I don't have one of those, but I do have a different kind of undercoat blade - it's like this one I spoted on ebay here. (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=46305&item=3983659550&rd=1) It works REALLY well on my two dogs. Although they are both short hair, they shead LOADS! We use this daily and it really seems to help.

I also found some similar to the one on QVC for under $10 - do a google search for "undercoat rake". I think I would try a cheapy first.

Good Luck!

We use this one for our Vizsula mix and it works wonderful!!! It may not work for dogs with longer hair, but it's great for pulling out her undercoat. Sinclair319--could you explain how you use the stripping knife. From reading the package, I guess that you hold the fur between the knife and your thumb and then pull up? Does it really cut the fur or does it just remove the dead fur?

seapod--they sell undercoat rakes at pet stores. I've tried the shedding blades that were posted, but it doesn't really get down deep enough. undercoat rake (http://www.petsmart.com/global/product_detail.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=84552444177 7731&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374302026118&ASSORTMENT%3C%3East_id=2534374302023689&bmUID=1120260666189). It works well on shelties. I'm still looking for something to manage the really rough fur around her tail.
