Seeing What Happens
09-27-2005, 08:38 PM
WHO ARE WE ???
A group of CC ladies who are Trying To Concieve(TTC) without temping(taking your temperature before rising out of bed every morning), and "charting" these temperatures on a grid. This group of ladies are just "Seeing What Happens". We do keep track of what Cycle Day(CD)we are on and perhaps note any changes in our body. We would love to hear about what you are going through. We understand the trials, tribulations and many doctor appointments that you are facing on this journey into parenthood. No question is too "stupid", asked too often, nor is any "vent" that you may have unnecessary.

This thread may move quickly at times, but don't be afraid to jump in on the last page. You don't have to read through the entire thread before you join us. The first few posts on page one are some introductory info to help everyone out as well as provide many useful links to other sites with in depth information on certain topics. A link to the new thread is always posted at the end of the current thread to help everyone find their way over to the most recent "Seeing What happens" thread. This thread starts at the beginning of each new month.

WANNA JOIN US ?

Just introduce yourself and post your statistics so we can get to know you a little better and add you to the list of "Our Family " members which is shown in the second post on the first page. Please post these intro stats in red so that you won't be missed. Wanna lurk and ask questions? Just post away....

Thanks for the new thread!

I'm just waiting. AF is supposed to arrive tomorrow, but I have no cramps or anything. I haven't tested yet because I'm confident our timing was no good and after my yearly chat with my GYN I'm pretty confident I'm not O'ing regularly. Basically, my cycle is 35 days with a very light, short AF or just spotting so that's her thought right now. We will try OPK's for the next 3-4 months and I will go back for Clomid if I don't get a + OPK.

I'm sorry LDS Angel 19.

Well, it is a new month and almost the end of my cycle. I am on CD 24. I am guess my cycles will run 28-30 days. So by next week I should either have AF or be POAS.

I have felt very crampy in my stomach and my back today, along with tender nipples (stil) and fatigue. I have a very busy week coming up and I am praying that if AF comes it is not to harsh. Good luck to everyone!

Sorry about the BFN Dotsie.

CD36 for me - still no sign of AF. I'm thinking about testing. 2 weeks ago (a Friday night) I finally had EWCM about 7pm. Well, DH was working but I had him wake me at 7am when he came home so we could DTD. Who knows - maybe it worked?! I would be so surprised - we've barely BD all month cuz we've been sick.

Sorry, to hear that you got a BFN Dotsie.

I'm 3 DPO according to FF but since my last cycle was off we are going to continue to BD for a bit. So I guess I'm in my 2WW.

Good Luck to every one this month!

Just getting started on TTC! We have been waiting on TTC to see if we moved due to DH's job. But DH came downstairs this morning said he is tried of planning his life around his work and doesn't want to wait anymore. He wanted to wait and tell me this on my birthday but wanted to make sure I didn't start a new BCP pack. (He doesn't know much about BCP obviously!) So we have decided to just "go for it" and see what happens. I will get AF this Monday and then no more BCP for me! So here are our stats:

Sorry about the BFNs Dotie and LDS Angel.

Welcome Roberta! I hope your stay here is short and sweet.

CD14 for me. We're in the fun part of the cycle. Unfortunately, I don't think it'll result in anything. My body is being difficult this cycle. Usually around this time I have fertile CM, but this cycle my CM is being very scant and not fertile seeming. Very frustrating. I haven't done anything different this cycle. I started a B-complex last night, but that wouldn't make a difference so soon.

I hope everyone is having a fun weekend.

I almost feel guilty since we just started...
We bought a house in April, my DH is about to start working days (he is an RN and has worked nights since he graduated), and we are just READY... we also just found out Friday that our best friends just got a BFP, which I think has made DH think about it a lot more. Last month I was off BCP but we didn't time anything, and I think he didn't really hope we would get pg for a while, but things have changed ;) . Anyway, glad to be here! Good luck to everyone this month!

I just wanted to re-introduce myself since I joined right before the Sept. thread was locked. My name is Sara. My DH and I have decided that it is time to work on a baby brother or sister for my 20 mo. old DS. I am so excited!! Other than keeping track of which CD I am on, I really don't track much else. It worked for us last time, so I am hoping that will be the case this time around. We shall see, you never know what mother nature has in store for you.

Sorry about the BFN's for the other ladies! Lets hope that next month is it for you all!

Sitting here at CD 27, and just waiting for AF to show up. She is supposed to show on Wednesday, so we will just wait and see. I have some early AF signs, but I was expecting her this month anyway.

Hope to see some more BFP from all the other weekend testers!

As for me I am sitting on CD28 and waiting for AF to arrive. When I woke up this morning I felt like AF was on her way...I should know by either tomorrow or Wednesday. I was hoping that the first time would be the charm...I guess we will see.

