I missed the entire season-- and just started watching the reruns a couple of weeks ago-- but what a great show! I can't believe it's on UPN :p
Anyone else watching/watched it?

Veronica Mars was my favorite new show last season. I believe it won a distinction of best unwatched show (probably due to being on UPN) I was thrilled when they renewed it for another season.

Question-- why are they randoming skipping around with the episodes in reruns???
I'm somewhat confused by last night's episode. Who is the dude that Veronica sent pictures to? Why is he important???
I pretty much know what happened during the whole season (for example- I know who killed Lily Kane), but I don't know why... I was hoping to get some back story, but it doesn't work when they just start showing random episodes!

I haven't watched the reruns but I heard they were skipping around. It's silly. I think it's an amazing show and I enjoy it just as much as Lost, Desperate Housewives or my other faves. Glad others are watching it. I can't wait till Fall!

I'm a newly converted Veronica fan thanks to the summer re-runs! The out of order episodes is frustrating, but I read somewhere that there isn't enough weeks before the new season to show all the entire first season, so they're just showing those most relevent to the whole Lilly Kane mystery. Looking forward to finding out what happens!!

I'm so glad that there are more VM fans!
They've started to air the shows in order now... I know most of the plotlines-- just not how they were revealed.
I just wish that this show were on a better channel! Nothing against UPN, but this show would be a huge hit if it were on ABC or NBC :(

I also wish for a better channel for the series. MTV played the season opening episode when it was starting and I was hooked. I'm unsure why MTV was also showing it for a few weeks.

Just read this at zap2it.com... I love Charisma Carpenter-- so YAY!
LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) With seven years of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "Angel" under her belt, Charisma Carpenter knows from cult TV. So it seems somewhat natural that she would pop up on "Veronica Mars.
Carpenter, last seen in several episodes of "Charmed," will have a recurring part on the UPN show's second season. The series has also signed up '80s movie star Steve Guttenberg ("Police Academy," "Three Men and a Baby") for a recurring role, echoing somewhat the casting of Harry Hamlin last season.
Both will appear in "Veronica's" second-season premiere this fall; Carpenter has signed for a minimum of six episodes, and Guttenberg will appear in at least seven shows.
Carpenter will play Kendall Casablancas, the trophy-wife stepmother to Dick (Ryan Hansen) and Cassidy "Beaver" Casablancas (Kyle Gallner) -- two of Veronica's (Kristen Bell) tormentors at Neptune High. The Casablancas boys also held a key to untangling the mystery of what Veronica believed was her rape the previous year.
Carpenter is the second former "Buffy" regular to appear on the show, following Alyson Hannigan, who appeared as Logan's (Jason Dohring) older sister last season. Her other recent credits include a stint on "Miss Match" and the ABC Family movie "See Jane Date."
Guttenberg, meanwhile, will play Woody Goodman, the owner of a big-league baseball team and a candidate for mayor of Neptune. His daughter, a new student at Neptune High, will also be a character, although the role hasn't been cast yet.

Good news that will hopefully boost the number of Veronica Mars viewers:
In a first for the Eye, net has apparently agreed to air four episodes of UPN's critically loved drama to expose the low-rated skein to more viewers. Warner Bros. TV-produced hour, from exec producers Joel Silver and Rob Thomas, snagged a second-season greenlight despite its Nielsen troubles.
Move marks the first time CBS will air programming from sister net UPN. A few years ago, UPN briefly ran repeats of CBS' "The Amazing Race." Eye plans to air a double shot of "Mars" on July 29 from 8-10 p.m. Two more episodes will air Aug. 5 and 12 at 8 p.m.
Move is low risk for CBS and could have a big upside for UPN. CBS won't have a regularly scheduled series in the Friday-at-8 slot until the fall, when "Ghost Whisperer" premieres. "Mars" will essentially give CBS three weeks of what, to most of its audience, will be firstrun fare.
UPN, meanwhile, gets to expose its signature returning drama to a much broader audience. Net has already been airing a repeat of the show's first season in its new 9 p.m. Wednesday night timeslot in advance of the "Mars" season-two premiere Sept. 21.

I am watching the re-runs now. In Canada they are showing them twice/week (Sunday and Thursday) in order to air them all in time for the new season.
Of course, they or started doing that partway through the season, and if my friend hadn't told me about the Sunday episodes, I would only be watching the Thursday episodes and wondering how I missed so much!

They run them here on Sunday too-- but only the repeats that are shown on Wednesdays :(
I'm slowly catching up-- but there are still holes that, I'm sure, will only be filled when we pick up the 1st season DVD (due out the first week in Oct, I believe).
I have no idea how I'm going to juggle watching all of these TV shows in the fall though!

Thankfully, the finale was last night-- and now my DH knows who killed Lily Kane-- and I know WHY he killed her. It was KILLING me to not tell my DH!

I love this show. Not sure how I feel about everything that happened last night though.
If it makes anyone in here feel any better, there was an article in yesterday's New York Times that mentioned the large number of viewers between the ages of 18 and 49.
I think it's hysterical of the Buffy the Vampire Slayer connection with this show. Two of the shows' stars have appeared on VM and the creator (who professed his love for the show) will be appearing soon. It made me chuckle.
I think the accident will be the whodunit plot of this season (maybe not).

Morning Ladies-
How is everyone? Here are my thoughts on last nights episode.
***WARNING: Spoilers for Normal is the Watchword***
I was a little nervous- after a summer off, I wasn't sure if VM could live up to last years expectations. I was happily surprised yesterday! :)
So glad to see that Keith and Veronica both survived their run in with Aaron with minimal long term damage.
I always have loved Keith and he was in rare form last night- between "encouraging" Wallace and his reaction to the pee stick, he had me giggling.
I was *shocked* at who was at the door. I was really expecting Duncan.
Felix- dead?! WTF? Can't wait to see what happened there.
Ok- the angst between V and Logan? Just about killed me. I'm not married to any particular relationship- but Logan and V have incredible chemistry. However, I completely see why she broke up with him. Honestly, that boy is so damaged and angry that I don't blame her for not wanting to get mixed up in his dangerous games. And my dad (also a cop) would have done the same thing to my boyfriend if he pulled a stunt like Logan did.
Dick cracked me up this episode. I don't like him and I hope they use him very sparingly- but he did make me laugh.
So nice to see Cordy (not sure what her characters name is here) back in action. ;) I read that this character is who Cordy would have been if her family did lose all their money. I agree.
Cordy and Logan having sex?! Ewwww. Although I don't blame him, she's hot.
I like V and Duncan together. They don't have the hotness of Logan and V- but they are sweet together. And stable. And he obviously loves her. I hope we see more of Teddy Dunn's acting ability- the scene at the end where he sees that V isn't on the bus was understated and perfect. Wonder what the fortune inside the cookie said?
Weevil, Weevil, Weevil. Love me my Weevil. I'm glad he and V kinda sorta patched things up in their own way. I really thought Weevil's death was going to be the big mystery of the season. I knew in the last 10 mins we hadn't see the big mystery yet- so when Weevil pulled out of the gas station on his bike, I was waiting for him to get plowed down.
Is Weevil losing control of his gang or is there a new gang in town? One that killed Felix and shot at Logan and V?
The Jets and the Sharks reference made me laugh out loud.
DH loved the South Park reference- I may be able to convince him to keep watching based on that alone.
When did V get so clingy? In every scene she had with either Logan or Duncan, she was all over them. A big departure from last season's Veronica who was squimish about holding hands.
I'm glad Wallace got so much air time- he's one of my favorites.
A little supernatural bent with Lilly's ghost distracting V so she's not on the ill-fated bus. I wouldn't mind if we see more Lilly, but I don't think that is happening.
Meg was a bitch, but I didn't want to see her die.
I didn't see the bus going off the road- I honestly thought the Big Mystery this season would involve a core character (V, Keith, Wallace, Logan, Duncan or Weevil) not something big like this. However, Rob Thomas said the Big Mystery would be revealed in Episode One- so the bus accident has to be it.
All in all, I was very happy with last night's episode. The only thing that didn't thrill me was the jumping from Logan to Duncan- but at least we have a valid reason why V did it. Should make for an interesting triangle as the season goes on. Between the bus accident, Felix's death and now this awful bus accident, I have a feeling we're in for a hell of a ride this season!

