hawaii beach rental homes?

i don't suppose anyone would have any recommendations for sites (ideally with photos) of hawaii beach rental homes? we're starting to research options for a 1-week vacation in 2006 with a few friends. the interweb is saturated with options and i'm trawling through everything, but in parallel with that i'm wondering if anyone here has suggestions from experience or has researched this before.

ideally, we'd prefer kauai, but we're not too picky. thanks!

I have a great one! They are a rental company who rent condos and vacation homes on Kauai. Their website is:

We stayed at their Poipu Kai resort for our honeymoon this summer and it was awesome! Their prices were much better than the other companies who also rent out property at the same resort. It was right on the water and unbelievably relaxing and homey.

hi jenni, thanks so much for responding! i'm definitely going to investigate this and share with my friends... it looks like of all the resorts they have, poipu kai is the best one for our needs and the size of our party. it really helps to get such a glowing recommendation.

bloomwood... this place looks truly amazing. you must have had an amazing time! thanks so much for passing along this info, and for your trip report which i've devoured. i've contacted the guy, thomas, for more info. your DH is a rock star for arranging this! he's right... there are a ton of "competing" sites and they all have different options.