CD 14 for me...frustrating thing is that DH worked 12 hrs. last night, 8 the night before and works 12 tonight, so he is a tired boy. Better be getting un-tired!
Thanks for all the welcomes...I don't feel so bad since I am not the only one that just started trying. I really admire the folks that go through this timing/waiting game every month. I feel like AF comes, I am wishing for CD 14, so that's 2 weeks I wish away, then we have a little fun, after that I want the 2WW to go by fast so I know if I am or not, 2 more weeks wished away. By the end of the month, I have waited and wished the whole time! I never really appreciated the 2WW, I mean it's ONLY 2 weeks! Now it seems to take FOREVER!!! Anyway, good luck to everyone! Will keep watching for more BFPs!

Congrats to our first BFP of the month!

I had AF show on Saturday so I am currently on CD 3. :( I hope this is our month, but I have a long time to wait.

Good luck to those that are testing or waiting for AF.

Looty - sorry about AF. I hope this month is it for you, so it'll be worth the wait!

Jess71903 - know what you mean about waiting and wishing. It's hard not looking forward to what might happen, but also at the same time, I don't want to spend all my time wishing my life away!

I forgot who was asking in the last thread, but I found the thread about CM that I referenced earlier. This is where I had read about carrots being good for CM: How to increase quality/quantity of CM? (http://www.constantchatter.com/showthread.php?t=6060)

I'm CD 15 now, and based on my past charts, I should be ovulating today or tomorrow. The weird thing is, last Tuesday (CD 10) I had EWCM. Not sure if that wasn't really a sign I O'd last week, or if the grapefruit juice and carrots have caused me to O early.

HOLY CWAP! I come to check in on this thread and what do I find? Y'all already know! What a weird feeling to see my name in the October BFP list. So I guess I'm telling people. hahahaha :)

Thanks for all the congrats. We are very lucky to get preggers so soon. I have an appointment with my ob/gyn on Wednesday. I think my DD is around 6.10.06 I'll keep you posted. Best of luck to all of you. And please keep me, Craig and Teeny in your thoughts/prayers/etc.

x-post from Charting thread

Well, girls...I was wrong about our chances this month. I took a test this morning and got a BFP!! I forgot to POAS when I got up at 6am and then went back to sleep and was so mad at myself. I held it until I was about to leave for work and in about 1 minute I had a glaring BFP. I'm just in shock today.

Sorry for the BFNs girls.

Congrats Sarah! H&H 9 months!

This made me soooo mad today when I read it - They have only been together 6 months & she is pregnant .... UGGGGGG NOT FAIR !!!!!!!! They are supposed to be planning a wedding not planning a baby shower

Tom and Katie Expecting!

October 5, 2005
Happy Hollywood couple TOM CRUISE and KATIE HOLMES are expecting their first child together, according to People magazine.

"Tom and Katie are very excited, and the entire family is very excited," a spokesperson told the mag.

The inseparable twosome have been dating since last April in a whirlwind romance.
(I did not want to bore you with the whole artical - it is on the entertainment tonight website - if you want to read the whole thing)

Ramona: I would say test but I know how hard it is seeing a BFN so wait a few more days & see if AF shows if not then test - Hopefully this will be our month.

Ok, ladies. I think I am on CD16- I haven't found any EWCM but that doesn't mean I didn't have any:confused: ...2 questions:
1. Whe do you go from acting like you're fertile to deciding your in the 2WW?
2. Is it possible to have regular 28 day cycles and not O? I kind of always thought that irregular cycles were a symptom of ovulation/fertility problems.

Thanks! Good luck to everyone!:p

10-06-2005, 08:24 AM
Hoping for a BFP this month. I used one of those OPK and BD'd during that time. I won't probably use one again. I don't want to be stressing every month, it's making it feel forced and less fun. I am going to sit back and try to wait patiently (for a while anyway).

Congrats to all the Graduates this month!

Elenna
10-06-2005, 09:44 AM
Jess: I'll try to answer you.
1)Usually you can tell when you're no longer fertile by your CM. It should dry up after O. For some women it nevers dry up, but it does change after O. Like the creamy CM doesn't have any stretch after O, etc.
2)You can still have a regular cycles and not O. I've seen plenty of annovulatory charts on FF that are normal length. But I think it isn't as common.

If you are worried about not catching your O, or that you're not Oing, you can try OPKs.

gina73

(Big breath in...big breath out...) Allow me to say hello and introduce myself! (Wow, I can't believe I'm doing this...)

WC Name: Tweety73
Me: Gina (32)
DH: Jon (35)
Married: November 8, 2003
TTC since: September 2005

DH and I just recently went on a trip abroad, and, being swept in the romantic atmosphere, decided to throw caution to the wind and try to make a souvenir of our very own. Now, this was about a week ago, and I think we've decided to hold of on trying again until we originally planned, which was sometime in January 2006

I think there's a very good chance we didn't time things correctly. My last cycle was TOTALLY out of whack (like 49 days long), so I have no idea when I O'ed or what my LP is (I've only JUST begun taking notice of that kind of thing). But who knows? I think we're both of the mindset of "If it happens, it happens." If we get pregnant, GREAT - we'll be excited and happy. If it doesn't happen, at least we had a fabulous time trying!