I'm so glad this show is back! :)
So there are two potential season long mysteries: 1) Who killed Felix? This is important because it is the driving force for social class tensions in Neptune. 2) What happened to the bus? My immediate and obvious conclusion to that one is that Dick (and possibly Beaver) did something to the bus (cut its break lines or something). But I think that's a little too obvious.
I love how Lily is still a part of Veronica's life and how she's looking out for V. At first I thought Lily just wanted V and Wevil to talk and patch things up, but now I'm thinking that maybe it was an otherworldly way to prevent V from getting back on the bus. I was surprised by the bus accident, but really, were they going to have a Mrs. Dumbass all season long? ;) Sad that Meg is dead though.
I thought the whole boyfriend thing was done well. It gave both sides of the triangle satisfaction. Although, personally, I still like Logan better. That's probably because Logan's character is a little more developed (and complex). Duncan is boring.
Heather719
09-29-2005, 07:44 AM
I knew I was forgetting something-
1) Logan kicking Weevil in the head- not bad for a drunk boy on a bridge. I have to say- I did laugh my ass off at the one. ;)
2) Leo!!! Oh good lord- I do love Leo. I know he and V will never be together- but I really enjoy his character. When he cupped V's face before taking in Logan, that really got me. Such a sweet move!
Ok..done now.

Sooo happy VM is back!! Great episode, so many things going on!
I knew that v/l wouldn't last but my v/d is not working for for me. I still have in the back of my head that he thought they were brother and sister and still had sex. eww. The ending totally took me for surpise! So glad that Weevil back. I heart Weevil.
2) Leo!!! Oh good lord- I do love Leo. I know he and V will never be together- but I really enjoy his character. When he cupped V's face before taking in Logan, that really got me. Such a sweet move!

I was blown away by last night's episode. I agree that V needed to dump Logan over the summer (even thought I'm a huge LoVe fan), but I don't buy her and Duncan back together. Perhaps if we knew what was in the forturne cookie? Anyway, I'm sure Logan was setup at a vulnerable time in his life and they will be back together for prom. Or not. :p
Meg was a huge bitch last night! It seemed so out of character for her, especially if she and Duncan had been broken up for two months before D and V got back together.
What else? Charisma Carpenter rocks! Can't wait to see more of Cordy. Love Weavil! Even though he was peeved at V, he came back to drive her home. Although, WTF was he doing at some random gas station on their way back to Neptune?
I was worried that this season wouldn't be as good as the last, but so far it has started off strong.

O.k Huge VM fan girl here- and I am so excited to find this thread on CC!!! :D I was slightly disappointed by last night's episode. I really feel like they need to develop Duncan's charactor more before I can accept him and V together. I agree! Though, I guess it's been implied that as long as he's taking his drugs, Duncan is fairly normal. For me the chemistry is not there between Kristin Bell and Teddy Dunn--or should I say there is SO much chemistry between Jason Dohring and Kristin Bell that the Veronica/Duncan relationship dims in comparison.
I was SOOOOO surprised she jumped into Duncan's arms when her manager said her boyfriend was there to see her! I think I did a huge *GULP*...
Also, when they first showed the cliff and the smoke-- I screamed (to myself) "Is that the bus???"

I had such a crush on Logan last season. I told myself, though, that if I were Veronica, I would insist that he had anger management counselling before we could be together.
Duncan is boring, but we have never really had the chance to see the two of them together. However, the fact that he is also prone to violent fits is disconcerting. At least this can hopefully be controlled with medication.
Honestly, I keep forgetting about Leo. Every time I see him out of uniform, I have to ask, "Who's that?"

I am VERY intrigued by the name written on the hand. How is that possible again? Would it not wash off? That was the bus driver, right? My hubby and I watched it after Lost-- at first he was a little annoyed because he wanted to watched Invasion... and then once he started to watch he admitted that VM was definitely better :D
In any case...Good to see Wallace have a potential love interest this season! Even if she is a beoytch --anyone else love the scene in the coffee house "You're a macchiato" (hee)?
I was also sad when I saw Logan and Veronica in the hallway at the hotel (but I thought it was really cute when Duncan said, "Maybe we did it wrong?")...
I didn't think the guy on the beach was the bus driver-- I thought they said they pulled all of those bodies...the mystery certainly continues :)

Morning Ladies- another great episode!
***Warning: Spoilers for Drivers Ed***
Here are my thoughts:
Love that Wallace got so much air time
Don't love Wallace's new love interest- he can do much better.
Love V's attitude with the new chick at the coffee bar- sometimes I wish I was were that ballsy!
Love that we got to see Sheriff Lamb- "you left her in there- alone?!"
Not a big fan of the guy running for Mayor (Woody?)- too smary for me.
The fact that Keith is running for sheriff again is *very* interesting. I'm glad to see he changed his mind after seeing what an ass Lamb was.
I really feel for Jessie- what a terrible position to be in! I hope the case is reopened for her sake.
There is no way in holy-hell Meg survived that crash. That really really bugged me last night- they better have good things planned for her this season to make up for this.
Beaver's line of "I guess I'll just stay home and knit something" cracked me up.
I hate to say this- but Duncan and V don't have nearly the chemistry V and Logan do. And it was very apparent last night. The screen just crackled in the sceen in the hotel hallway.
Who was Logan sleeping with at the hotel? Based on the fact that the next scene showed Kendell with Mr. C- I don't think it was her!
V and Duncan's love scene was very tender and very sweet- even though they may not have a lot of chemistry, I really think they do love each other.
Anyone else think that it was going to be V that hit the new chick's car?
Loved Kevin Smith- he made me laugh!
I think the guy pulled from the water was the report that tried to interview Wallace at work.
Heather719

Ok..the dead guy was the guy that V helped light the candle at the beginning of the episode- not the reporter or the bus driver. Interesting....

OK, here are some of my initial thoughts.
-Logan had the best lines last night. My favorite line, just because it was *so* wrong: “But my dad’s a murderer!” Also loved the crack about “If the cuddling was the best part, he did it wrong.”
-So glad Kevin Smith is a fan of the show and did a guest spot. I tried to use that as a selling point for the show to my DH but it didn’t work…hockey took precedence. :(
-Beaver is such a cutie, black sheep that he is. Loved his knitting comment.
-Loved, loved, loved the scene in the hallway of the hotel between Logan and Veronica. They’ve got such great chemistry.
-Happy to see V getting her edge back.
I know there is more, but I’ll have to watch it again to process the thoughts.
I didn't think the guy on the beach was the bus driver-- I thought they said they pulled all of those bodies
The guy they found on the beach is the same guy that V helped light the candle at the spot of the accident. This didn't hit me until I saw these caps on LJ:

Who was Logan sleeping with at the hotel? Based on the fact that the next scene showed Kendell with Mr. C- I don't think it was her!
Heather, earlier in the episode, either Dick or the Beav said that their parents were going to a fundraiser at the Neptune Grand. I believe the scene we saw was of them coming home. (And that she boinked Logan while at the fundraiser)
I liked the episode, DH watched part of it, because of Kevin Smith. He doesn't really like the show, but at least watched with me, which is progress.
I thought Kevin Smith was pretty hilarious.
So the guy she helped light a candle for was NOT the reporter Wallace was talking to? And I loved Wallace in this episode, looks like he's picked up a thing or two from our girl. I LOVED when he called her and said "What are you doing?" in a Veronica voice. HEE!

