Edmonton Woman's Show (http://woman.edmontonshows.com/).

He was interviewed on one of the radio shows here in Boston a few weeks ago. He said he is going to be doing a weekly segment on one of the morning shows-- I think CBS. I think it starts in a few months.

After their wedding, they moved to Pensacola, Florida. That's all that I've heard of them. I always thought they were so cute together.

I think I'm in the "love to hate them, or hate to love them" mode with Romber.

I read somewhere that Rob's hosting some sort of show, something having to do with "Robs reality" or something like that, I can't remember exactly. Guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens.

thanks girls! I'll be interested in seeing them soon. I'm sure they are still making tons of money off of their fifteen minutes at the Women's shows and stuff like that.

savannahgrl Did you see the house he built for her in Pennsecola?

Just saw this online:

The Reality of Romber

Calgary Sun
October 20, 2005

They fell in love on Survivor. They travelled the world on The Amazing Race. They married on a CBS primetime special.

Now reality TV stars Rob and Amber Mariano are contemplating taking a run on a Newlywed type show.

“That’s always a possibility,” says Amber from their Florida home. “I can see why people would want to see that. People feel like they know us so well … they are itching to see what’s next.”

While Am-buh and Boston Rob are tossing around the idea of becoming the new Nick and Jessica, they say there are a number of reality shows people shouldn’t expect to see them on.

“Big Brother, for me, is probably a definite no. I just couldn’t see myself being locked up in a house for three months straight,” says Amber. “As far as The Apprentice, I think that’s something Rob might be interested in doing. For me, I tried out for Survivor because I was so depressed that I was going to have to work — why would I try out for a show where I’m going to work? That’s like my worst nightmare.”

Thankfully for Amber, and her bank account, Romber’s fame doesn’t appear to be diminishing.

The couple, who will be in town this weekend for the Calgary Woman’s Show, are the new spokespeople for the Scene It? Squabble DVD board game, due out next week.

Amber is also preparing for the release of her book Amber’s Guide for Girls, which is expected to be on shelves next month.

Rob, on the other hand, will star in a CBS Early Show segment called Rob to the Rescue, in which he will help people solve on-going problems in their lives.

“It can be literally anything,” Rob says. “It can be about a project that you’ve been putting off for a while or about a bad relation you want to get out of. Maybe I’ll breakup with guys, for girls.”

Despite having more than enough on their plates, Rob and Amber are not closing the door on an Amazing Race All-Star edition. The reason? They want the $1 million US they believe was taken from them on The Amazing Race 7, when winners Uchenna and Joyce Agu were let on their flight after the walkway had already been pulled back from the plane.

“It was very strange,” says Amber. “It just seemed a little shady to us. It’s a sore subject and we don’t like to talk about it but … time will heal, I guess.”

In the meantime, the Marianos are concentrating on the future and their upcoming weekend in Calgary.

“We’ve heard so many great things about Calgary — we are really looking forward to coming there and meeting our fans,” says Amber. “We’ll sign autographs, answer questions … It’ll be a lot of fun.”

I saw Rob and Amber today!

They were signing autographs and pushing some new board game... I forget what it's called.
Anyway, they were at a local mall here in Toronto. And I gotta say they both looked good! :)

Maybe b/c they're one of the few "celebrity" couples I felt that would actually last.

They have a new show coming out called something like "The Rob and Amber Project". It is suppose to be a reality show. I read this somewhere:

they embark on "the most challenging phase of their young marriage" -- Rob's plan to move to Las Vegas and become a professional gambler.

I sat next to them on an airplane back in March. They were sitting in coach and didn't say one word to each other the whole flight which I thought was bizarre. My Dh had no idea who they were.

thank you tinkerbelljenny!

Here's (http://www.boston.com/ae/celebrity/articles/2006/07/27/rob_and_amber_back_to_reality/?rss_id=Boston+Globe+--+Living+%2F+Arts+News) an interview I found that was in the Boston Globe last week.

The Rob and Amber Project is slated to start in January (http://www.eonline.com/News/Items/0,1,19528,00.html?rsslatest) on the Fox Reality network.

Heck yeah, I'm tuning in!!

You know what though... DH and I don't really talk to each other on planes either. it's so loud in the cabin and DH hates to fly, so he'd rather just focus. I usually read or sleep and we barely talk during a flight - even the flight to hawaii.

I don't talk to DH much on planes either. I'm reading and he's listening to the IPOD or watching a movie.

Just this weekend we played our Scene It Squabble game which Romber promoted last fall. I got to meet them and had them sign my game and get a picture with the two of em. Cheesy...but I did love them. Sucks they are going to do more reality TV though. I just don't think many reality TV couples seem to work through it all.