So, a couple of questions: Judging from my last cycle, I have no idea when I'm supposed to expect AF (my cycle previously was around 35 days or so), and I have no idea what my LP is because I haven't been very regular. If you were me, would just wait and see if AF arrives? (Instead of getting overexcited and taking an HPT in a couple of weeks?)

Second question: Since this phase of trying was totally spontaneous and unplanned, I wasn't taking the best care of myself. Meaning, I had coffee in the morning and some wine here and there on our trip. Since we've returned, I've been trying to wean myself off caffeine again. Do you usually just treat this time as IF you were already pregnant in terms of what you eat, drink and take for colds?

Thanks for letting me share my little secret, and I look forward to getting to know more!

graciebella
10-06-2005, 11:52 AM

I had heard a couple of weeks ago that Katie and Tom were to get married at Christmas since that is both of their fave holiday....

Oh BTW, Hi everyone.... yup still TTC ( have been since March 18 2003)... cross your fingers this is our cycle.... as we certainly cannot afford to move to IUI or IVF. Dh is self employed and we have no extra medical coverage ( for those who didn't know).

Ok off to work/update/reformat my resume to start firing out again. Plus I have to think about what to bring for dessert to SIL for Thanksgiving this weekend ( yup I am CANADIAN)

Yeah, I was pretty charged after hearing that TomKat is preggo already:mad: Then again it didn't take Britney long either. ::sigh::

So I'm on cd31 and no AF. Each time I feel a cramp I run to the restroom and check (sorry tmi) and nothing. So either mother nature is being cruel or I should really test. In previous experience, testing brings on AF so....

Welcome to all the newbies! Hope your stay is short.

Sparkles, good to see you. Was getting worried there for awhile not seeing you around. Enjoy your canadian Thanksgiving. ::crossing fingers::: for you!

Welcome Gina! I hope your TTC stay is short and sweet.
Some women act like they are pregnant while in the 2ww in regards to what they do and eat. Some don't. It really depends on your comfort level.

I really can't answer you on when you should test. If it were me I'd test roughly 3 weeks after the unprotected sex (One week for a fertile time around O and two weeks for the average LP).

Welcome to the new ladies and good luck to those waiting for their BFPs.

I'm so shocked that my heart rate hasn't slowed and I only slept for a hour last night. We told my mom last night (she lives down the street!) and are telling his parents tonight. I'm getting blood done tomorrow.

Thanks, Elena for answering my ?s. I guess if I did have EWCM I just missed it. We "covered" the potentially fertile days, so I guess now I just have to wait.

Another ?:
When deciding what CD you are on, do you count it as CD1 if you have some spotting? I had some spotting one day, it quit, then the next day was for real AF.... Guess it's not super important, but I was just wondering.

Wow, congrats Ramona!! :D

Jess71903 ~ You should count CD1 as the first day that you have red AF. If it's just pink spotting that doesn't officially count as the first day of your cycle. That is really considered residual spotting from your last cycle. I hope that helps. :)

As for me, I'm out for this month. AF isn't quite here yet but I'm spotting so I know she's going to show up today most likely. I'm disappointed but I think I'm okay with it. On to next month! Keep those BFP's coming ladies!

jnshanna -- Sorry about AF for you too. I know how you feel about being disappointed, but still being okay... i think that's a sign that we WILL be okay and less stressed, and hopefully that means good things will happen soon :)

I'm on CD 19... likely either 3-5 DPO. If AF shows, it'll probably be in 10 days, I don't think I'll be testing early at all this cycle. We'll see when the time comes!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Ok, So I tested for the first time an hour ago. I think I got a BFP!! One line was little faded but the package said the color of the lines don't have to match. The vertical line was super clear, but the horizantal line was faded.

But I'm not sure...I'll test again on Sunday if AF doesn't arrive. Today would normally be the day AF would arrive. I haven't had any symptoms (except the crabbiness) of AF. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

In the meantime, need to call and make a dr.'s app't for next week :)

Yay, I hope you get another BFP when you test next, ambam!! Maybe you should try a digital? I personally can't wait until I can buy a digital to see the word "pregnant". ;)

I hope you can hold out on testing Mayham (if that's what you're striving for). And your 2WW goes as fast as possible. I know for me it helps to not test. I tested twice this month but that was because I'm pretty sure I had my O date wrong so I thought AF was already due. It really sucked to see those BFN's.

Dan's*Girl
10-07-2005, 01:53 PM

Dan's girl....Congrats to you too! A happy and healthy 9 months!