LOVED! LOVED! LOVED! last night episode- I was a little disappointed in the permiere- but this one more than made up for it. I agree that Duncan and V have NO chemistry. I really think it is because we haven't seen much of Duncan - and I'm sorry but Logan is just hot. That kid who plays him is smoken. I totally didn't get who the guy at the end was. I thought it was the reporter- and the TV Guide watercooler chick said that it was the bus driver From Tv guide: Why does the dead bus driver have Veronica's name written on his hand? I'm guessing it isn't as simple as she missed the bus and he was going to be courteous and inform her dad or something
So wow! Lots going on.

It was definitely Cordy (I mean Kendall) who answered the phone when Veronica called to see who was in the room. I don't think Veronica would know her though.
I had no idea who it was on the beach at the end. I assumed it was the bus driver, but couldn't understand why the ink wouldn't have come off unless it was written there after he washed up. Who writes things that big on their own hands?
It was cool to see Wallace solve a case on his own... and yes, I thought it could have been Veronica. Was that bad of me?

Any thoughts on last night's episode? I didn't get the Dick Casablancas Sr thing. Kendall was bribing the assessor and signing papers??? It didn't make sense to me. And why would he connect that a private detective exposing her affair with Logan notify the SEC?

There was a lot going on in last night's episode...kind of overloaded my brain. Initial thoughts:
-I'm still a bit confused on the Dick Sr thing, too. I'm sure if I re-watch the episode things will become clearer...that's how it usually works.
-WTH is up with Alicia and that guy that recognized her?
-Jackie annoys me to no end.
-The fight between Logan and Duncan has been a long time coming. I about choked when Logan made his "didn't plug her right the first time" comment. (DH was laughing, though, because he thinks they fight like girls, LOL).
-And, damn, I repeat, DAMN, the chemistry between LoVe was awesome yet again. (Hence my new avatar ;) )

From TWOP (http://www.televisionwithoutpity.com):
(kinda helped me understand the Casablancas thing)
A far stronger effort tonight than we've seen so far this season. Feeling the advent of college-application time, Veronica joins the Future Business Leaders of America, visited by one Big Dick Casablancas. The club affords Beaver the chance to talk to Veronica about how Charisma is using his dad, and he pays her a grand to catch Charisma violating her prenup. Before Veronica can get to that, though, she gets hauled in to the sheriff's station, where she learns about the dead guy with her name on his palm. Turns out he was a biker, an ex-con, and a former stuntman. Veronica visits the bike shop where the dude worked, and discovers that he was tight with Haaron. Not only is this creepy, but it might be signaling Harry Hamlin's return, which would be, and apologies in advance, killer. But first, the smaller stuff. Keith tells Alicia (yay!) about the whole running-for-sheriff thing, and offers to take her away to Chicago for a book-signing. Veronica wonders if Keith is going to pop the question, which she is sincerely and happily in favor of, but he denies it. In Chicago, Alicia asks if Keith really wants to go back to being sheriff, and the answer is a definite yes. But it turns out Alicia has a secret that may get her in trouble with the law, and we're not just talking about Keith. Whatever the secret is, someone involved with it is in Neptune by the episode's end. Meanwhile, Duncan and Logan have it out, albeit briefly, and the confrontation is suitably bitter, even though it has nothing to do with Veronica. It's also well-acted on both sides, which is highly encouraging. Meanwhile, Veronica tries to make nice with Jackie for Wallace's sake, but she's more jealous of Wallace's new interest than even she realizes. Jackie's calmed down considerably, and seems really to be into Wallace. The threat is obvious, so Veronica is only too happy to see Jackie come into the Hut with another guy. But Jackie is playing it sweet and nice at school, so Veronica's in the unenviable bearer-of-bad-news position here. Lucky for her she has too much going on right now to deal with it. And that gets us to the main plots. Per Beaver's instructions, Veronica discovers that Charisma was poor white trash before marrying Big Dick. She follows the ex-Laker girl around for an afternoon, and catches her on film going into a cheap motel with some guy from the gym. She also catches Charisma in some tacky-assed clothes, but that's probably required by the prenup. The pictures aren't explicit enough for Beaver, though, so Veronica puts a camera in Charisma's iPod. Charisma is delightfully bitchy while completely not being Cordelia, by the way. Veronica discovers that Charisma isn't banging the gym guy -- she's helping Big Dick commit massive real-estate fraud. She is, however, still sleeping with Logan. Veronica confronts Logan about the affair, deducing that he's trying to get a jealous Big Dick to get rid of him. Big Dick, however, has the SEC on his tail, and he flees town in a helicopter, so Logan will have to find someone else to put him out of his stinking-rich misery. And finally, while at the Echolls house, Veronica comes to the disturbing conclusion that she was the target of the school-bus "accident." As if she didn't have enough survivor's guilt as it is. The show is back, you guys, and none too soon.
I, personally, loved the episoded :)

-I think the Dick Sr thing was that he was having Kendall bribe that guy, so by thinking that Beaver had her followed, they were going to find it out, maybe he only married Kendall as a business agreement and that she did that for him as part of it?
-I did not think the LoVe chemistry was as good as it usually is. Maybe I need to watch again. Of course, while I think Duncan is a cutie, there is nothing going on there with V. They look like little kids.
-If the bus was the big mystery of the season, wasn't it solved last night? Aaron Echolls paid Curly to tamper with the bus (no brakes like in the movie) because Veronica was on it and he wanted her to pay for turning him in. I guess we do not know who killed Curly, so is that the mystery?
-I did feel very sad for Logan when he said he hated his dad too and had tears in his eyes

What did you guys think? I liked last night's episode. My hubby guessed correctly that the guy chasing Alicia is Wallace's father. I'm not entirely sure how I feel about Veronica's reaction to Jackie. I don't know if it's just how Kristen Bell is portraying it, or what. It just seems to border more on the jealous side rather than protective/concerned.

I agree with you Tara-- of course :) Dan also called the guy chasing Alicia as Wallace's dad. I think the Jackie thing is a little bit of both-- which isn't surprising. I don't think she wants to "get" with Wallace... because he's practically her brother-- but it is normal for a teenage girl to react that way to another girl invading their relationship....
Not enough Logan in the episode-- but it was nice to see Weevil!

Hi Ladies-
Sorry I've been MIA. Between work, grad school and pregnancy, I'm lucky if I stay up past 9 pm any more!
But I did catch last night's episode! Just a few random thoughts:
Honestly, the new guy being Wallace's dad surprised me. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought Alicia said she was a widow. Assuming Wallace and Darrell are full brothers, then Wallace would have been around 10ish when his dad supposedly died, right? Wouldn't Wallace remember him?
I'm completely on board with V's reaction to Jackie. 1) She's partly jealous that she has to share Wallace and 2) she flat out dislikes the girl (for good reason!). I can't wait to see the blow out that we all know is coming between those two girls!
The Mystery of the Week was a little boring- but it did have a good tie in to V and Duncan. Although I really really wish she opened Meg's files. She is a stronger person then me, that's for sure!
I LMAO when Meg's sister came to the door and V made the comment about staying in the room like a hooker. :D
So, Duncan visits Meg every day? Odd, no?
I really really want to like V and Duncan together- I generally like Duncan a lot. But they are just so damn boring. There are no sparks there.
Hmmm..who could have called Weevil from Logan's house??
Did Weevil kill Curly or not? Not sure if it was revealed and I missed it.
Either way, I'm always happy to see Weevil!
Only Logan would throw a party after a bus went off a cliff.
Where were Dick and Beaver? Odd there was no mention of them this week.
Yeah for Mac!!! :D
Ok, that's all I got for now! Have a great night!

WOW! I thought last night's episode jam packed! This season is going in completely different direction than I expected-- which I'm loving!
I'm sad for Wallace...He's right, Veronica really hasn't been there for him...BUT he hasn't really let her be there either.
Loving that Duncan and Logan are on friendly terms again. It's such a guy thing to just be like "Ok- I'm over hating you".
I DID think that there was A LOT more Duncan/Veronica chemistry this week. Looks like Teddy Dunn is warming up a little :D
and finally, I hate Jackie. URGH.

