD 11 and I am just so happy to know that I must actually be Oing! DH is working tonight but I already told him that we will have some business to take care of in the morning when he gets home. My BIL and SIL are here but will be part of the crazy crowd waiting in line to buy an X-Box in the morning, so the timing couldn't be more perfect! I hope it's not too late in the morning...it just started tonight and I have been checking all day. Anyway, that's the update on me!

Update: CD 35. BFN so far, not giving up just yet
I am planning a trip yet again, not for Christmas but for end of February, early March to Disney again. We are possibly heading to TN in early February but won't know for a few weeks yet about that. I pulled all the Christmas stuff out yesterday to get ready to do some decorating at home and also pulling some stuff for the trip.
Told hubby last night hard to believe that this time last year when I was decorating I was already a month pregnant and didn't know it.

I actually plan to test Thursday morning before we leave for my mom's for Thanksgiving, just for fun. I won't be too suprised if it's a BFN. However, if AF doesn't show signs of showing during the weekend, I'll definitely be testing Sunday.
Trying to keep hope alive for everyone this month!!

Welcome K&H'smommy!
CD15 for me, maybe 16. We've been Bding every other day, and we're both pretty happy with that. I had a lot of people asking me about TTC last friday, hee hee. I just pointed out that DH and I work opposite shifts, so who knows... and left it at that. I wanted to be able to say, well, yes, and the baby's due in ____. But of course couldn't. Oh well.
We leave in 2 and a half weeks for Honolulu.... my fingers are crossed! The only crazy part is this darned marathon. I don't feel ready at all. But if I have to walk a lot of it, then I'll walk a lot of it. It would be exciting to get a BFP, then just walk it at a slow pace while drinking tons of water! If not, then I can hope Santa drops off a BFP for us....... THAT would be a Merry Christmas!!!

Anyone else ever have FPS before the 2WW??????
Seriously - I wrote in my personal journal today (at home, not CC) of how if I was in the 2WW I would be worried - my gums bled this morning, I feel like I've done a million sit-ups, I've been nauseated today, and I'm so stinking tired! Plus the fact that I've eaten at least 6 meals a day for the last two days!!! I know that I'm not in the 2WW, but it is seriously cracking me up that these things would happen now. Now if they continue, then I'll be really worried!
CD 10 here for me - and that's all that's happening around my world. I was teasing DH and saying how glad I was that he's off this weekend, since I'm supposed to O around then, and he said "You and this baby thing are gonna be the death of me" :rolleyes: MEN! ;)

Can't say I've had any symptoms here, testing tomorrow, and hoping that AF stays away this weekend. My last cycle was 28 or 30 days, depending on my mood. I'm leaning towards 30, which puts my O at CD17.
Good luck to everyone BDing this weekend, and I hope you all have a festive and fruitful Thanksgiving!!!

Mrstim~ I am LOL at your post but only because I have said to myself, "Huh...If I was in the 2ww and this was happening I would be getting excited!" So in a word...yes.
Good luck testing tomorrow suiej! I hope you have something to be very thankful for!
I am currently on CD 23. I am not having any symptoms either. I don't know if I'll have a lot of FPS this month since I am not too hopeful for this month.

Sorry I haven't been around much, I am back at work, and I can read, but not post from work, so I have been trying to keep up, but then the evenings go by SOO quickly now!
I wish good luck to those testing this week! Happy BDing to those about to start their fertile periods, and fast days for those of us in our 2WW!
I am CD21 now, and in my 2WW, so I am just waiting to test next week. I will have to test on Wednesday morning as I am suppsed to have a dental appointment and if I am PG, I can't have it! So I am hoping to post-pone it for a few weeks!
Sorry for no more personal SO's!

