Okay, a lot of you know me, and my style likes/dislikes. Is this a game I would like or would I find it repulsive?? I don't want to debate, but someone suggested I pick it up, but well, I don't want to buy it and be totally shocked by it, if you know what I mean. So help me out here ladies!

I think that from what I know of you (which is limited, mind you), overall you might like the psychology of it (what I like), but I think you might find some of the game offensive or undesirable. A large part of the game is helping your Sims attain their wants/desires, which can include the desire to "woo hoo" (their name for it :D ) outside of marriage. I had one Sim who wanted to woo hoo with 4 guys! Of course, you may be able to get around this by being more selective in which characters you play. Sims do like to drink and dance and have a good time, so it is all whether or not you would mind that. Of course, you don't have to help them fulfill their desires, but they won't be so happy.

Does that sound like something you would find fun or not so much?

If you pick their life aspiration to be Family, then their big wants are to fall in love, get engaged, get married, have a baby (and eventually probably a grandchild) and the "woohoo"ing outside of marriage is minimal to non-existant.

Good point, Renee. Also, I've only played with characters that the program came with. I have never created my own characters, so you have a lot more control over their aspirations.

ysolde - Sims is a computer game where you are essentially playing with various characters. Kind of like playing Barbies, I guess. :D Someone else can probably explain it better.