Morning Ladies-
Well, last night rocked, didn't it!? :D Here are my thoughts:
V and Duncan had awesome chemistry last night- which was so nice to see! I really enjoyed seeing them as a couple.
Duncan and Logan making up in only a way guys can!? Too freaking cute for words.
My heart just breaks for poor Wallace. Kid has a lot on his plate- what with his father showing up, Mom lying to him, V not being there for him and Jackie giving him shit.
Speaking of Jackie- I dislike her more each and every time she's on screen. Telling the Pyschic about Lilly was just plain LOW. Grrrr But the boob cream? Kinda funny.
Well, Keith didn't have an easy time of it this week either, did he?
Last night I really really despised Lamb. Most of the time he makes me laugh- not last night. I wanted to kick him in the shins.
Jackie and Logan!? Say it ain't (nor will it ever be) so!!
Dog girl and Druggy nominating Veronica for Homecoming- loved it!
I hope maybe V stays friends with that Cory (??) girl- she seemed very sweet.
How does Jackie's dad having a gambling debt tie into everything?
Logan and Duncan watching V on TV? Can you say awkward?!
Why do I care that Jackie takes pills? So far, there is nothing redeeming about that character.
Percy Daggs nailed it as Wallace last night! I really hope his father isn't some crazy strange man.
Anyone know how long we're stuck in repeat hell? I can't wait to see what happens next!

I was wondering if any of you thought that WALLACE is going to be the one leaving the show. As we may know SPOILER HERE....
A major male character is leaving the show. Was that Wallace's exit? I sure hope not! And can I say that Jackie ranks up there with one of the worst people on tv, right up there with T-bag from Prison Break?
taragiraffe
10-27-2005, 03:46 PM
I don't expect it to be Wallace leaving the show. There's lots of speculation that it's Duncan, but I personally think it's Weevil, although I hope not. :(
Heather719
10-27-2005, 03:53 PM
According to Rob Thomas- none of the major characters are leaving the show. Some (like Weevil) are just playing smaller roles this season to make room for the expanded cast.
Here is a recent quote from TVGuide.com's Ask Ausiello (http://www.tvguide.com/news/askausiello/):
Question: What the hell?! I just read that a major character will be leaving Veronica Mars and some fans will not be happy. Any scoop? — Kim
Ausiello: First I'm hearing of it. When I spoke to Rob Thomas back in June (Ask Ausiello 6/22), he denied rumors that a principal cast member was getting cut. He did, however, acknowledge that "in order to make the budget work, a number of actors on the show lost a few episodes in their contracts." For example, Francis Capra (Weevil) will only appear in 12 episodes this season, down from 16 last year. I suppose one way to accommodate such a shortfall would be to send Weevil on vacation for a few months, but that's pure speculation. I'll let you know if I hear anything else.
That said, Rob has also stated that his team will be spreading false spoilers this season to throw fans off. So...that leaves us just as confused as when we started. ;)
Wrighty26
10-27-2005, 04:21 PM
I was thinking the same thinig about Wallace's exit last night. I've read from other reliable sources that the rumor is true and that we aren't not going to be happy (I think it was from Watch with Kristin on E!)... but who knows. It's all speculation...
LooLoo02
10-28-2005, 07:13 PM
I don't know- I can't think that Wallace is gone for good. I mean he is Veronica's only friend- and there is so much more to learn about his dad that we just found out about. I don't think he's gone for good. I'm hoping its Beever or his brother- I know they aren't major- but they are in the opening credits now so maybe it is just a spoiler or something having them in the credits. And yes- I hate Jackie!

I don't watch Veronica Mars, but my friend who's a big fan of the show told me that the cast is coming to Austin's Alamo Drafthouse which will be hosting a 22 episode marathon of the first season and the World Premier of episode 11 will be shown the next evening. The creator & cast will be there for Q & A for both shows.

Wow. What a fantastic episode! My thoughts, in no particular order:
-Loved how V teamed up with Clarence.
-I was LMAO when V put all the paintings on the wall of the hotel room to take the picture for Keith. That girl is entirely too smart. Classic. :D
-The whole Logan/Cliff interaction was great. Loved the banter between Cliff and V in that scene too, and how amused Logan was with it.
-Joss Whedon as the rental agent. Hee.
-Lamb is so eeeeevil, bringing Aaron in so that he was in the cell with Logan.
-Hmmm, Logan and Duncan are roomies. Interesting. Loved it when Veronica jumped on Logan thinking it was Duncan, though.
-The rat. Okay, so that’s what Dick smelled. From there, I’ve got so much going through my mind that I can’t even begin to wrap my brain around it. What are your thoughts?

11-10-2005, 07:15 AM
I agree, Tara- GREAT episode! My thoughts:
I miss Wallace a lot- but I sure as heck don't miss Jackie!
I can't believe that Keith lost! But I guess it only makes sense given the whole PI angle. ;)
How the heck can Logan be arrested again for Felix's murder? I thought he was already tried and found innocent. Anyone ever hear of Double Jeapody? The only thing I can think of was the first trial was a Grand Jury hearing to see if there was enough evidence to charge Logan with the crime.
Ok..it looked like in that last shot that there was a bomb taped to the bottom of the bus seat- but the seat was still intact, so it couldn't have been a real bomb. Interesting...
I *gasped* when Clarence walked into the hotel room- I thought V was done for. But I loved them working together. Clarence wiggs me out, but they did make a good team.
Poor Alicia- how many more dead bodies can we have this season??
The motel clerk cracked me up. "Knotty school girls" hee. :D
Weevil and his gang burned Logan's house? And then Logan bought Weevil's grandmother's house?! That is ballsy on lots of fronts.
Logan and Duncan living together? that's got drama written all over it.
I do love Cliff..he makes me laugh!
I knew Aaron was going to be in this episode, but I still said "Oh Shit" when he showed up on screen. And now he's claiming Duncan killed Lilly?! Give me a freaking break!
I'm still in shock over how nice V was to Able- she really is a marshmellow!
Anyhow..that's all I got for now! Hope everyone is doing well!

Posting my thoughts on this epi while they're still fresh in my head.
-Kendall. What a gold digger!!! Loved Logan's comebacks to her, though. Especially the "When the milk stops being fre, I stop drinking" line.
-I've got a tie for my favorite lines of the episode.
1) Keith: "I'm wondering if they'll sell Sheriff Lamb by the pound."
2) Veronica: "Yeah, it's just a really big bug."
-Dick was cracking me up...everything from his "Dude, my 21st birthday is goint to rock so hard" comment to the "Going Commando" t-shirt. He's such a spazz.
-Poor Beaver!!!
-Wow. The sex-ed teacher is psychotic.
-Duncan is EVIL!!! That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Ew.
-Lamb. Wow! 'Nuff said.
-And lastly...I still miss Wallace! :(
Next week looks sooooooo good!!! Can't wait.

There is definitely something going on at the Woodman's house that I'm sure will be revealed to us later...

I just don't trust him. I never have. The whole Meg thing just doesn't sit right with me; nor does the Kendall thing from last night. I think it all stems from the creepy having-sex-with-Veronica-when-you-thought-she-was-your-sister thing. ;) Ick. Just, ick.

