On my way home from work today, I spied two dogs running alongside the road (a side two-laner, but still moderately busy). One was a small Shih Tzu type, and the other was a Siberian Husky puppy. Less than six months, I would guess. I couldn't believe my eyes. So, as usual while everyone else just braked and drove by, I stopped. They were both the cutest things, but especially that puppy. NO COLLAR OR TAGS!!! The smaller dog had a collar, but no tag. I walked up to the house we were in front of, but no one answered, so I walked next door. The smaller dog followed me, I carried the puppy. A guy came out and said, "Oh, yeah, they live here. Where were they?" I was like, "ON THE ROAD!!" He said, "Well, we just got this puppy, He doesn't listen at all."
OMG!! I'm sure I don't have to say any of this to you guys, but HELLO, it's a puppy, you have to WATCH IT!! It doesn't just come trained, you have train it!!! And get it a damn collar with tags on it, so next time you aren't watching it, whoever finds it can bring it home. DUMB ASS!!!!
What really ticks me off is that at the other side of their house, a steep, wooded bank without any fencing goes down to a busy four-lane highway!! The dogs could have easily turned right instead of left when they left the yard and ended up on that highway.
Some people just shouldn't be allowed to have animals.
