Hi Ladies, I'm meeting a new mom friend of mine in a couple hours for coffee and I'd like to bring her a little something. I'm currently at my office so making food isn't an option. Another friend of mine suggested a manicure gift certificate as a treat for her, but I wasn't sure if she'd kind of roll her eyes like - hello.... I've got a newborn... manicures are not at the top of the list... :D
When your baby was 1 month, what would have been an appreciated gift?
Thanks!

A Starbucks gift card! That was my fav gift with a newborn. I made sure to get out of the house at least once a day and since there is a Starbucks less than half a mile from my house (and I'm sure most people's houses :D), I often ended up there. Plus, it was a nice place to meet up with other moms and to stop in for a drink if I was at the mall.
I was only able to get one manicure with the baby as a newborn, luckily he didn't wake up until they were on the pedicure.

That is a great idea Steph! Esp. since she said she really enjoys getting out of the house. Thank you!
I'm putting a copy of this over in the new Gift Ideas (http://www.constantchatter.com/forumdisplay.php?f=95) thread. You might want to pop over from time to time to update it with the sort of things you might want to give or receive as gifts