Hi Ladies- Happy Thursday!
Here are my thoughts on last nights episode:
Ok- did Duncan sleep with Kendell? I think not, but you never know.
The fact that V would rather watch a movie then make out with Duncan doesn't bode well. DH kisses my neck, and I'm putty regardless of what I'm watching. ;)
Logan was in rare form last night- loved him! His "Bessie" comment to Kendall killed me. He was also very vunerable in the bathroom scene. Love how one minute I want to smack him and the next I want to hug him.
V wasn't kidding- all the parents in Neptune are crazy!
I kinda feel badly for Dick and Beav- their bio mother wasn't much of a prize.
The slumber party- that is my worst nightmare too! I'm surprised she lasted a long as she did there.
I always knew Meg's family was off- esp. after the Purity test episode last year.
Looks like Duncan and Meg may have been a hell of a lot closer then we originally knew. Is he still in love or just feeling guilty?
Just when I hate Lamb- her redeems himself. Love how none of the characters are just one-dimentional on this show.
It's time for Wallace to come back now.
Why no mention of Alicia or Able? Weird, no?
I think that's all I got today! Can't wait to see what next week brings!

Wow, no comments on this week's episode?
I love Logan. And Veronica does too. She was crying because she was worried about him!
However, he gave two different stories when interrogated about the bridge. 1) "I don't remember anything that happened." 2) "I didn't do anything."
If he doesn't remember, how does he know whether or not he did it?
I couldn't tell from Duncan's dreams about "saving" Meg whether there was something going on that he knew about while they were together (presumably with her crazy family) that he promised to save her from, or whether he feels the need to save her now that she's in a coma... because her sister said that the family would pull the plug on her if they knew what she had been up to... He needs to prevent them from doing that. So, with that said, what could possibly be in the letter (that was apparently previously unopened, even by Meg)? Or do you think that she would be in trouble with her parents for reporting them to Child Protective Services?

OK- wow to the alternate ending! I don't know which I like better... I guess the original. I think it can lead to some more drama!
Thoughts on the episode:
I missed the beginning so I have no idea why Veronica was trying to figure out why her mom was a "good person". I assume she was given dentention and had to file old records or something?
I love Alyson Hannigan. I wish that she didn't have her own TV show right now-- she plays SUCH a great bitch!
I'm intrigued that Logan and Weevil are teaming up. That should be fun to watch!
I don't think Duncan is evil, I actually don't think Duncan knew about any of this until last week (the letter). I do think that this is the end of Veronica and Duncan though.
I hadn't heard that Meg was pregnant-- but I was suspicious, especially after Duncan read the letter-- what else could be SO shocking?
Mac and Beav? SO CUTE!
Where the hell is Wallace? He needs to get back in town...NOW!!!
Heather719
12-01-2005, 07:07 AM
Ok..back with some coherent thoughts on My Mother, the Fiend
DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN IT- MAJOR SPOILERS
Going to start with the obvious. Meg is pregnant?!?!! Holy shit. Who is the father? My money is honestly on Meg's father. Duncan is the obvious candidate, but Meg's family is so screwed up, I wouldn't be surprised if it was Daddy Dearest. Add in the alternate ending, and I think that is the only reason Meg's mom did what she did.
I am glad they didn't go with the alternative ending only b/c Veronica doesn't not need more drama like that in her life now. There is already a lot going on this season.
The scene between Willow/Cordy (oopps...Treena/Kendall) had my LMAO. Even DH (who professes to "hate" the show) laughed during the whole thing.
Mac and the Beav were too freaking cute together.
I felt so bad for the lunch lady thinking Treena was dying. Glad V got to the bottom of that one. Treena redeemed herself in my eyes when she actually hugged her birth mom back and didn't freak b/c it wasn't Celeste.
Speaking of which, the throw down between V and Celeste was CLASSIC. I wish I had the balls to say stuff like that!
I really really want to like and trust Duncan b/c I liked and trusted him so much last year. But this year, I'm just not feeling it.
LOVED the Logan/Weevil fight. So glad those two are going to be kinda/sorta working together from here on out. But the fight- I laughed. It was exactly what those two needed- get out their frustrations, beat the living shit out of each other and hopefully move on to figure out who killed Felix.
That is all I got for now!
Spoiler for next week
Who do you think is going to die?? I'm *completely* spoiler free, so if you know please please please don't tell me!! I'm guessing Sheriff Lamb. I'd hate to see him go, but it would pave the way for Keith to be Sheriff. However, that's pretty obvious, so I don't think Rob will go that route.

Once again I agree with most of what Heather said (which is why I don't post very often :) ). But I did have one thing to add: Do you think Beav is setting Kendall up for some kind of fall/scandal with his new business? It seems odd to me that he would make her CEO. It should be interesting. And I loved that Mac was in the show even though she didn't have any scenes with V.

Just a couple of things:
-I *loved* the Trina/Kendall scene. "Rode hard, meet put away wet." LMAO.
-Clemmons is sneaky! I didn't even see that coming at the end, but my DH called it.
-Scarlett-I'm wondering the same thing! That's another theory my DH came up with. (Funny, for someone who teases me about watching this show so religiously, he's always right there with me!)

I read Tara's spoiler about the pregnancy last week and was going to deny it by saying, "The hospital staff would have noticed by now if it were true." Obviously, they do.
I'm confused by the alternate ending because obviously the next show has to match up with this one, and I just didn't understand why they had two different endings, but my friend suggested that they filmed both to get false spoilers out there... I dunno.

apoppy-The alternate ending went like this: (I'll put it in white just in case)
When Veronica is in Meg's room at the end of the show, she hides in the bathroom when she hears Meg's mom come in. Meg's mom turns up some music and tells her not to worry, everything will be all right and to rest. Then she says "I'll see you soon." She walks away and you hear the machine beeping. Veronica walks out of the bathroom and finds a pillow over Meg's head. She lifts the pillow off as the nurse comes in. Thinking it was Veronica, she calls security.

I love VMars! After the episode for this week, I quickly went online to view the alternate ending. Thanks for explaining the alternate ending taragiraffe because for some odd reason, I was not able to view the alternate ending very clearly so I couldn't tell who the lady was in the hospital room with Meg.

Quick thoughts on last night's ep...
WALLACE! Yes, I did scream it at the TV!
Did Meg's parents kill her? Maybe Duncan will leave with the baby!
Logan crying, awww.... Why couldn't Logan or Leo have saved ONE measly tape for the TRIAL?!? But wouldn't Aaron get convicted for trying to kill Veronica and Keith no matter what?
Isn't all that outside information not allowed as part of jury deliberation? But I still kinda liked it. "One Angry Veronica" Hee.
WALLACE! YAY!

Some of my thoughts:
-I thought the jury duty plot was boring. And I kept thinking the same thing as IUAlum about Veronica getting all that outside information.
-Shirtless Sheriff. Sure, he's a prick, but he's damn hot.
-Veronica's reaction to finding out that Duncan got Meg pregnant was a little...I don't know...less than I thought it would be. I mean, she flipped out last week at Celeste but upon finding out that her boyfriend is going to be a father, the conversation ends in "I know. I"m amazing."
-I knew it was Leo that stole the tapes. Telling Keith how bad the security was at the Sheriff's office? Dead giveaway. I did feel bad for him in the end, though...he's such a sweetie.
-Logan. Ugh. What the hell was he thinking, ruining the tapes??? Poor kid.
-WALLACE!!!!!! Yay!! I totally teared up when Veronica opened the door to him, even though I had a feeling it would be him. *sniffle* V's BFF is back!
-Sad to see Meg go. I had a feeling it would be her that died, though, after watching the alternate ending last week.