They didn't talk at all after the flight either on the way to the next plane. Amber read on the plane and Rob just sat there and they didn't even look at each other which was really bizarre. They didn't even really walk by each other after the flight Amber was way ahead of Rob, maybe they were trying to act like they were not together?

Rob and Amber are two former Survivor contestants who fell in love on Survivor All Stars. They've since gotten married and competed on The Amazing Race together.

I was okay with them having their wedding on TV, but this whole Vegas gig is pathetic. Give it up people and get a REAL job. Your fifteen minutes was up over a year ago.

Wonder what they did with the house they built in Florida. Agree the Vegas gig is obnoxious, but maybe they are doing it just for the show  I thought Rob started a construction business in Florida.

Not to beat a dead horse, but maybe they had a fight. I know when I travel (regardless of time of the month) I get VERY testy and mean. I yell at DH a lot and we end up getting cranky at each other. More often than not DH will walk ahead of me because his legs are longer and he'll rush ahead to the baggage area.

Just a thought. Not that i really care this much about Romber. :)

I've been known to give DH the silent treatment when I'm mad at him too. ;) And I'm usually the one walking ahead of him. I'll walk faster just so I don't have to walk by him. LOL It's petty, I know but I'm not reasonable when he's ticked me off.

Wasn't their house located in Pensacola or somewhere close to that? I wonder if they are keeping it and getting another one in Vegas? I guess we will find out in the show!

Rob and Amber return to The Amazing Race

It definitely worked for Survivor. It sort of worked for Big Brother. Now the Amazing Race is getting in on the all-star act.

CBS has confirmed that the 11th edition of the round the world reality show will bring back some—though not all—of the series' biggest names, for The Amazing Race: All-Stars. And the excluded teams have had no qualms in expressing their outrage.

Perennial reality show also-ran Rob Mariano and former Survivor champ Amber Brkich have been tapped to return for yet another shot at unscripted glory, as has Amazing duo David and Mary Conley, aka Team Kentucky from the most recent edition of the Emmy-winning series.

Strongly rumored to be joining the foursome are season five faves, couple Colin Guinn and Christie Woods (that season's runners-up) and cousins Mirna Hindoyan and Charla Faddoul.

The perpetually bickering season six couple Jonathan Baker and Victoria Fuller, who landed their own Dr. Phil prime-time special such was the interest in their relationship, will not return, nor will season nine winners BJ Averell and Tyler Macniven, or season five winners, married couple Chip and Kim McAllister, arguably one of the most popular teams from the series' 10 seasons.

At least to hear them tell it.

In a video post to their joint MySpace blog last month, which was removed after less than a day, lashed out at Amazing Race producers for excluding them from the all-star installment.

"I don't want to sugarcoat this or anything, there is definitely going to be an Amazing Race: All-Stars, they will be starting within the next few days and Kim and I never got a phone call from anyone, not from [the executive producers], not from CBS, not from anyone," Chip said.

"We have run the gamut of emotions. I hate to be one of these kind of people that thinks he's entitled to be an All-Star—I may not actually, Kim and I may not be All-Stars material—but to be completely forgotten by CBS and the CBS decision makers...it really doesn't feel good. We could have been contacted."

While he may have got the sentiment right, his timeline was slightly off.

According to Variety, Amazing Race: All-Stars began filming just last week in Miami. But Chip and Kim weren't the only non-invitees to express their disappointment.

Season nine winners BJ and Tyler, who incidentally sent fan forums into a frenzy this spring when homoerotic photos of them with fellow Racers Jeremy Ryan and Eric Sanchez were leaked online, sounded off on their exclusion via CBS.com's Former Racers Blog, where the duo were meant to be offering commentary on the show's 10th season.

"What would be ironic is if someone were putting together an all-star version of the race and contacted teams like [season seven teams] Lynn & Alex and Brian & Greg, but did not contact us, the most popular and amazing team of all time, about it," Tyler wrote in a post last month.

"Trust me, if they were doing that, they would contact us," BJ added. "We were the most well-liked team ever to compete on the Race...I'm sure they wouldn't just pick a gimmicky team like Rob & Amber, or a 'competitive' team like Colin & Christie, and turn their backs on friendly winning teams like us and Chip & Kim, leaving us to find out about it from some gossip site."

Right.

While no other competitors have yet been confirmed, most seasons are expected to be represented with the exception of the eighth, widely panned family edition.

The all-star race, to be once again hosted by Phil Keoghan, is expected to kick off early next year, ensuring "gimmicky" couple Rob and Amber's will be unavoidable in reality TV land. The twosome will appear in their own Newlywed-type show, dubbed Rob and Amber: Against the Odds, on the Fox Reality Channel in January.