As for me...I am cd 15 and still waiting to O. Saw the fertility doc for the second time this week. I now have a mature follicle but my uterine lining is still too thin. So, no trigger shot for me. I go back on Sunday. If my lining is thicker and IF I haven't O'd, then I can trigger and then begin the progesterone supps a few days later. If this cycle doesn't work...I will need either Estrace or Viagra (tee hee) to boost the lining, followed by trigger shot and progesterone. Makes my head spin just thinking about all that!

Just letting everyone know I am back on CD1. I am officially a "charter" now. I am going to chart for the next two months. If this gives me a good idea of when I O and all that fun stuff I will stop charting and just SWH. If my cycles are screwy I will keep charting, but hopefully that won't happen.

Good luck to everyone who is waiting to O, in the 2WW, or anywhere else with their cycle!

I used to be regular till we started TTC, I had three months of 28 day cycles before we started TTC. Not sure when I O'd since the signs were just not there and the OPK must have been wrong.

I took another hpt and got a positive again. I'm scared to believe it. I just don't want to be disappointed if it turns out false. I will be calling the Dr. tommarow and hopefully will be able to get in to see him soon!

I've been keeping track of my cycles for a long time. Every cycle I had this year has been 28 days(one time it was 29). But I did have a strange one between July and Aug. it was 34 days and I swore I was pregnant. But I never tested and AF did show up 6 days late. I'm really hoping that is not the case this time. *sigh*

I will be heading out to Walgreens this afternoon to buy a digital test.

You're killin me here! You are PREGNANT girl!! Congrats! Let yourself get excited! I knew of a girl who got 2+ tests and called her Dr. She told the nurse that she had gotten 2 + tests but she didn't think she was preggo. The nurse laughed at her and told her that she WAS preggo and didn't need the Dr. to tell her that! False negatives are possible, false + are not(or are at the very least EXTREMELY rare)...if you don't have the "pregnancy hormone" the test won't be +....

You probably know all of that intellectually...I understand not wanting to be disappointed again, but it's your turn! Get excited!!!!

Welcome to Bellefior. I hope SWH works for you!

I am currently on CD 9. We have begun the bd'ing. I am not going to stress over bd'ing every day this month (not that I did too much last month). I am going to just try to chill. When both DH and I know it is my fertile time one of us initiates about every day though. So we'll see. I'm on CD5 now, AF came 2 days early (CD 26). Same time as last month, I guess I'm just adjusting to being off OCP's. I was unsure about if I really wanted to be pregnant yet when we started TTC'ing 2 months ago, but I was disappointed to see AF this time.

Welcome Delaney21! :)

jbemommy ~ Isn't it funny how it evolves? I've always wanted to be pg but at first I was so much more nonchalant about the whole thing and wasn't too worried when AF showed up but now it so disappointing!

How'd the test go, Ashley? I can't wait till we can add one more graduate to our list for the month!

CD 21 or 22 for me (I think). I forgot to write down when I started, but I think I remember. This waiting is about to kill me! I didn't think it was going to be this hard! I was planning on waiting until Oct 18 or 19 to test IF AF doesn't show. I don't know if I will last, though. My DH will be out of town from the 14th through the 19th. Guess no matter what, I would have to wait on him. This is really only my 2nd cycle off BCP so I hope I dont just start late or something.

I am waiting for Ashley to update us again and tell us about her 10th positive test!

Welcome Delaney. Finally? Girl, yall didn't waste any time to start TTC! I hope your stay here is short and sweet!

jbemommy- I guess I never got to be nonchalant about TTC. I was ready to start way before DH so I was all to happy to throw away that last pill pack when he finally said he was ready! I know what you mean about being disappointed about seeing AF show up. I did that even on BCP, hoping I might be the .1% failure.

Anyway, hi to everyone else. Happy trying!

I was confused when I first read this because I couldn't understand what you meant about how we didn't waste time to start TTC...but then I went back up to my stats and realized my mistake. We were married in 2003, not 2005. I guess my fingers are just used to typing 2005 :D

still hanging in here - cd30 15-16 dpo- I have been wanting to test but I would rather AF show up then see a BFN - I have a feeling she will be arriving soon. I woke up with a huge Monthly ZIT - I usually have 1 that shows up right around AF time. UGGGGGGGGG

Hi everyone! Well, I'm currently on CD39. My cycles average around 34 days, but last month was 49 :eek: . So, I have no idea when to expect AF. Hopefully never! BUT, my skin has been awful lately, so perhaps those blemishes are a sign of an impending visit. Still trying to figure out how long I can/should wait to test. This Thursday would make it 2 weeks since we tried, which would be CD 41. Or should I just wait it out 49 days to see if AF arrives? Not sure I can wait that long. Anyone have any advice?

Congrats DS2003! Gonna be lots of July babies!

Gina73- I don't think I could wait either. Test now, knowing that you might didn't wait long enough. If it is neg. oh well. You knew it could be...but what if you are? waiting that long is a long time to wait!!! I don't know much about you, but do you know why your cycles are so long? Have you seen a Dr? I guess some people just have wacky cycles, but I thought I would ask.