To Tara: I too noticed that Veronica was using outside information in order to make a decision in the jury episode. I kept yelling at the TV that as a jury member, she wasn't supposed to do that!! lol. And I thought that episode reminded me too much of the movie "12 Angry Men."
To Scarlett: That is a really good question that you have! I didn't even think about that one. Maybe everyone was too happy that Meg woke up and was in shock when they found out that she was pregnant? *shrugs*

I agree -what a great episode! I love the way that they showed us what was written on the fortune cookie. Does anyone know if this means that Duncan is out for the rest of this season's episodes? I heard rumors at the beginning of the year that a major character (not Meg) was only going to be on the show for 12 episodes...
Even though I prefer Logan and Veronica together - I was really sad when Duncan and Veronica parted ways. Poor Veronica!
At the same time-- way to pull one off on her dad (among others)!! She is a tricky one :D

Thank goodness this show is back! I can't believe we had to wait until Dec to see this!
All in all, great episode!! My thoughts:
I have never been a huge fan of D*ck- but I did love him this episode. He was very well used.
Weevil and Logan must have more scenes together- they are fabulous together.
"Hiho" made me giggle for the first five minutes.
I love how this episode pulled in a lot of the more minor players- Cliff, Kendall, Celeste, Vinnie, etc. Vinne especially cracked me up- he had some great lines in this episode.
I do wish in the previews that they hadn't shown Keith yelling at V that she played him- kinda gave away that there was more going on then meets the eye.
Loved seeing Lamb being put in his place, even if those the FBI agents did annoy the heck out of me.
Also loved watching Veronica play both Lamb and the FBI agents.
V and Duncan did a very believable breakup scene.
The whole story line with the baby did break my heart.
I'm still a little confused about the whole Felix murder thing. Now that Felix is found out to have been dating a Fitzpatrick, are we to believe that the Fitzpatrick's killed him and no one in Weevil's gang is double-crossing him?
The scene where Keith confronted V broke my heart a little- he looked so broken thinking about V going to prison.
And V listening to emo music and mopping- did that bring back high school memories!
Here are the things that I didn't like:
Are we supposed to believe that Celeste and Jake wouldn't move heaven and earth to keep their first born Kane heir in the family? Because I'm so not buying that.
So Duncan and the baby hid in the back of Lamb's car while he drove to Mexico? Exciting story line- yes? Practical and in any way realistic- no? As a soon-to-be mom, all I could keep thinking is "are you stupid?! You don't lock yourself in a trunk with a BABY!!"
The whole V and Duncan relationship is now left very open ended. Which is either going to make for some very interesting story lines or it's going to drag on forever as she's torn between her one true love and her new love. (Buffy, anyone?)
Random thing to note- anyone notice that the numbers on V's fortune are the same as Hurley's lottery numbers on Lost? Tricky, tricky! ;)
My complaints are minor and I really did like the episode! Can't wait to see what happens next week! :)

My baby was giving me a little grief last night, so I missed some things about Duncan's baby.
Namely: How did they get Vince on their side?

I agree with all the above - except that I think Vince took the baby over the border while Duncan hid in the back of the car. And I missed that the baby was named Lily. Love that! Since Duncan's dad is supposed to be the Bill Gates of their reality, how on earth would the Kane family sit by and let his baby go to Meg's family? It makes no sense.

I thought his episode was fantastic. I was cracking up when Lamb was trying to convince the FBI agents that Veronica would try to trick them. I was just reading someone's review of "Donut Run" on LJ and this particular point is something that I thought last night but had forgotten about.
"She thinks you're Veronica." Really? Like, seriously? The same Veronica who she probably saw a total of a few hours, between daddy dearest kidnapping her and going on the lam, is now imprinted as her mother figure for all eternity? Please.
So.Very.True. Anyone else think it was pretty cheesy?

Anyone else think it was pretty cheesy?
Yes.
I'm also a little conflicted about Duncan's vow of love then, now, always to V- when there were obviously a lot of signs pointing to him being more serious with Meg then we ever knew. Going to visit her every day before knowing she was pg (this works off the assumption he didn't know she was pg until he read that letter), his computer password, etc. I don't get it?
IUAlum

I think the computer password was planted as part of the ruse to get the FBI off his back.
I liked it, no time to organize my thoughts now, though.

The show is just better with Wallace in it.

Looks like Teddy Dunn (Duncan) is really gone from VM:
From Watch with Kristen at eonline:
Of course, after seeing this week's episode, it's probably apparent what I was talking about a few months back, when I said a main character was being written off the show halfway through the season, and many of you didn't believe me. Would it be rude to say neener-neener? Yeah, I guess it would. So, instead I'll say, "Told ya so!" Hee. And all kidding aside, I'm gonna miss the heck out of that Teddy Dunn. Such a sweetheart.

From TV guide. 2/6 - 2/12
Veronica Mars Ditches Duncan
In the January 25 episode of Veronica Mars, nice guy Duncan(Teddy Dunn) fled town with his baby - and he won't be coming back. "I didn't think the Duncan/Veronica/Logan triangle could last forever," explains executivve producer Rob Thomas. "Veronica's a high school senior and she's not getting married. To keep the show fresh, we need to get other guys in her life." Look for Veronica(Kristen Bell) to get a new beau later this season. But - sorry, fans - she's not going back to bad boy Logan(Jason Dohring). He meets a new girl, innocent sophomore Hannah, in this week's episode. Dohring got to stick around, say Thomas, because "he's really been a breakout star for us." And while Dunn is bummed about getting axed from the show, he's satisfied with the send-off. "I think it's important that Duncan rode into the sunset on a heroic note. It leaves things open-ended," he adds optimistically. "He's still out there in the cosmos somewhere."
Don't shoot the messenger.
Open-ended? Bah.

I was happy with a Wallace-centric episode for once. It's been awhile. I loved how they teamed up with Jackie and LOVED how Wallace treated her when she asked him if he was doing anything that weekend.
Oh, and V's reaction to Weevil and Logan teaming up? Classic. :)

Hi ladies-
Sorry to be MIA- I was traveling last week and didn't watch this week's episode until last night. What we did without TIVO, I'll never know. ;)
To top it off, I have a head cold, so forgive me if my thoughts on this week's episode are a littel fuzzy!
Felt so bad for Keith. First his daughter betrays his trust, then he finds out his hero threw a game.
But I did admire how Keith kept going at Terrance- guy thought all his secrets were safe, but Keith kept exposing them!
That said, i really don't think Terrance bombed the bus. My money is on Woody.
Do we know anything about Wallace's girlfriend? She is a cutie- but she kinda popped up from nowhere.
I cannot believe that the health teacher was allowed to talk to students that way. I wanted to smack her.
Never thought I'd say this- but I felt bad for Jackie. Really bad for her. But I do admire her for keeping her chin up and not taking shit from anyone.
I'm a little confused on the whole stolen money thing. I get that the teacher skimmed off the top (and I hope she gets canned)- but did Weevil steal the money with the intent to frame Thumper? Or did he stash the money in Thumpers locker after the questioning in Clemmon's office?
Speaking of Clemmon's- how freaking cool is that guy??
I didn't realize until reading it at TVGuide.com, but the girl that Logan picked up at the carnival ("Princess" ugh) is the daughter of the plastic surgeon that he and V are looking into. Makes me feel much better b/c seeing Logan be all the squishy with a girl kinda made my stomach turn. And what is that girl thinking?? With the rep Logan must have- I can't believe she isn't being more cautious.
I love seeing older, reoccuring characters- Mac, The Beav, Madison, Corney!
Speaking of Mac and the Beav- how freaking cute were they?? LOVE how they got back at Dick. That made me giggle all evening. :D
Hope everyone is doing well!

The teacher skimmed off the top (of everyone's money, not just V's).
Weevil stole V's money from the get go, but put some in Thumper's locker - after the questioning (remember V said she lied about that Nancy/phone number thing). Then he took the rest and bought himself that sweet car he was driving at the end of the episode.
I think that's right .

