I have a leather Hobo Coach bag from 2000. I used it daily for about a year and it started looking beat up, so I stopped using it but I really liked it. It actually started to turn grey in one corner because a nickel was stuck in the corner. I took it to the store and they didn't know what was wrong. They just sold me a cream the first visit. I took it back a second time and a sales associate found it.

So know I'm trying to decide what to do with it. I know that they have a repair service for $20 but I'm not sure what they could do for it. I'm trying to decide if it would be worth it. Can anyone tell me if they've used this service?

I did one time, and i will never use it again. I had one of those big leather totes with the wide leather handles, i think it was the soho line. I used to carry around my laptop and books when i was in college, so it got a little beat up. The handles were leather, and they started to peel. So i sent it away, thinking that they would simply replace the handles. well, they didn't. they basically cut the sides of the straps and painted over it. it completely changed the look of the bag, and i never used it again. too bad, because i loved that bag!