As for me...I am making every little thing a preg symptom in my head. I am tired...probably because I used to drink a lot of caffine and today I just had water. I have little aches and pains, probably because my shoes are worn out and I need new ones
My tummy is a little gurgley, probably because I have been eating pretty crappy this week...oh well. Time will tell. This is hard!

Big CONGRATS to Sunshine and DS2003!!! I wish you both a wonderfully happy and healthy 9 months! (And, hoping a little of your luck comes our way...)

Jess71903 - I have no idea why my cycles are so long, either. 34 days tends to be the average, but last month was the 3rd time in about 14 months that my cycle went oddly long (once it was 40, then 45, then 49). I talked to my doctor about it, and she doesn't seem too concerned. I went to a pre-conception visit in August and they ran a ton of tests which all came out normal. I'm hoping that these long cycles don't indicate problems in the present or future...

And, yeah, I'm not sure how much longer I can wait to test either - but I'm going out of town this weekend to visit my dad and wouldn't dream of bringing a test with me (can you imagine?). So I may either test before I leave, or wait until DH comes back on Tuesday.

Jess71903
10-12-2005, 02:02 PM
Gina73- I am glad you know nothing major is wrong to make your cycles so whacked out. I am thinking testing at your dad's would be a severe no-no! All the screaming from the bathroom might freak him out ;-). Anyway, good luck to you! I hope Oct. is your month!!! (mine too!)

I can't even keep up with all the new BFPs...Congrats to you all! I said July babies earlier...it would be early July for me (I think) if I get a BFP...

