Wednesday morning, I noticed that my cat's third eyelid (or "haw") in her left eye was visible. It was only visible in the left eye, though, not both eyes. When I got home, I noticed she also had a droopy upper eyelid, her eye looked sunken, and the pupil of that eye was smaller. It looked like this: http://www.purinaone.com/images/articles/ill_cat_horners.jpg (Picture from PurinaONE page)

I did some internet research and discovered Horner's Syndrome (which my mom's cat actually has). My cat had slammed hard into the door frame of our office the night before so I figured it was just a nerve issue but decided I'd make an appointment for the vet first thing on Thursday. Well, when I got up Thursday morning, her eye was fine, so I didn't call the vet. Thursday night it was still fine, except it seemed to have a slight film on it so the light reflected a bit weird until she'd blink the film away.

Today (Friday) it is perfectly normal. Any thoughts on what could have caused the symptoms and why they disappeared so quickly? Everything I read about Horner's Syndrome indicated that it's duration is usually at least 4-6 weeks. I mean, I'm glad it's better, but I'm a little befuddled and worried. Should I still take her to the vet or just wait and see? She does have feline herpes which I know can show eye symptoms when the virus is active and she has been under some stress lately with many guests and my longer work hours.

Im not really sure what that might be, but I would probably make an appt to take her to the vet just to be certain that she is ok.