Thanksgiving is a time to reflect on what we've been given and
savor the scents of crisp autumn days and pumpkin pie. For me, it's a
little more complicated.
One November afternoon when my daughter was in kindergarten, I
picked her up after school. She bobbed out to the car and crawled into
the backseat.
"What did you do today?" I asked. She couldn't wait to tell me.
"We learned that boys are different from girls," she chirped.
Looking into the rearview mirror, I could just see the top of her
head.
"My teacher told us that boys have a thing the girls don't," she
added
"Well, yes they do..." I said cautiously. I couldn't think of
anything else to say, so we were quiet for a moment.
Then she piped up again. "That's how girls know that boys are
boys," she said. "They see that thing that hangs down and they know that
he is a boy."
I mentally calculated the distance home. Our five-minute commute
already felt like an hour.
"Did you know that when the boys see a girl they puff up?" My
palms were beginning to sweat. "Um...well..."
I was still searching for something new to say, to change the
subject, when she asked, "Why do the girls like the boys to have those
things?"
Well I didn't know what to say. I mean, what woman hasn't asked
herself that question at least once?
"Oh, well...um..." I stammered.
She didn't wait for my answer. She had her own. "It's cause it
moves when they walk and then the girls see that and that's when they
know they are boys and that's when they like them. Then the boy sees the
girl and he puffs up, and then the girl knows he likes her, too. And
then they get married. And then they get cooked."
That last part confused me a bit, but on the whole I thought she
had a pretty good grasp on things.
As soon as we got home and I pulled into the garage, she hopped
out of the car, fishing something out of her school bag.
"I drew a picture," she said. "Do you want to see?"
I wasn't sure I did, but I looked at it anyway. I had to sit
down.
There, all puffed up so to speak, looking mighty attractive for
the ladies, was a crayon drawing of a great big Tom Turkey. His snood,
the thing that hangs down over his beak, the thing that female turkeys
find so irresistible, was magnificent. His tail feathers were standing
tall and proud.
And that is the end of the story!
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

hi ladies,
Happy Thanksgiving.
I have no idea what's up with me besides that I am CD 37 and right now not even going to try and commit to a DPO. My cycles since having the baby have been between CD 32-34 with a DPO 11. I have tested and got a BFN so I am hoping that I just may have the DPO wrong. I go to the doctor next Thursday so I won't be calling her sooner for a test, since I will be there at that time anyway. I go to the oral surgeon on Monday (not looking forward to that)

Welcome to the group MapleKitty! Hopefully your stay is short!
I'm on CD16 and still waiting for O. I've never had to wait this long - I usually O around CD 12 so its interesting this month. Hopefully good things will come to those who wait :)
Have a happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Hiya Ladies!
Thanks for the welcomes!
Right now I'm in day 4 of AF - first AF since going off BCP so who knows how longs shes staying for??!! Pre-BCP I would have 7 day AF's :(:( But that was 7 yrs ago - ugh I was geting used to a nice short 3 days!

MapleKitty: When I went off the pill I stayed at 3 days, but they were a lot heavier. Hopefully yours don't go back up to 7 days.

And when I went off the pill they pretty much stayed the same... well, when AF decides to visit, anyway! Good luck with that!
I was hoping to check this thread today and find a very Hapy Thanksgiving bFP... but there's still time!

Well, let the FPS begin. I know that I can't possibly be PG just yet, let alone feeling any symptoms, but I'm nauseated, my nips are super sensitive, and I'm exhausted. Of course, I'm getting up pretty early to drive DH to work the hit the gym, gosh, could that have anything to do with it?
Nope! Much more fun to imagine these are pg symptoms, lol!!!

Hope everyone had a great Turkey day! DH and I participated in some covert BDing while the ILs were out of the house for a couple of hours yesterday. This is after I went to the bathroom and found some more EWCM. I thought I had missed my chance with it since DH was working the night I found some Monday. Maybe this will be our cycle. I got a call from my Dr. yesterday and I am still immune to rhubella, so that is good. Anyway, feeling a little better about TTC today. Anyway, lets all hope for some more BFPs!!! I hope your symptoms are real, Twylla!

CD 13 for me and I'm wondering if I'm feeling Ovulation! My lower abdomen feels like I've done hundreds of sit-ups - I can't breathe too deeply or it pulls :rolleyes: Since this is my first cycle off BCP, I don't know if I ovulate or not! This is a whole new ballgame for me! I ate way too much sugar yesterday and was still wide awake and shaky at 1:30 this morning, but couldn't sleep past 6 anywho. I did get some shopping done online - I wasn't brave enough to go shopping in real life today!! :eek: Hope everyone's having a great Black Friday!!! Bring on those BFP'S!!!!

Welcome Sarah! I hope you don't have to stick around here too long.
A lot of ladies right around O time. Good luck to you on your bd'ing. Have fun!
I hope you get an answer soon and hopefully it will be that you are pg! Do you go to the doc before the oral surgery or after? Can you ahve oral surgery when you are pregnant?
I am on CD 25 now nad I have no idea how many DPO. I never got a + on the OPKs so I don't know if I missed it and did O or if I didn't even O. Not too good. Oh well. DH is usually trying to keep me grounded but now he'll actually say that certain things may be pg symptoms and even point out more. He used to tell me not to read too much into anything. This is good and bad. Thankfully this cycle I have been pretty realistic so it hasn't made me crazy with anticipation...yet!;)
I did find out yesterday that one of DH's cousins is pg. I actually was surprised that I wasn't jealous. Probably because I barely ever see her (she lives out of state) and I really don't like her too much either.:o I was happy for her and her DH though. Yay me!

