Quilting Advice

I would like to make a quilt for my hubby as a Christmas present. Can anyone tell me what are some basic things that I will need to get started? I have a sewing machine, and know how to sew well, but I don't have any of the other "stuff" I might need!

Any advice would be appreciated :D

Not sure whether either of those sites mentions this, but with quilting, try to get fabrics and thread that are 100% cotton. :)