Quick question on that subject. When you get a due date, to they count 40 weeks from the 1st day of your last period, or 2 weeks after that? I did that online preg. test thing last weekend and it said if I was preggo, I would be 3 weeks...well, it's been 3 weeks since last AF, but only a week or so since Ovulation...so, was I a week preggo before I even conceived? I just thought it was kinda silly.

~~~~BABYDUST~~~~
Thanks for all the H&H pg wishes.... I hope we can get a few more BFP this month It is just the 12th ...
jnshanna
10-12-2005, 02:16 PM
Jess ~ As far as I know they count from the 1st day of your last period but add 14 days for an "average" ovulation date. So if you O earlier or later, that kind of EDD won't be accurate. So if you know the exact date that you O'd it can be calculated based on that date for 40 weeks. I have no idea if that makes sense though. :p Someone else can surely explain it better. ;) I did it myself at FF and it says I would have a due date of 7/14/06 based on my LMP but if I do it based on my "predicted" O date, my due date would be 7/17/06.
Technically everyone is pregnant from what a board said today. It's just a matter of if conception actually takes place. I guess they say that since you have a period every month and release an egg usually every cycle.
When I do the due date calculator it says I am 3 weeks. But if I am, I won't find out until next week. When I was pregnant last year, I found out at 14 weeks (crazy I know) but the doctor counted it from my last period which was November 1st although I know I O'd on the 18th. She said it's always by your 1st day of your last period.
Bellefior
10-12-2005, 06:13 PM
Probably a TMI question. I've noticed some spotting over the last few days with some bright red blood, not too heavy, but there. Even though I am not charting this month, I am only at CD10 and that's way too early for ovulation and I am definitely not pregnant. Any thoughts? If it keeps up, I probably will call the doctor at the end of the week.
looty
10-12-2005, 08:13 PM
Congrats Sunshine! That is so exciting.
Bellefior--I would just call you doctor if it doesn't stop. I dont' really have any insight sorry!
Welcome to Gisell. I hope you don't have to be here long! Don't worry about not knowing all the lingo. You'll pick it up pretty fast and if something doesn't make sense just ask. We have all been there before. :)
Good luck testing Gina! I would wait to test until my DH was getting ready to come home because I would want to tell him in person and it would be hard to keep it a secret if he wasn't around to tell.
Good luck to eveyone else who is bd'ing or waiting to see if they get their BFP (including myself).
I am only CD 12 so I have a little more than two weeks to wait to see if I will get my summer baby.
Is anyone else testing soon?
gina73
10-13-2005, 08:03 AM
Well, I took everyone's advice to test and do so last night....
I got a BFP!!!!!!!
I can't belive it! I first tested when I got home and DH was at the gym. I thought he'd be home soon, so I pulled out a test I had left over, one of those regular Clear Blue kinds. After a few minutes, I saw a very faint but real + sign. Not totally convinced, I waited until DH came home so he could see for himself, but by the time he got home, the test had faded quite a bit. Since we weren't sure, and DH didn't want to go out of town for 6 days with uncertainty, we went out and bought one of those EPT digital read out kinds. I didn't even get to put the cap back on before we saw the word "pregnant"! We still were in disbelief, so we walked away from the bathroom and came back 5 minutes later. Yep, still pregnant!
We're cautiously excited, since we know so much can happen at this point. (I even hesitate to post this here, but darnit, I just HAD to tell someone!) I don't think either one of us will be totally convinced until I visit a doctor. But I'm SOOOO glad I tested last night before DH left town. He won't come back until midnight on Tuesday, at which point I'll probably test again to be sure.
See, all this baby dust stuff IS working!
YAH, GINA!!!! I am glad you tested before he left and didn't just chalk it up to a long cycle!!!!!
I am at CD 25 and my DH just left for work. When he gets off in the morning, he will leave and be gone until Wed...If AF doesn't start I may have to test! I will be here by myself and I promise that is all I will be able to think about! Problem is, he is going to be at his parent's house and if I do get a BFP, we don't plan to tell them for a little while, anyway. AH, the AGONY!
I can't tell you if I have symptoms or not. Everything feels like a symptom, so I am trying not to psych myself out too much. Could just be impending AF stuff.
Thanks to everyone that sent congrats and well wishes my way - I still can't believe it. And I don't think it will be a reality until I hear the words from a medical professional's mouth. Hopefully I'll prove myself wrong!
Jess71903 and looty - thanks for giving me the nudges I needed to take the test in the first place! I think I would have driven myself insane either waiting for DH to get back, or caving and taking the test without him here.
Welcome, Twylla! I think I remember seeing you around the WC threads a lot.
Went shopping today with the girls, one of which is 7 weeks preggo...hoping some of it might rub off on me, but I am feeling kinda yucky and had some brown spotting...thinking nasty old AF is about to rear her ugly head. CD 26 or 27 so I guess that's about right. What makes me mad is that DH has already told me his work schedule for the next few weeks and it totally sucks for baby making. I am sick of this working nights stuff (he is supposed to get to move to days soon). He is also supposed to work every 3rd weekend, and lately he has worked at least a day of EVERY weekend. I hate it! I told him to tell his nurse manager that she is keeping him from becoming a father. Anyway, that's my vent for the night. I feel better now. Off to bed for me! Keep the BFPs coming!
Jess I hear ya on the DH work schedule. My DH works nights every other week and with having a 2 year old around who no longer takes naps it really doesn't make it very conducive to get some bd'ing in.
Welcome twylla!! I hope your stay here is short and sweet.
Well, I was right. Back around to CD1 for me today. I am disappointed, but not even so much because it didn't happen THIS month, but that I know we don't have a fighting chance next month either due to the work thing. Oh well. It will happen in God's time.
