Ok, I am in a rut here...
I am getting really frustrated trying to find a product that works for me. I have oily skin/acne prone skin and right now I am using Proactiv, but I feel like it is not *completely* working for me. I have heard good things about Aveeno products, but I am always scared about switching to a new product. What do you girls think about their products? I know everyone's skin is different, but I just wanted to get some opinions. TIA! :)

I started using the Aveeno Clear Complexion line after my derm recommended it after visiting him a couple of weeks ago. Being pg, my skin is out of control but after just a couple of weeks I have noticed a difference already. I really like the cleanser because it hasn't dried my skin out like a lot of other products designed to help with complexions. It's also inexpensive so it was definitely worth a shot in my book :)

I started using the Clear Complexion cleansing pads, which I love because they're already pre-moistened and they have the exfoliating side. I also using the moisurizer, too, which is supposed to help with breakouts. So far, I've had no problems with either.

Actually, no I haven't. Would you recommend it for oily skin?

I believe they have a "formula" for oily skin.

I use the blue bottle^^ and it says for normal/oily skin.
Cetaphil® Daily Facial Cleanser For Normal to Oily Skin is effective for normal, combination or oily skin. Its non-irritating formula is designed to remove surface oils, dirt and makeup without leaving skin feeling tight or overly dry. It is a foaming cleanser that leaves skin with a clean feeling. It doesn’t leave behind any irritating residue and is non-comedogenic.

I use Aveeno products and love them. To wash my face at night, I use the
Clear Complexion Cleansing Pads

(when I wash my face in the morning or after a workout, I use Philosophy Purity)
Every day, I use the Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer with SPF 15 on my face and neck

and Aveeno baby Calming Comfort Lotion (yes, baby - I love the lavendar & it really moisturizes) on my arms and legs.

Except for the T-Zone on my face, I have pretty dry skin.

ooh i think i am going to have to go get some aveeno! i'm in the same boat, proactive does nothing for me. Plus, I'm preggo too and my skin is out of control.
gokatgo how do you like philosophy? i've thought about trying that as well.

I use the Postively Radiant moisturizer as well - it works really well for me. I use it every day - I think it's something about the soy base that makes it so effective. I just use Dove soap and water for cleansing, and then the Aveeno lotion - I don't really wear makeup.
I live in a really dry climate and I have to drink about a gallon of water every day - and even with all of that water I was still feeling like my face was dry with some of the other moisturizers. The Aveeno lotion is the only thing I have found that makes my skin feel hydrated.

I have very oily skin, especially during the summer and I think Cetaphil's cleanser for normal/oily skin works great!!! I also use Aveeno's Clear Complezion daily moisturizer.

A really good moisturizer for oily skin is Clarins Hydra-Day Matte Lotion/

Its a little pricey, but it works really well.

I love the philosophy! I use the Aveeno pads if I want some extra scrubbing (esp. if I have makeup on), but I use the philosophy at least half the time.

I TOTALLY *heart* Aveeno products! I use the daily cleanser and toner. I'm sort of loyal to my Avon moisturizers, otherwise I would try the Aveeno line for this.

Aveeno is AWESOME.
I can't even explain how acne prone my skin is-- I mean, I've tried EVERYTHING (OTC and from the derm) and nothing has worked like this. Even just their clear complexion soap is great!!!
That said, products are skin specific. Something that doesn't bother my skin, may bother yours--- but I'd say it's worth a try!

I personally have never used their products but my boyfriend's mother swears by them. She uses the body wash, the body lotion, the face moisturizer, everything. She has really dry skin though, but its deffinatly noticable when she has been using it because her skin looks fabulous and she looks more beautiful when her skin isn't dry and swollen.

I use Aveeno Skin Brightening Daily Scrub, and I wouldn't conceive of using anything else!

So here's my story...
I was using the Aveeno cleansing pads and had a terrible reaction, but not on my face!!  I'm not really sure what happened (my derm didn't know either) but my hands just went crazy! My finger tips went numb and my hands started peeling like crazy! So I quit using the pads and eventually everything went away. That happened the first week in November and they're just getting back to normal. I had to do serious lotion treatments and sleep with vitamin E gloves on!
But don't let my story scare you away. I've heard great things about Aveeno, but it just isn't for me. I have sensitive skin and would never touch the stuff again! Everyone is different, but I thought I'd share my experience. Good luck in your search!

I'm using some of the Aveeno products. I use the Clear Complexion foaming cleanser, and use the Postively Radiant moisturizer in the morning (I use the Clear Complexion moisturizer at night).
I'm pretty happy with it, but I don't really have overall acne- just combination skin that's oily with some blackheads/whiteheads on my nose and chin. I've been using it for a few weeks.
My skin looks pretty good, but my blemishes aren't clearing up like I'd hoped. I may switch to Murad after this, but I tried the Aveeno since I thought it'd be less likely to dry out my skin (which it hasn't). I also tend to have sensitive skin, and the Aveeno hasn't bothered me at all. I've also tried the Positively Radiant body wash and thought it was ok- I don't know how radiant it made me, but it didn't make me itchy like many body washes I've tried.

It's nice to hear people's reactions to the different Aveeno lines. I use the Clear Complexion face wash and really like it. Though, I find that I still get the occasional breakouts, so I wouldn't say it's perfect. I've tried the Positively Radiant wash 2x now, and my skin is pretty unhappy the next day, so I'm guessing that one's not for me , plus I don't really like the texture of it and I find it's hard to rinse off. I haven't tried the moisturizers yet-I really like my Clinique one. BUt, I think when that runs out I may try one of the Aveeno ones.
P.S. I also love their body lotion and they make a lavender stress-free lotion which sounds great. DH also loves their shaving cream.

Even though I work under the WorldWide company that manufactures Aveeno, and could get it at deep discount, I have never tried their products. I really do need to start taking care of my skin though, and since coming here and reading the praises, I will have to give it a try! :)

Aveeno's Clear Complezion daily moisturizer.

I use Biore cleansers, but I just bought Aveeno's Clear Complexion moisturizer last night, and after using it once, I can already tell a difference! My skin is super soft without being greasy. And it's fighting those nasty pimples while I'm sitting at my desk. :)