As a loyal fan, I do not accept this. I have been forced to watch a half season's worth of tepid, neutered love scenes between V and Duncan. Meanwhile, the writers have consistently and not-so-subtly implied that Logan is some sort of teenaged sexual wunderkind. I'm not saying that they should get back together as a couple again; he's not exactly great boyfriend material. But I'm gonna need to see them pick up where they left off at the pool house last season. ;)

TVGuide.com is full of VM stuff today! :)
1) Ask Ausilleo (http://www.tvguide.com/News/Ausiello/AskAusiello/?NRMODE=Published&NRNODEGUID=%7b33B054A7-E288-4C94-9F31-FD876A9E6437%7d&NRORIGINALURL=%2fnews%2fausiello%2f&NRCACHEHINT=Guest)is reporting that UPN is delaying the release of the remaining sweeps episodes until March. Evidently VM is getting it's lowest rating of the season now due to the lead-in show airing before it. So they are going to wait to air the new episodes until America's Next Top Model is back as the lead-in show.
So it looks like tonight's episode is a repeat.
AA also has a VM related question about a possible love interest for Veronica. Be warned- it's a definite spoiler for an upcoming episode.
2) Ausiello also posted his photo diary (http://online.tvguide.com/special/ausiello/mars/) of when he visited the VM set. I haven't looked at the whole thing yet- I have no idea of there are spoilers there or not.
3) There is also an interview with Rob Thomas there today (http://www.tvguide.com/news/insider/). Nothing spoilerish at all.

Here is what UPN has to say about the VM hiatus.
Veronica Mars is facing a lot of competition in February, so to protect the series and to make sure that as many people as possible can watch the original episodes, we're going to air repeats for the next few weeks. The good news is that when Veronica returns some time in early March, we'll have nothing but original episodes through the season finale - so the goal here is, after this, no more repeats.
VERONICA MARS EPISODES
UPN - VERONICA MARS - "Rat Saw God," Wednesday, February 15 at 9:00PM - Rebroadcast
UPN - VERONICA MARS - "Nobody Puts Baby In A Corner," Wednesday, February 22 at 9:00PM - Rebroadcast
UPN - VERONICA MARS - "Ahoy, Mateys!," Wednesday, March 1 at 9:00PM - Rebroadcast

Yeah- a new episode!! :D Here are my thoughts:
Never thought I'd say this, but I love the Jackie/Veronica bonding.
Dick had *the* best line of the night: "You're like rich dude kryptonite Veronica."
The whole subplot of the kids being outted was ok- nothing special. Especially when you can't really hate the villian b/c she was so darn peppy.
I'm kinda bummed we didn't at least see Wallace this episode.
I *hate* seeing Logan with someone new- and I hate how Logan's love life is getting so much screen time. If we're going to see Logan, please have him 1) snarking with Veronica or 2) making out with Veronica. Or Weevil- they can share scenes too (although I don't want to see them makeout). ;)
Hannah reminds me of Meg from "American Dreams." She's cute and all but I'm not really warmning up to her yet.
I can't figure out if Logan is really into Hannah or using her. Thoughts?
I'm still not buying that Terrance is killer. My money is still on Woody- Jackie did say he owned that hanger.
Out of all the cars they could have picked, V and Jackie used that car?! Good lord...ladies, next time, pick the sports car.
My most favorite scene of the night was the one in Lamb's office. "Please let it be the new Big & Rich" line had me rolling!
Ok..that's all I can think of for now! Can't wait to see what you all thought!

I was ROTF when Deputy Sacks pulled up to that kid taped to the lamp post.
So happy to see some of my favorite characters in this epidode...Corny, Mac, Dick, Lamb. Totally missed Wallace, though.
LOVED Logan's talk with the doctor. That kid's got balls.
The whole Veronica/Dick interaction kind of baffled me. I like it much better when they're at each other's throats. I just wasn't feeling their snarkiness last night.
I totally think that Logan planted those drugs in Hannah's bathroom.

I love love love this show.
Last week's episode was pretty good, but the whole outing plot was a bit bizarre. Are teens still THAT closetted that they'd get blackmailed for being gay? In Southern Cali?
Hannah is BORING - and my husband thinks she looks too much like Veronica to keep straight. He's always like "whoa, Logan's kissing Veronica again?"
I have thought Wally was the killer all along, and it being his hanger sealed it for me.
New Episode Tonight!

Good episode last night!
Seriously, Logan's got the best. lines. ever.
"I'm confused. You're talking and your clothes are on."
"Please, let the lying cokehead plastic surgeon lecture me about karma."
Dick is such an ass. When he and Logan were watching that clip on TV and Logan told him to change it and his response was "Don't you wanna see how it ends?"
Jane is absolutely adorable. Wonder if Wallace will stay with her.
Aaron and Kendall...I'm intrigued. What did Kendall put in Logan's shower?
LOL, Vinny is just hysterical.

Another great episode! My thought, in no particular order:
So many familiar faces- Cliff, Kendell, Aaron, Beaver, the Econ teacher, Dick and, my favorite, Vinnie!
I *adored* the scene between Kendell and Aaron. So over the top (his Hannibal was both hysterical and so creepy!) and campy!
Can anyone clue me in on what Kendall and the Beav are up to? I can't remember for the life of me.
Last nights big discussion on incorporating Neptune made me all the more sure that Woody is our killer. We all know he wants Neptune incorporated and there is nothing like making people afraid to get them to vote with you.
However, why the heck was Terrance breaking into the dead teacher's parents house. He's not doing himself any favors!
Glad we got to see Wallace's girlfriend, Jane, more. I like her!
Poor, poor deluded Hannah. She is too cute- but way too trusting.
That Jason Dohring is damn good at making you both loathe and want to cuddle Logan at the same time! While I feel bad for Hannah and don't like how Logan is using her- I think Logan is starting to feel pretty darn guilty b/c she is such a nice girl.
What in the world was Kendell up to in Duncan's bathroom??? My guess is that she's in cahoots with Aaron now to try to pin Lily's murder on Duncan.
My most favorite line of the night was from Cliff- "To help you plan out your wardrobe better, I'll be wearing the "I'm with Stupid" shirt." heeheehee
Vinnie is such a sleaze ball, but he's such a fun sleaze ball! He cracks me up each time he's on the screen!
Ok..that's all I got for now! Can't wait to see what next week brings!

I was confused about this too. Was she getting a hair sample from the drain?

Anyone seen this? (http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/article/ds30798.html) The show is apparently getting a new timeslot.

Hmmmm.... interesting about the time change! I wonder if they are switching it to test out the demographic? The rumor is that when the CW premieres in the fall VM will follow Gilmore Girls (Tuesday night @ 8).
Tara - Yes-- I believe that was a hair sample that Kendall pulled from Logan's drain. Wonder what THAT's all about!

Wasn't Kendall in Duncan's room? It showed her walking by a table with 3 framed pics of Duncan and V- so I assumed she went into his bathroom, not Logans?
Wrighty- I like the rumor you heard! :D

Just wanted to post that I read on tvguide.com that as of April 11th, Veronica Mars is moving to Tuesday nights at 9pm Eastern. They are apparently doing sort of a test run for the CW lineup next year by having it follow Gilmore Girls, even though they are currently on separate networks.

You beat me to it, Jaime- I was just going to post the same thing! :) Sounds like this could be a very good move- I guess we just have to wait and see!
Gotta love pregnancy brain
Wish I could tell you it go better the further you get along in your pregnancy, but it doesn't. ;)

Couple days late, but I LOVED this episode. I'm not awake enought to write out many coherent thoughts, but:
Cliff and Keith had me LMAO.
It was nice to see Troy again...I liked him with Veronica in Season 1.
My favorite quote was "He dissed Pride and Prejudice, so I dumped my beer on him." LOL
Hannah's gone...I'm kinda happy about that. She was too squeaky clean for Logan

Good episode this week. Not a lot of development for the season mystery, but do I sense a set up for next year's mystery? The Hurst campus rapes were not solved in this episode. I haven't seen any spoilers, but I'm pretty sure V will end up going to Hurst next year.

