I just recently planted some tomato, basil, and pepper plants, and have noticed that some little pests are getting at them. I have a spray that works on tomatoes, but does anyone know of a good one for basil and peppers? A homemade one is good too. TIA.

for my cherries I used Surround, but I don't know about basil or tomatoes. maybe try Organic Gardening (http://www.organicgardening.com/feature/0,7518,s1-2-10-238,00.html)

Try looking on gardensalive.com. They sell all organic gardening "stuff," including pesticides, anti-fungal stuff etc. Their products are GREAT.

Thanks for the site link Elenitsa, I'll check it out.

Actually fuzzy I was just there and sent an e-mail to customer service asking which product they recommended. Do you use any of their pesticides? If so, which ones have worked best for you?

Oh, gosh, JamBray...I'm not going to be very helpful! I usually do one of two things: 1) look at the GA cataloge and find my "problem" and their suggested solution or 2) ask my husband, who is a gardening nut. And he'd tell you he needs a full description of the bug before he can recommend a product. Soooooooooooo, I think the GA customer service department was the way to go!

I always ordered a powdered rotenone from Gardensalive.com but they don't sell it any more. Some of the nurseries in my area have started carrying organic products so i've been trying them. The first thing i bought was Pharm (i think that's the co name, i'll have to look) insecticidal soap. That ended up burning the crap out of my leaves. I just bought some Safer insecticidal soap but haven't used it yet. I'll let you know how that works after this weekend!

Well I e-mailed GA last week, but haven't heard anything back. Oh well. My mom, however, told me about a product that she heard about on the radio called anti-pesto (:D ). I checked it out, and it apparently works on all *kinds* of bugs, so I placed an order yesterday. Hopefully it will work.

Did you use the Safer soap yet Megan? If so, how did it work?

Thanks for your suggestions girls. :)
