Hi all-
My challenge for myself this year is to *make* all Christmas gifts. Anyone want to join in? Even if not, I'm hoping to start a collection of creative but rather simple gift ideas that you can make. Here are my contributions/ some ideas so far:
Stationery:
Buy good quality blank stationery.
Buy nice printed paper- wrapping paper works great!
Use a computer and colored printer to design a heading for the sheets/cards.
Make a template out of thin cardboard to serve as a guide in cutting the printed paper as envelope liners.
Glue the liners in.
Find a pretty folder or box to put it in.
Recipe Collection:
Use a binder and sheet protectors to start a recipe collection for someone; add some of your favorite recipes to get it started.
Hot Water Bottle Snugglie:
Buy a hot water bottle and find/buy some really soft, plushy fabric (minkee or fleece?). Make a cover for the hot water bottle. I've also seen folks use fleecy white or pink material and make a more complicated snugglie that looks like a lamb or a pig, complete with googlie eyes and tail and legs.