I go for a consultation on Monday with the OS and then the OB/GYN on Thursday. You can get wisdom teeth pulled while pregnant, they just don't put you under from what I understand and you also get different meds after surgery.

Can you have EWCM and not ovulate?? I've got TONS of EW - I googled it and everywhere online says that it's an indicator of ovulation coming??
Please be patient with me - I'm only on my first cycle!!!

Welcome Maplekitty! Another Canuck!
Twylla: I had my turkey in October...I'm a Canadian too! Good luck with your marathon! I hope that you will have to walk it too, because you are PG! That will be great! I have often thought about training for that one too, but whenever I could, I would be sent away on Deployment.
MrsTim: I've read the TCOYF book, and I can't answer your question...sorry!
OctoberPrincess: nice to see you again!
Jess71903: I hope you got the eggie too! What a conception story to tell your child some day! My first was conceived during a HUGE blizzard in 2004!
Ericka_Jarett I really hope your appointment with the docs go well this week!
looty: keeping my fingers crosses for you!
Sorry if I missed anyone!
I'm CD24 and just waiting to test. I have no idea how many DPO, since I don't chart, but I think I may of O'd on CD 15 or 16, so that would make it 8 or 9 DPO, I will be testing on Tuesday as I have to see if I am PG for a dental appointment. I was told I can't have my teeth cleaned during the 1st Trimester...I desperately need my teeth cleaned, but I would GLADLY cancel if I were PG!
Hope all the American Ladies had a great Turkey day! Have a great rest of the weekend to everyone!

Erica, I don't know what exactly to hope for you...Seems like if you were pg you would get a + by now, but I've never even taken one before, so I don't know. I guess I hope that your Dr. will be able to give you good news and maybe the test just wasn't picking it up!
Welcome Maple Kitty! Glad to have you here! These ladies are a wealth of info so you came to a good place.
I am not positive, but I think EWCM only happens if you O, mrstim.With that plus you mentioned some possible O pains, I think you're definitely fertile!
I have had a weird experience this week. We were with my BIL and SIL (DH's bro), who we never spend any time with since they live out of state. They just got married in March but are older than us by a few years. My SIL kept saying things like "we need to do all of our traveling before we have babies" and just generally stuff about not being ready to have kids yet. I think it was something like the oposite of getting jealous when a friend is pg. I started thinking about how it might be a let-down to them if we were preg and somehow wanted to "enjoy" all the things of newlywed life a little longer. I don't know. When it's almost time for AF I get so anxious and want it SO bad, but on occasion it all seems so scarry. I guess that's normal. It's probably better for my sanity not to obsess ALL month, huh?:p Anyway, thanks girls for letting me put my insanity down. Good luck to all the Oers and 2WWers!

Amy - definitely pick up TCOYF, I am just finishing reading it and it's a wealth of knowledge for sure. I just skipped past all the pages on temping for now! ;)

Well AF show up yesterday, so it's onto yet another cycle, I see the doctor on Thursday so will see what she has to say. In a way was good that AF showed up late cause that will hopefully work in my favor. I see the Oral Surgeon on Monday and will see about the wisdom teeth and if I'm not pregnant in this cycle than she wouldn't show until after we leave Disney
looty
11-27-2005, 09:09 AM
Jess~I think that everyone goes through that a little. I have been wanting to have a baby for years (but didn't get to start trying until a few months ago) and I still get a feeling like that every so often. They are fleeting so I know that it isn't time to call off TTC. Having a baby is a big step and is life changing so I am sure it's normal to have a few fears sometimes.
Sarah~Yay for AF being shorter than you expected. I was worried about getting a longer and heavier AF (and the painful cramps) returning after going off bcp but I am happy to report that it has lengthened a tiny but but not too bad. Hopefully you won't have to have any other experiences with AF for at least nine months!
Ericka~Sorry AF showed. It sounds like you are finding the silver lining though so that's good. That will be great if you can avoid AF during Disney!
I am waiting until Friday or Saturday to test if AF doesn't come before then. I am hoping that I get to test and get a BFP. Unfortunately I am not so sure that is going to happen. I am keeping the faith and everything crossed for myself and anyone else about to test. Are there any others getting ready to test?
OctoberPrincess
11-27-2005, 06:08 PM
Jess I agree with Looty, many people go through this. I don't think you will ever know you are ready until you are actually pregnant, you can only do your best to make sure you can support this baby emotionally and financially. After a few weeks of morning sickness I though getting pregnant was a huge mistake and I felt horrible about feeling that way, but that feeling subsided as quickly as it formed and my son is now the light of my life.
Ericka is great that you are able to put a positive spin on things, hopefully things will go much differently in another month!
Dukes Flygirl I'm keeping my fingers crossed that your dentist appointment will need to be cancelled!;)
Looty I will keep my fingers crossed for you, if you will do the same for me! I will be testing the Monday after you.
CD 21 for me and just waiting to test.....

