Sorry if this is TMI, but my doctor is out of town.

Since I had my daughter on May 29th, I have had 2 hemoraging (sp?) episodes in which I lost a ton of blood really fast. The doctor on call said this is nothing to worry about and to take it easy until my check up on July 12th. I had Abbey a month ago and am STILL bleeding bright red, is this normal? I'm not lifiting anything heavier than Abbey and am not even going on walks. I'm not in any pain, but I don't seem to be getting better either.

Thanks! :)

IIRC I bled for quite a while after I had DD. How do you feel otherwise? Do you feel weak or anything?

I bled for 6 weeks (both heavy and light), then it stopped....then all the sudden at 8 weeks I started bleeding again (light, then heavy, then light again). It was random and at first I thought it was AF, but turns out it wasn't. Everyone is different, some women only bleed for a few days, some for weeks, some for a few months or more. Don't worry...it will eventually stop :)

I too think your bleeding is normal. I bled for 6 weeks after having DD. It lightend up quite a bit that last week. Everyone is different, but it is common to bleed for several weeks. I remember feeling like it was never going to stop!

I bled for almost exactly 6 weeks and it was always bright red. Your bleeding sounds normal, confirm with your OB on the 12th if your still concerned.

I was in the same boat as the ladies posting and yourself. But there is always a reason to be concerned especially if it is all new to you. I was passing huge blood clots, larger than golfballs, for weeks. If the on call doctor said to wait, it is because they see it quite often. If you feel you need to be seen and won't feel comortable until doing so, I would call and get an appt sooner. Sometimes just having it checked out and knowing everything is ok, will make you feel more at ease until it stops.
