My grandma remarried this year, and my DH and I are thinking of getting them a Christmas tree ornament to commemorate their wedding. I've found three contenders, and we're having trouble deciding.

Option 1: Gorham 2005 "Our First Christmas" Ornament (http://www.dillards.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=301&storeId=301&langId=-1&productId=500797938)
http://www.dillards.com/images/product/hxo330_fi.jpg
The back of this ornament may be engravable -- if so, we would have it engraved with their names and "2005".

Option 2: Reed & Barton Holly Heart Picture Frame Ornament (http://www.ashford.com/product/index.asp?pg=2&N=143%2B112%2B175&pf_id=40776&Ns=PriorityAsh)
http://image7.ashford.com/is/image/S7/40776?$ash_big$
We would insert a wedding picture into the frame and have the back engraved with their names, "Our First Christmas" and "2005".

Option 3: Lenox Personalized 2005 God Bless Our Home Ornament (http://www.lenox.com/cat/index.cfm?fuseaction=prod&cat=xmas&subcat=pers&pid=10487&kf=117)
http://s7ondemand1.scene7.com/is/image/Lenox/6405823_wHR?$md$
This one comes with their last name and "2005", but doesn't say "Our First Christmas".

Which one do you like best?

If you have other suggestions, please feel free to post them!

I say definitely #2 - it'd be so much more personal! Plus, the heart shape is great to commemorate a wedding.

I think #1 is the prettiest.

I like #1 the best. Very pretty and will look nice no matter what color scheme they have on their tree!

I'm voting for #2 although I like both 1 & 2. The second one can be in use all year long e.g. hanging on a hook or knob. I have my neice's silver photo ornament hanging on the edge of an 8X10 frame. On the other hand, things may be more precious if only seen once a year. Good finds. I'm sure she will enjoy any one that you choose.

I got this one from Lenox (http://www.lenox.com/cat/index.cfm?fuseaction=prod&cat=xmas&subcat=orn&flt=ann&pid=11295&kf=117) last year:

We didn't even have a tree; I just hung it from the light fixture in our dining room. :o I looked everywhere for an 'engagement' ornament but couldn't find one. I think this year I'll buy a Bride & Groom ornament ... so this will be a fun thread for me too!

Thanks for the responses. I'm leaning toward #1, since that's my DH's favorite.

MrsHill, I really liked the Lenox bride & groom ornaments (especially this one (http://www.lenox.com/cat/index.cfm?fuseaction=prod&cat=&pid=6240&kf=117), but also this one (http://www.lenox.com/cat/index.cfm?fuseaction=prod&cat=&pid=15334&kf=117)), but not for my Grandma! I did consider the Hallmark one (http://www.hallmark.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10051&storeId=10001&partNumber=QXG4415_DK&rank=P2R2S), but it's too mod for her too.

I wish we'd gotten an "Our First Christmas" ornament, so I hope you find one you like!

My sister is getting married this Christmas. For her wedding shower I made her a tree skirt, stockings and got her & her FH this ornament off of ebay. I loved working with the seller.

I had it personalized with their first names and instead of "First Christmas together" I had them put "Just Married"

Of the ones you have, I like the #2 the best! Good luck.
