Does anyone wear Old Navy Plus sizes? I'm wondering how true to fit they are.

Ooo, glad you posted this, I was also wondering!

I find that OLD Navy tends to run on the larger side for 0-14, so I'd imagine it would run larger for plus sizes too.

Their pants are cut a little big. Which means the Old Navy size 14 pants I bought Saturday are the first pair of 14's I've bought since college (I recently lost about 30 pounds)! Their tops, it seems to depend. I can't buy anything button down (from Old Navy or anywhere else), even in their XXL size. But for t-shirts, tank tops and such, they seem to run about average for sizing.

I've always found Old Navy to be way off from other brands. I've worn a really wide range of sizes over the past few years due to meds I'm on--from a low of size 2 to a high of size 14--and they are always two or three sizes different from the rest of my wardrobe.

I placed several huge orders early this year, and tried a bunch of jeans, pants, shirts and a couple jackets. I'm sure my local ON wasn't very happy with me, because I ordered several sizes of each item and just returned what didn't fit. But, what else can you do when I can't buy them and try them on?

I thought that their pants/jeans ran a bit small, compared to what I usually wear from Lane Bryant. I also didn't like how low the rise was. I know this is fashionable, and I'm not saying that I want my pants up to my boobs, but I just can't imagine that I'm the only woman size 20 and up who looks like hell with very very low risers. I ended up ordering pants in a size bigger and found they fit well, but I still didn't like the rise on me. This was before I lost some weight, and I *think* I ordered 24s and 26s.

I bought a bunch of v-neck long-sleeve t-shirts, and they fit well, nice length and good neckline shape. I could wear them untucked (not sloppy/untucked, more like falling just below my waist and fitted), and they were close to my body, but not clingy.

I bought another top, that was satin and sleeveless. It didn't fit me well, but it is what I expected for my body shape and was probably true-to-size.

I bought a long trench-coat like item, the 1X was way too tight, the 3X was too big and the 2X was just "ok". I thought the sleeves were pretty tight, but it was a good fit elsewhere.

HTH!

Just thought I'd mention that ON plus isn't size 14, size 16 is the smallest they sell in plus. IIRC, XXL is regular sizing too. Plus sizes are 1X, 2X and 3X. Also, from what I have read about their plus department, the plus sizes are shaped differently from regular sizes. So, it's possible that comments about non-plus sizes aren't going to help out with plus-sized buying.

True enough, I was just excited to buy a size 14, any size 14!!
But as far as their pants, I hadn't noticed the larger sizes being labelled differently- is Old Navy Plus actually a seperate thing they're doing now, rather than just running their regular stuff to larger sizes? Since I only shop their clearance racks, it's possible I just haven't seen this yet.

I think so... I mean, they may have the same styles, but have been reworked for plus-size figures. I don't think there is as much available, but there is a pretty good selection. At least, that is what I remember reading about, then they came out with it. In terms of sizes, it's 16-26, and 1X-3X. I buy online, because my local store doesn't carry plus sizes... some stores do, just not that many. Their website is closed at the moment, I was just going to see if I could find their little plus-size clothing article.

The plus size line is only in select stores. The closest one to me is 3 hours away! So that [retty much forces you to have to buy online. Boo!
