I have lots of ideas for the girls, but the guys I am so lost. What did your groomsmen get? My FH has no idea what to get them.

We got our groomsmen beer bottle openers with capcatchers that have their name, their role, and our wedding date.

www.Capcatchers.com

They all drink beer, or at least have people over that do. It has the ability to magnet onto the fridge or screw into the wall.

HTH :D

Our groomsmen got these funky flasks that have a "tube" for a cigar. They were silver and were engraved with their names. Curt bought Cuban cigars for them in Mexico on our honeymoon.

similar to this, but only two "tubes":

Please do not get them cufflinks, flasks, or pocket watches. My husband has been in 10 weddings and now has 3 flasks, 4 sets of cufflinks, and 3 pocket watches.

(we only had one groomsman and gave him a couple DVDs)

We're thinking something techy, a la Sharper Image. The GM are all really into stuff like that. www.thinkgeek.com also has some really cool stuff that most guys would like (gadgets, etc... not just for geeks!)

We purchased beer mugs for each of our groomsmen. Just because EVERY one of them is a beer drinker, and we knew they would be used alot.
Here's an example of what we got them: (a pic off of ebay, but you get the idea.)

And here's a pic that you can kind of see them in use....

Hi there. We gave our groomsmen personalized beer mugs and money clips (not personalized, just nice leather ones). It sort of depends on the personality of the guys. If they all love sports, you could do tickets to a game. Or a gift certificate for a round of golf. My husband's favorite groomsmen gift is a Dallas Cowboy's flask. You can do CD's or DVD's based on each guy's taste. If they're all drinkers, you could do bottles of wine with a corkscrew. Or a bottle of liquor and a shot glass. A bottle opener and their favorite beer. Can you tell my DH and his friends are all big drinkers? ;) You could also do wallets or ties. Men are hard to shop for!

We're giving ours flasks. I know it's pretty standard (and someone said not to), but ours all drink and we know they'd use them and they don't already have several.

Now if only I knew what to get the girls...

We gave our groomsmen flasks as well. We also gave them a bottle of their favorite liquor. They do like to drink. ;) We gave our ushers engraved stainless steel beer mugs. I think the ushers get more use out of their beer mugs than the guys with the flasks do.

We bought our only groomsman a couple different dvd sets because we knew he would like them. Another idea we thought about was concert or sports tickets. Those can be very popular and individualized for each groomsman.

We got our guys Pilsner glasses engraved with their name and role.

For my girls, i actually joined Avon because the first 4 orders you get 50% profit. I bought then lotions, perfumes, accesories...a ton of stuff actually. I got it all for half price. Then i went to walmart and found these cute little tote bags on sale and i bought them each one and filled it up with their avon goodies.

We got our guys a multi-purpose tool engraved with their initials. They seemed to really love them! They were similar to the ones found here (http://www.favors-gifts.com/catalog/item/2182988/1609571.htm#image_1).

We did something totally different. We got my brother a set of book ends and the Best Man a plaque about caring for animals (he's a vet) and a smaller set of bookends with animals on them. The guys loved them.

My DH took his best man and groomsmen to play golf at a very nice golf course the morning of the wedding. (Everyone was shocked that I was ok with him going off and doing something, but come on, it takes guys about 10 minutes to get ready, and what else were they going to do? Probably just sleep late.) They had a great time, and our photographer went with them and got some great shots. It was nice because they're all good friends, but they hadn't seen each other in a couple of years, so they got to spend a lot of time together, just the guys, that morning. Even though most of them aren't very good golfers, they had a lot of fun, especially on the golf carts. :)

My DH's groomsmen are all football fans, so DH decided to get them each a ticket to a Seahawks football game. They went to the game a couple of months after our wedding & had a great time. :)

We gave our groomsmen Zippo lighters engraved with their initials. None of the guys smoke or anything, but they all are big campers. We did ask my 14 year old cousin's mom first, though, since he was younger. They all still have and use them.