Jess So sorry that AF found you. That's a really good attitude to have. I am starting to get bummed out and I am about to O. It's horrible when you are discouraged before you even O. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for everyone.
I'm out too! I am having spotting and cramps and I'm sure I'll wake up with AF. I told my husband that we are having sex EVERY DAY next month, so he needs to prepare himself. ;)
Sorry to all the ladies who got a visit from AF. Anyone testing soon?
I am 8DPO and have had lots of symptoms that I am guessing are from my trigger shot. I'll POAS on Wednesday and I go for bloodwork Friday. For some reason, I'm not feeling too optimistic.
Keeping fingers crossed for others!!!
Just thought I'd drop by since there has been a lot of action here with all the ****BABYDUST**** lately! Hoping that it will help us all this month to move on as graduates.
I'm 10CD and waiting to O.
I'm a bit disappointed I found out yesterday that my cousin and his wife who have a 1 year old are again pregnant with a second baby. Don't get me wrong I am happy for them I was just hoping that we'd be first.
I'm sorry AF showed up Jess.
CD29, feeling like AF is around the corner. My longest cycle since getting off BCPs over a year ago was 31 days. If AF isn't here by then, then I'll test.
Sorry to hear that AF showed up for some of you. Good luck to everyone BDing and/or testing!
As for me I'm on CD 11. Unfortunately, I don't know if this is going to be the month for us or not. Sorry if this is TMI...but since Sunday I have had discomfort in the rectal area. I was constipated for a couple days, but after taking some laxatives I was able to have a movement, however the pain in the area never seems to totally go away. I am fine through most of the day, but as the day goes on and into the evening the pain gets worse. Today I finally decided to call my doctor, since this is been going on for over a week already. I have an appointment to see her tomorrow at 11:30, hopefully it is nothing and I am not just not having a full movement. The bummer is this is the time period when I am supposed to be most fertile. We didn't BD last night because I was in pain and now we can't do it tonight, because I have the appointment tomorrow! Hopefully all will go well at the appointment and we can get back to business tomorrow night and not miss my O! :)
Good luck to everyone testing - I hope I don't see any of you next month!!
I'm a little bit behind so I'll try to catch up. :) I'm out of town until Thursday night on business.
Welcome Twylla! :D
Dotsie and Jess ~ I hope you're able to get some well timed BDing in this month somehow! Sorry about AF. :(
Sorry AF showed up for you too Emmjay. LOL at your DH. That's so funny! We really need it at a time like that.
Good luck Alioop! You never know, try to stay positive.
And Good luck to you too with testing Ericka. I hope this is it for you!
Ouch Jessie! I hope you're feeling better soon and can get some BDing in while you're fertile.
Thanks for all the bd wellwishes. From what FF is telling me, our chances are GOOD :) I think I ovulated yesterday. We bd'd late Thursday night and again very early yesterday morning. I had +opk's on Sat, and Sun and a - today. I guess we'll find out in 2 weeks if it worked. It's so hard having a toddler in the house and TTC.
Thansk for the warm welcome ladies!!! It's nice to be here, even though I haven't officially graduated from Ladies in Waiting, lol.
Today is CD158 for me. Sigh. Tomorrow I go in to see the doctor, hopefully he reffers me to someone who can tell what the heck is going on. I don't think I've ovulated since going off BCP last year.
Maybe that baby dust will give me a boost, a girl can wish!
10-18-2005, 04:45 AM
I caved and tested yesterday it was BFN, which I knew it would be, but a girl can hope. I was only CD 31, DPO 9.
Hubby asked me yesterday if I was taking tests yet, cause he thought I would be since we last BD'd. I told him it would have been too early to test since than.
Today is exactly the 6 month anniversary of my baby girl being born. Weird to think I should be sitting here with a 6 month old, all be it that she would have most likely just come home in August though. It's strange, I am really ok about it, I'm heading to the cemetary later this afternoon. Haven't been since earlier last week because of the rain and heading to my mom's.
Sorry to all the ladies getting BFNs and AF right now! :mad: Keep trying!
DPO 1 and I swear I had implantation spotting today. I don't really know and I'm trying not to get my hopes up. The 2ww is going to drive me crazy! At least work is so busy it should distract me til it is time to test.
Sorry about AF and the BFPs! I hope your next cycle is more productive for you (if you don't get your BFP later this week)!
I O'ed sometime between Friday and Monday. I am not exactly sure but I made sure that we covered our bases. I am pretty relaxed about it this month even though I am really hoping that I get pregnant this month. If I don't get pregnant this month we probably won't try as hard next month to avoid an August due date (since I am a teacher). Here's hoping I'll still get blessed with a summer baby.
Good luck to any testers!
Ericka, sorry about the BFN, but it was early, maybe visiting Rebekah will give you some extra baby luck, {{HUGS}}
Welcome to TWYLLA I think I have seen you in Kara's journal on LJ! Glad that your doc gave you what you need!
I think I am in the 2WW. My cycles have been 27-28 days since getting my period back. We will just have to wait and see. We have been covering our bases, we BD's Wed, Fri, Sun, and last night, so hopefully! Keeping my fingers crossed.
Good luck to all those testing soon!
I hope you get your BFP soon Erika!
Sorry to hear that AF showed up for you ericka_jarett.
Erika - sorry to hear about the BFN.
Good luck to all those getting ready to test or BDing! :)
Currently at CD 17. Not planning on testing for at least another 2 weeks if AF doesn't show up. Although I am not really charting this month, if I follow my usual pattern and am not pregnant, AF would probably show up next weekend.
Sorry about AF Ericka. Hopefully you won't get your period in Fl at all!
Glad to hear that nothing is wrong Jessie. Have fun bd'ing.
I think that I overanalyze every pain. I don't really know when I O'ed for sure. I have the pains but I can't tell the difference because I get a few apins each month around the same time. I did have sore bb's Monday so maybe I O'ed then. I am clueless but regardless I think I will end up testing the last weekend of the month if AF doesn't show.
