Hello Ladies!

I don't know about any of you, but wedding planning is driving me mad. FH and I are now looking into having a small ceremony with just the 2 of us, then heading back to Wisconsin (where his family and our friends are) and having the reception everyone so desperatly wanted us to have.

I was wondering if anyone had had a Disney Wedding. We're actually looking at having it on the Disney Cruise. I grew up about a half hour away from Disney when I was a kid and some of my greatest memories ever are there. I am still in love with all things Disney and even worked there for a few years.

Has anyone had a wedding there or attended one? I'm hoping for some feedback, becuase it looks so perfect for us! They'll even play Disney songs during the ceremony!! :) Thank you in advance! :)

I have a coworker who did this. She absolutely loved it. It's perfect if you're sick of planning and want someone to take care of the details for you. The only drawbacks she mentioned were that the photography was outrageously expensive (the packages weren't very good, and you don't get many prints) and the food for the wedding dinner wasn't great - she said she liked the "regular" food better. But like I said, she really loved her wedding. Hope that helps a little. :)

Mandy, congrats on seeing the light and going the easier route!! I'm sure your wedding will be beautiful, and you won't have any accompanying migraines or panic attacks. :p I think there was a thread somewhere around here that was started by a former Disney employee that might be of help...if I can find it I'll link it here for you...

edit: Found it! (http://www.constantchatter.com/showthread.php?t=202&highlight=Disney) I was wrong. It's a resident Disney cast member, hope this helps!

Hi there. I didn't have a Disney wedding, but if I could have had any wedding in the world ($$ not an object), I would have wanted a Cinderella wedding. Your idea sounds wonderful and it will take a lot of planning stress off of you. Let us know how it's coming along.

I would say your first step should be checking out www.disneyweddings.com and sign up to receive the free video and planning materials. If you'd like to stay on Disney property, I can get you a 40% discount :) PM me if you'd like any more info.

Thanks for responding ladies! :)

FH and I are still looking into it. It looks like it may be a bit too expensive since we still plan on having a reception as soon as we get home. Just for a 20 minte ceremony on the cruise it's $2,900...on top of what you've already paid for the cruise. My dad and mom are talking about it since they know that's something I would never forget (I always wanted a Disney wedding growing up) but it seems a bit too much for what we're looking for. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

Anyway, thanks again everyone! :) I'll let you know if it happens!

DH and I got married at Walt Disney World in 2003. Getting married there was the best decision we could have made!

I don't know much about weddings on the Disney Cruise Line, but I can answer questions about weddings at WDW, if anyone is interested.

There's a message board called Disneymooners that provides a TON of information:

Good luck!