Hello Ladies,
Hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving.
Sorry to hear about AF Ericka.
maplekitty glad to hear AF was shorter than expected.
AF decided to come early this month. I'm on CD2 now, it hasn't been very heavy, but more than just spotting. There is one good thing with AF coming early is it moves my fertile time up and not during DH's work travel.
Good luck to everyone testing and in the 2ww.

Not sure what CD for me, today. I think AF is here, but it comes and goes, really crampy over the weekend, started spotting Saturday, but it's still just very very light spotting today, not enough to make me think it's full-on AF.
I tested Thursday, BFN. If AF doesn't show completely by tomorrow morning, I'll test again, just for kicks. If not, it's onto Cycle #3!

Thanks ladies. I really hope this is our month, I am presently CD3 so hoping I can see what's up with the wisdom teeth and get them taken care of if I need them to be pulled before my anniversary (the 14th) and told Hubby that I should be O'ing close to his b-day so he was happy to hear that. I really pray that AF doesn't make an appearance for quite a while due to pregnancy. As long as she stays away I will be testing when I come home in January.
26 Days until I leave for vacation

Hello everyone,
Just checking in to report that we BD'd plenty this month, but I'm not sure how successful we were, since DH had to stay at his mother's house (family emergency) for 3 days, when I think I was the most fertile... Well, AF is due in 6 days, so - we shall see... :confused:
Congratulations Holly!

I had the weirded dream last night! That one of my gf's spotted my calender and noticed I wrote "P" on one of the days last month. So she assumed I was pregnant and then threw me a surprise baby shower! But then I had to go around to everyone and explain that no...I wasn't pregnant, I just had my "period". LOL

Hi Everybody!
I have a question about the OPK's. How close does the color get to the test line? I bought the Target brand and have been getting color but not nearly close to the comparison line. Then the Friday it was super light so can I assume that I ovulated on Thursday even though the line was not that close in color on Thursday (although darker than Friday)?
Thanks!

Michelle~I wish I could help you but I really can't. I have only used OPKs this months and I got the digital ones. I am still pretty cluelesss but based on what you said it seems like your guess is logical but I have been finding more and more that things surrounding TTC aren't always logical.
Sarah~That is a funny dream! I always just put a dot on the day I start. I have had wierd dreams about TTC too. I had a dream that my DH was in a car accident that made him go into labor. In my dream I was mad at him because he didn't tell me that he was pregnant.:p
Good luck testing October Princess and suiej. I am keeping things crossed for you both!

Sorry in advance for such a bad attempt at SO's. :o
Congrats Joelle!!
Sorry about AF, Ericka. I hope this is your month too. That'd be cool to conceive on DH's birthday.
So I'm on CD17 now and I'm so confused. I had A LOT (at least for me) of spotting today mid-day. Sorry, TMI, it was definitely red and not pink. I think my CM was eggwhite but it was hard to tell. Then I spotted the whole rest of the day light pink and some brown. But it's the red that has me so confused. I know I haven't had that kind of spotting mid way through my cycle in the past 6 months at least. I wonder if it might be O spotting? I've heard women talk about that but I've never experienced it myself so I don't know to what extent that spotting might be?? Does anyone else have spotting mid way through their cycle? I'm just curious. :)

Congrats Joelle!!! We needed another BFP to give the rest of us hope! I have enjoyed reading all the posts today but I don't think I can totally catch up, so I will just say hi to everyone, welcome to the newbies, and good luck to all of you testing soon!
I don't know what to think about your mid-cycle bleeding, jnshanna. I have never had that before either and it seems weird to me to have red in the middle of a cycle. If it continues you might call your dr. just to see what he/she thinks about it.
It is CD 19 for me, so just waiting. I totally got over the "what if it's not time" thing. I am so anxious for the end of my cycle. My birthday is Dec 10, which will be CD 31 (if I counted right), so I am hoping for a BFP for me birthday! Anyway, gotta go.

