I got bangs about 5 months ago, and for the last month or so I’ve had really bad acne on my forehead. I haven’t had bangs since high school, and I don’t think I’d remember if they caused acne then or not. Does anyone else have this problem?

Heck yes. I am growing them out ASAP.

ETA: Try to use as little product as possible on your bangs. I've also found it helps to change your pillowcase every day, or every other day at least.

I would try switching your hair product, if you use one. Maybe something more natural, like Aveda?

I don’t use any hair products except for fragrance free shampoo from Whole Foods. Not even conditioner. I never thought about changing my pillow case. Maybe I should go buy some more pillow cases.

greenbunny, I'm growing my bangs out, too, along with the rest of my hair. Today I have the hottest bangs-pinned-back-with-a-bobby-pin-exposing-a-giant-zit look.

I have been getting zits on my forehead for the past couple of months and I couldn't figure out why. That was around the same time I had bangs cut, so I wonder if that's what's causing mine too. Its definitely a good think to know.

I have bad acne either way so I figured the bangs helped cover them up. I may have to try switching my pillow cases more often though. Good to know.

I agree with this. I am not at all prone to acne or breakouts, but using certain products (even just shampoo and conditioner) makes me have breakouts on my forehead and hairline. I use Tony and Guy products without problems.

No advice for you but I remember the same thing when I had bangs in high school. It was the best part of growing them out!