CD 32 for me, which is longer than normal. I expected AF yesterday, but she was a no show. I started temping again this week, and my temp dropped yesterday, so I have no idea why AF hasn't shown up yet. :confused: So annoying, since with the temp drop, that definitely means I'm not pg (right?) and I'd like for AF to come so I can move on to the next cycle...
flygirl -- CONGRATULATIONS!!!
looty, Bellefior, duke's flygirl, jbemommy -- good luck, I hope the wait goes by quickly for all of you!
Erika&Jarrett: Sorry about AF showing up! Here's to next month and no AF for your Disney trip!
Hi, guys! Sorry for all the AF and BFNs around.
Mayham- I would SO test! I think a drop in temp could mean anything...your mouth was just cold :). I think a missing AF is the biggest indicator that you should test.
CD 5 for me. Just waiting for the fun part, assuming we will have time for that this month. I guess I get to carry over into the Nov. thread. Anyway, good luck to all of you 2WW and BDers!
Hi ladies...I think I'm going to lurk a bit and post a bit...we are just starting this process which is very exciting and of course a little anxiety provoking. It's still a big secret and since it's such a big deal to me, it's nice to share it with y'all!
I have TCOYF and am reading it but knowing my obsessive self, I'm not sure charting would be the best thing for me. Not yet, anyway.
One thing I'm not 100% clear on is how many days you are fertile a month... Is it only a 1 or 2 day period when you're ovulating or because of the lifespan of sperm it can be longer?
Good luck to all!
seapod
10-21-2005, 12:54 AM
The doctor prescribed Provera to me today, I start tomorrow. Hopefully that'll get my cycles unmixed up.
Good luck to everyone in the 2WW!
Twylla- I want to thank you for your training for the arthritis marathon. I have reumatiod arthritis and appreciate what you are doing.
I'm also on a long cycle- 111 days now. I went in and they did hormone tests and things looked ok. sigh... I'll probably go back to the dr to see if I can get anything to kick start my cycles.
Good luck.
Dotsie
10-21-2005, 05:16 AM
maybebaby You really only have ONE fertile day a month but you have a few potentially fertile days leading up to your ovulation day. Remeber that an egg can only live for about 24 hours before dying off, and that sperm *can* live up to 5 days in ewcm, although the norm is more like 2-3.
Good Luck to everyone in whatever part of the cycle they may be in. I'm 5DPO today, trying not to obsess. So far I have NO symptoms but I guess it's really too soon for all of that anyway.
Congrats to flygirl, very exciting!!!!
Hello dukes' flygirl, I remember you! I thought your avatar looked familiar... Glad to have another TTC buddy!
seapod, RA, I'm so sorry. I'm for for my aunt and my mom, and my aunt was diagnosed with juvenile RA 50 some years ago. She still tells me she wishes she could've been a surrogate mother over and over again, since the only times she was 100% in remission is during her two pregnancies! Good news for you, right? Anyway, thank you for that, it means a lot. I'm happy to run!
I'm now on CD162, probably still haven't o'd, tonight I take my 3rd provera pill. I'm crampy and cranky, it seems as though AF could be here after this! yay!
Sorry about all the BFPs and AFs... let's hope this weekend brings some BFPs!
Jess71903
10-23-2005, 04:13 PM
Sorry about the BFN, Ali. I hope next month is your month.
Also, Mayham....I guess it's kinda good that your body went ahead and did what it was supposed to do. I am sorry that your didn't get a BFP, though. I guess we'll all be in the Nov. thread together.
I am at CD 8...the usual "fun" time is supposed to be coming up, but as I said before...may be hard this month since hubby's work schedule is so screwy. He has 6, 12-hour shifts in 7 days...UH!
looty
10-23-2005, 05:21 PM
Sorry Ali. I was cathching up from the past few days and holding my breath that you would be coming back with good news. I'm sorry. Hopefully next month.
I am currently on CD 23. I think that I am anywhere between 9 and 6 DPO. I'll go with 9 since that seems better and when I started having O symptoms. I haven't been obsessing as much but I am still wondering if the strange feelings in my uterus region yesterday could mean anything. :rolleyes:
My new SIL (Bro got married Saturday) gave me a pillow that is supposed to heighten dreams and I made the comment "Now I can really dream about being pregnant." (just joking around) and she gave me a very dirty look. :confused: DH says he thinks that she wants to be the first pregnant one. TOO BAD!:p
jnshanna - That's great your timing in between trips is right before your O!
maybebaby - Welcome! These boards are great to talk to people about TTC when you're still in the not telling stage with your friends.
Alioop12345 - I'm so sorry things didn't work out.
Jess71903 - Thanks... yeah, it sucks I didn't get a bfp, but at least AF came so I can start a new cycle. That's tough with your DH's schedule, but I'm sure you'll make it work, good luck!
looty - That's odd about your SIL... hopefully she'll realize soon enough that other people's plans for ttc has nothing to do with her own!
CD 4 for me. I have an appointment with a new obgyn in Nov, so I'm charting again so that I'll have a recent chart to show her, and to get her thoughts on things.
Ali Sorry to hear things didn't work out. Here to hoping that next month is for you! :)
maybebaby Welcome...hope your stay is short & sweet! :)
twylla Hope AF comes so you can get down to business! ;)
looty Crossing my fingers for you!
As for me I am CD20...not quite sure when I O'd. I might have had some symptoms, but I was also not feeling well last week, so I am not sure. I did have something strange happen over the weekend...(sorry if this is TMI) on Saturday morning DH and I BD and afterwards I went to clean up and go to the bathroom and there was blood on the tp. Could this be implantation spotting? Wouldn't be a little bit too early for that since I was only CD 18, however I am not quite sure when I O'd. Any thoughts?
Elenna
10-24-2005, 09:47 AM
Threadmistress, can you move me to Waiting to O?
AF was a little over a week late, but I kept getting BFNs. So, I guess I just O'd really late this past cycle. I hope it doesnt happen again. These past three weeks were miserable.
Edited because I just looked at my calendar and realized I had the length wrong. It just felt like a longer time.
maybebaby 10DPO is really early but you can get a BFP on that day. I did with my DS. Normally you should wait until at least 12 DPO. However I don't think anyone who is TTC has all that much willpower. Good Luck!!