Jessica - just wanted to comment on the b/day BFP thing - My bday is Dec. 30, which would actually be CD 48 for me, so by then I'd either be pregnant or in my next cycle. I would love a BFP in my bday MONTH - my G'pas bday is Dec. 9, and he's always worried about not living long enough to have a great-grandchild, so I would ADORE having a suprise for him on his Bday!! :D
Good Luck!

Thanks ladies.
update: I made an appt for the wisdom teeth to be pulled, all 4 have to go the oral surgeon said. He said he will put me under (gave me the 3 options, he suggested going under and that is what I decided on as well) since it is all 4 and one is growing in sideways and he has to take bone from the 2 bottom ones. I had it scheduled for the 19th, but Jarett feels that's too close to our trip so I moved it to the 4th of January, but last night had piercing pain, I just wanted to cry. So I am making it for the 14th now (which is our anniversary, but I should be healed before our trip and we don't have anything planned for our anniversary since we are going away) I have a call in to another surgeon that my friend is good friend's with to see if he takes my insurance and can do it sooner. So right now if I can get it at least the 14th, I should be O'ing around the time of the 19th, so hopefully will have a chance this cycle. Hubby knows how much I want to be pregnant again, and I told him last night that he may not have as much BD as he would think around his b-day since I couldn't be pregnant cause I wouldn't get put under if I was.

Congratulations Joelle!
camdynlyn A belated welcome!! I totally missed your post when I was here yesterday...sorry!
Ericka Sorry to hear that you have to have all 4 removed. At leat you will be healed before your trip and able to BDing after. Good luck!
So yesterday I posted that AF had come over the weekend, it was very light. Well yesterday I had barely anything, so I broke down last night and tested, BFN. :( I was kind of bummed but needed to know so I can move on to the next month. I also decided to start temping as well. Since I started this morning and I'm on CD3, I figured this would be my test month for charting.
Good luck to everyone testing or waiting...crossing my fingers for you all!

11-29-2005, 07:18 AM
duke'sflygirl Congrats!!
Michelle When I got my positive OPK (I used the Target Brand, too), they went from light to as dark as the control line, to then darker than the control line. I could see it had started to lighten the next day.
If it went from light to slightly darker then back to light again, you could have had a quick LH surge, which is why they say if you're getting close to O you can test more than once a day. Of course, then there's that whole concentrated urine thing, that if it's more diluted, the line might be lighter.
~~~
Back to CD1 for me. I was hopeful with the spotting that seemed to be lasting forever, but looking back, I had spotting (brownish) for three days before AF arrived last month, so it was to be expected. I was thinking of testing this morning if it hadn't showed, but it did, with a vengeance. Ick. I hate that the proof you're not pregnant is a gross, sometimes painful period.
So, we'll be in the boring part of the cycle, no early Christmas gifts for us this year!
Sorry about AF, suiej. :(
I'm only on CD18 so I doubt it's implantation spotting but I guess you never know, right? Realistically though, I'm pretty sure it's not considering I was still having EWCM this morning and my temps haven't been consistently high at all. I'll use reverse psychology and assume that I've just O'd or am about to O instead of getting my hopes up. ;) I should probably check with the charting group too since I'm keeping a chart and that might help figure it out. *sigh*
Thank you so much looty and Suiej for answering my OPK questions. I'm just so confused! I'm going to give them a try next month and see how it goes. I'm still learning!
Welcome Camdynlyn!
Not much to report here. I'm on CD 21 and just waiting it out.
Good luck to everybody who is testing!
No problem Michelle. I am not sure I was of much help but I tried. I hope you won't need to try next month!;)
Do you think that it is the flu or pg symptoms?
Where is everyone else?
Joelle... cool! I know they're supposed to be pretty dangerous though, so please take care of yourself... you, and the rest of our Sea King pilots! And, congrats again!
Nothing new here.... waiting. It seems all we do is wait. Sigh. I don't think I'm pg this time though, but I'd love to be proven wrong! lol. CD23. I have no idea when/if I should test. My chart makes no sense. My cycles make no sense. I guess I'll go check in with my dr after I get back from vacation to see what he thinks we should do... just keep waiting, chart better, or test to see WHY my cycles make no sense.
Good luck to the rest of you though... let's hope tomorrow will eb the first day of a month full of BFPs!!!!