I was finally able to watch this episode this weekend. :) It was 2 days ago, so my comments/thoughts are going to be brief:
Also loved Keith and Cliff.
"Dad, your hooker is here" had me LMAO.
I'm glad Wallace got into his choice school and I would bet money V goes there too.
The points system was too skeavy to believe. How freaking gross.
I'm not really buying Troy's act- he was too smarmy and not sincere enough.
How the hell does one get their daughter into boarding school in Vermont, then get said daughter to VT, all within 24 hours?
Who was that guy that V pointed out at the demolition site? A Fitzpatrick? That part lost me.
Lamb and Madison?!?! The campaign poster Cliff/Keith showed him was hysterical!!
My biggest complaint right now is with Logan. For the love of god, give that boy a story line! A quasi-romance with Hannah isn't cutting it for me. Now that the case against him is dropped, what is he going to do? Jason Dohring is good actor and he has fabulous chemistry with both V and Weevil- so let's explore that, please! Right now he's just window dressing and that upsets me.
Hope everyone is doing well!

That would be Danny, the guy who led Veronica into the River Stix in the episode where Logan saved her with the gun. (LOL, I had to explain this to DH too and he just looked at me like I was a freak who had nothing better to do that obsess over VM. ;p )

Holy cow! I do believe last night's episode ranks right up there in my Top 5 of All Time!
My thoughts (including BIG SPOILERS if you didn't see Plan B last night):
Woody is plain old creepy. Period. When he felt up Logan's arms all I could do was go Ewwwwww...
And what's up the DVD? Obviously it wasn't taken by his gardner, so who was the video taken by and why? Glad Keith was smart enough to make copies.
How in the hell did Logan win the essay contest? We know the boy isn't dumb- but I don't think he's an academic all star either.
So glad Logan is getting more of a plot line now- he's so much fun when he's snarky and rude!
Heh- he took Lamb's parking spot. The next best thing to firing him, I suppose. ;)
Speaking of Lamb- he really is an @ss- but I so enjoy his interplay with Veronica!
Weevil is back!! And boy did he have some great scenes last night! Quiet, menacing Weevil is scary- but in your face, yelling at your Weevil is scarier.
Too bad I have a feeling that person in the van is going to come back to bite Weevil on the ass and he's going to get blamed for Thumper's "dissaperence."
Those Fitzpatricks Do Not mess around. They are crazy scary. I'm still in shock that Thumper was killed. My jaw was hanging open for like 20 mins after that scene.
What is up with The Beav?? Is he gay? Scared and inexperienced? I think he and Mac are adorable together- but, like Mac, I'd be asking some questions too after 4 months of dating.
I really really liked Jackie last night. The girl is trying to make a change and asking Charles to the dance was adorable and very sweet of her. I don't blame her for being pissed at Wallace.
Speaking of Wallace- that was the only thing I didn't like about last night's show. The Wallace we love isn't a jerk- and last night's Wallace was. Makes me sad.
Gia is So Annoying. I never liked her and last night's dance scene cemented that- although I was cracking up at her putting Logan on the spot like that.
LOVED the Veronica/Logan dance scene. Awkward, emotionally charged and way to close for both their comforts. While I do love them together, I really enjoy the sexual tension and anticipation!
So one of the two big mysteries of the season is wrapped up- we know who killed Felix and why. Now all the is left is the bus crash. I'll say it once, I'll say it a million times- my money is on Woody.
Can't wait to hearn what you all thought!

I loved last night's episode too!
How in the hell did Logan win the essay contest? We know the boy isn't dumb- but I don't think he's an academic all star either.
I think he copied a speach from Easy Rider. I thought it was a little silly that he would win with that (didn't the judges see that movie? it isn't exactly obscure!), but then again, I don't know that he intended to win anyway.
I think the Beav is gay.
Thank you Jackie for putting Wallace in his place. I am starting to warm to her character too.

The breakup scene with Beav and Mac was heartbreaking. At first I thought he was gay, but now I'm not so sure. I don't know what else his problem could be though.
The dance between V and Logan was electric! The have such great chemistry.
Too bad I have a feeling that person in the van is going to come back to bite Weevil on the ass and he's going to get blamed for Thumper's "dissaperence." Me too.
I too am starting to think Woody is responsible for the bus crash. I just haven't figured out why.

I too am starting to think Woody is responsible for the bus crash. I just haven't figured out why.
Do you think he was willing to kill all those poor kids just for the profit motive? The bus crash was a major catalyst for splitting Neptune even more sharply into the rich & poor sides of town. If he can push through the incorporation, he'll be in a position to make some big money, and gain substantial power. I would totally expect him to have something going on in the background like that.
Just an idea?

LOVED last nights episode. I heart Logan and Veronica together. It's so wrong, but so right!
I was SO annoyed at Wallace. Poor Jane-- she really didn't deserve that. Though, I totally expected it to happen. I'm glad Jackie rejected him-- he deserved it!
Poor Mac! She just wants a little lovin'... I don't think the Beav is gay-- but who knows.
I feel like Woody causing the bus crash is WAY too simple. I do think he's linked in somehow--but isn't necessarily the mastermind behind all of it. I'll definitely be disappointed if there isn't more of a twist!
Can't wait till next TUESDAY (don't forget!)!!!

Did anyone else feel like that was the most confusing episode ever?
I still love this show-- but they are really bouncing around with the storyline this year. I'm glad I recorded it-- I'm going to have to watch it again to catch everything!!!
It did bring up some interesting points:
*Why WAS the gay kid on the field trip (was that ever explained?)
*Did Dick/Beav's dad buy life insurance or was it really Kendall?
*Why was Weevil at that gas station (which I've wondered since the first episode)
*Why does that rich chick need the Kane scholarship? (nothing to do with the mystery--just bothersome!)
*What's the connection between the trashy girl's settlement, the finger in the food, Woody Goodman, and the bus crash?
*What was the point of them introducing *Lucky* ?
Things I loved:
*Wallace and Logan FINALLY having some scenes together. I thought it was cute that even Wallace was won over by Logan in the end!
*Seeing Meg again---even if it was totally weird! (loved her shirt too-- hee)
*The interaction between Logan and Veronica -- and flashback scenes of them making out-- ahhh the memories!
*How the writers CONTINUE to fly under the censor radar (One statement that comes to mind from last night--something to the extent of "Just because you move one little finger doesn't mean Dick's gonna come.") (How many times have they flashed the "Shocker" symbol this season-- that's pretty explicit!)
I'm sure that there will be more after I watch the show again!

Did anyone else feel like that was the most confusing episode ever?
YES! I was coming here to post that same thing. Not sure if it's my cold addled brain or what, but I just didn't get anything that was going on last night.
Thoughts:
Are we now supposed to think that Weevil crashed the bus? Or Dick Casablancas? Or this Lucky guy?
Loved how V gave each of the dead kids t-shirts so she could tell them apart.
Why was V spilling her guts to the school counselor?
Dick is such a jerk..but he does make me laugh. ;)
Loved that Logan and Wallace got to be kinda-buds. But I don't get it- how would their project help V?
So glad to see the snotting rich girl get hers in the end.
I guess I'm just not sure where we go from here? Instead of moving the story along (like last week), I feel like we just got more bogged down with other theories!

But I don't get it- how would their project help V?
Because, if they won the competition (not the rich witch), she would have to take the hard final. If she didn't pass the final, or at least get a good grade, there would be a chance to move V up to the top of the class, thus getting her the Cain Scholarship.
Hope that makes sense:).

I actually liked this episode and found it to be helpful in reminding me who all the characters are & how some of these stories fit together. This show has so many characters that I get confused! :o
*How the writers CONTINUE to fly under the censor radar
No kidding! How about Logan's comment: "Have you met my fluffer?"
Why WAS the gay kid on the field trip (was that ever explained?)
I don't think this was explained, nor was it explained why whatshername wants the Cain scholarship--for prestige maybe?

I think she just wants to be valedictorian. She doesn't seem to care either way about the money.
Loved this episode, but I admit it was confusing. I used to think Woody was the killer/bus crasher, but now I'm not so sure. My suspect list is growing to include:
Weevil
Beaver - nice yes, but troubled.
Lucky - only because we know nothing about him.
Aaron Eckolls - just for kicks!
And many more.
