Ugh-- I am so sick of going to weddings and wearing my hair in my everyday style-- straight and boring! I have very straight hair that does nothing, but I don't know how to style it in any cool way to wear to a wedding. Help!

Would you consider a new cut or do you just want to try a new hair style for your long hair?? If you're willing to try a new cut, you could keep your length, but add layers starting just above the ears - it adds a lot of oomph! Then, you can go curly or straighten it to show off the defined layers.
ETA: This is the type of layer I was talking about:

Or if you're unwilling to go for a new cut:

My cut is actually pretty new-- it's long, with bangs, which I don't really like too much and am growing out.
Those styles are great but my problem is the how-to part of it-- I don't know how to do anything cool to my hair... I'll try to post some pics.

Recent pics of my hair (I'm on the right in the first picture, obviously:)

I'm just looking for easy things to do to my hair to dress it up for a wedding, basically. And how to do it would be awesome, too!

You have lovely hair! It looks like it's long enough to put in a chignon. Let's see if I can describe how to do this.... I"m grabbing my own hair to try to figure out how I do this :).
Gather your hair in a low (not secured) ponytail at the base of your neck. Twist the ponytail while pulling it up towards the ceiling. For a neat look, take any hair that passes above the top of your head and tuck it back behind the already twisted part. For a messy look, leave it sticking up, not twisted. Then, sort of pull the hair on the "outside" side of the twist over the twisted part (sort of smooth it over the bump created by the twist). Secure with a comb or with hairpins.

Another idea if you want most of your hair down:
Pull back your bangs straight back and pin with two bobby pins creating an X, then blowdry/flatiron/curling iron the ends to flick them up, or curl into soft big curls.

or
Pull all of your hair back into a highish ponytail, take thin sections and pin them making a curl pinned to your head, creating a donut like chignon, which is a highly popular wedding 'do.

The October Issue of "In Style" has a section about quick hairstyles with Carmen Electra. It has a "How to", product recommendations, plus beauitiful pictures. I've done two of them and they are really easy and look really nice. I am sorry I can't find a link online!
