View Full Version : Seeing What Happens - TTC in October, 2005

Welcome to the newbies! May your stays be short and sweet!
Just waiting to test. I will be trying to wait to test until Sunday Morning. I got my BFP with my daughter 2 days before AF was due to arrive, and AF is due to arrive on Tuesday.
I had some pinky/red stuff on the TP this morning, and the only other time that I remember having that was when I was PG with Ryleigh. ETA I am CD 22 today! Dotsie looks like we are cycle buddies! Both trying for #2 Love your avtar BTW! He is a cutie!
The only thing, both good and bad about testing on Sunday morning, is that my whole family will be here from Ontario, Canada for DD's early first Birthday, and her Baptism on Sunday. DH's family will be here too, so I guess it would be great to tell them all together. We told our families that early with DD, but didn't tell anyone else for a couple of weeks.
Good luck to all those who are getting ready to test! Fingers crossed that we have a few more BFP to add to October's already large number!

duke's flygirl - things are sounding good for you! Hope you have great news to tell your family on Sunday!
maybebaby - 10 DPO might be on the early side, but do whatever makes you feel comfortable. I know when we first started ttc, taking an early hpt helped me be a little more realistic if it was negative, rather than going through the entire 2ww with building hope.
CD6 for me.

DPO 8. I may try and test this weekend on Sunday. Looks like I am on the same cycle as dotsie and duke's flygirl. :) I really have no idea if I am or am not PG. With every possible PG sign, I can't decide if it is PG or just my body still adjusting to being off BCP. Guess I will find out this weekend or next week! STAY AWAY AF!
Finally de-lurking:
Me: Kelsey
DH: Jack
Married: Dec 27, 2003
TTC: Aug 2005
I'm going to join the 8 or 9 dpo club...So now I'm just waiting, waiting, waiting and obsessing over every little twitch/cramp/itch. Who knew ttc would make me into a crazy person?!

woo-hoo for the same cycle....
duke'sflygirl, Roberta, & MMK. I can totally relate with all the FPS. I tested this morning and got a BFN. I can't believe I tested this early. I'm so angry at myself. I'm not testing again until Thursday and I'm only testing then because it's my 4th wedding anniversary. If it's a BFN (which I'm expecting) then I'm not POAS until AF is late.
dukesflygirl Thanks for the compliments. Aidan is awesome but he is SUCH a terror these days. I cannot wait until his 3rd bday...in June:rolleyes:
Dotsie! I was planning on you being strong for me...now that you tested what's to keep me from testing?!!!:p I think the key is to NEVER have the hpt's in your house until you're ready to test. I swear I can't even walk into CVS until this Friday!

MMK, I know:o
I'm telling DH to hide them. Bad me, bad me!! I so hope this is all of our months. My best friend irl is trying as well and she and I are on the same cycle. I hope she's included in all of our bfp's....when we get them:D

CD20 and either 8 or 6 DPO for me. I won't be testing till AF is due next week. I've been crampy, so I'm hoping that's a good sign since it's too early for AF cramping.

Just checking in on all of you. Looks like some of the names I know have graduated.
I hope you all get your BFPs soon.
Unfortunately, I will be back here myself but probably not until after the first of the year.

AF has just departed her visit. Going to continue trying. Really hope we achieve it in the next two months since I really want a summer 2006 baby.
Congrats on those of you that graduated.

So now I'm just waiting, waiting, waiting and obsessing over every little twitch/cramp/itch. Who knew ttc would make me into a crazy person?!
Oh my goodness, I can totally agree with this! I was kind of crampy last night and I started thinking "what if?" Doubtful though. But I can hope! :)

MMK - welcome! It's always nice to have new people to share in the obsession :)
roberta, jbemommy, MMK, Michelle - good luck, i hope AF stays away for all of you and anyone I've missed!
Dotsie - crossing my fingers you'll get a BFP on your anniversary! I've always broken down and tested any time any sort of event is near testing time... Father's Day, Mother's Day, our anniversary, DH's birthday. Never know, it would be great if a BPF and another celebration could be combined -- good luck!!!!
pacificbliss - thanks for checking in on us. So sorry you'll be coming back to this thread, I hope you are okay.
jarocha - AF just left for me as well, now on to the fun part of ttc! I hope this cycle is it, so we can both have summer babies! Maternity leave in the summer would be quite fun :) Are you a teacher?

I'm waiting until next week to test. But now I am feeling ambivalent about the whole thing, and am wondering if I'm not PG if we should wait to TTC. Let me explain why and maybe you can give me some thoughts.
DH is in the process of giving notice at his current FT position (he's an attorney) so that he can help out his dad at the family business (not law), because my FIL had surgery and his recovery will take 6 mos to a year. If DH doesn't help, they may have to close the business--not a good thing. His dad gets the help he needs 3 days a week, DH gets paid and has the time to study for the bar exam that he is planning to take in another state in Feb, where he has more and better opportunities. He currently is very underpaid for someone with his experience and underpaid for the amount of work he is supposed to handle--overworked IMHO. No way he can he study for the bar and work full time and expect to pass.
I understand this, really I do, and know it will lead to better opportunities for us down the road, but feel like it puts a lot of weight on my shoulders and that maybe we should wait until after he takes it in Feb to TTC again? Then again, I will be 37 in January...how long should I wait? I'm almost afraid that the test next week will be positive, how crazy is that? FYI- DH doesn't want to wait any longer and thinks we still should TTC.
I know any child is a blessing from God, but I also wonder if there ever is a perfect time? (Apologies if my post is somewhat of a downer).
Dotsie
10-25-2005, 03:34 PM
Bellefior I'm sorry you and your family are going through a rough patch. Good Luck. It sounds like if your dh did help out his dad in the business it would also help him out in his law studies. THat sounds great. As to a perfect time to have a baby. There isn't one. You will always find excuses as to why *this* particular time isn't right, not enough money, too small of a house, etc, etc. If I were in your shoes I would keep on TTC. You never know how long it will take to get pg either. There's no guarantee it will happen quick. Good Luck. I'm sure you'll make the right decision for you.

mayham Not a teacher. Selfish reasons I want a summer baby. Would love to have good weather for birthday parties.
Thanks for the warm welcome!
So I was sitting here feeling kind of depressed...I'm not really sure why. I guess it has a lot to do with really wanting to look forward to testing but then being so worried that the same thing that happened last month will happen again (bfp that quickly turned into bleeding/cramping). Anyway, I was really busy throwing myself a pity party, when I decided I would go check out my bb's (weird?) because they were feeling a little tingly. They look very veiny and my nipples seem to be quite swollen (how's that for tmi!). So now I'm pretty psyched. Can't believe I'm "psyched" over having veiny bb's! I am officially crazy.
Ooops forgot...Bellefior, I ditto Dotsie. Sometimes you just have to roll with what life hands you and hope for the best. Whenever I worry about being financially "ready" I think about others who are so much less fortunate then I am yet manage to have healthy happy babies that seem more emotionally adjusted than many others who have "everything." Either way, I'm sorry that you have to feel this stress before getting ready to test...I wish you the best!!

10-25-2005, 08:45 PM
MMK-- I hope your veiny bbs mean you are in store for a BFP soon!
Bellefior-- I agree with the others that you should keep trying if that is really what you want. There is no perfect time, but if continuing is going to cause you more stress than it's worth you may want to reconsider.
Pacificbliss--I am sorry to hear that you are coming back here so soon. You are in my thoughts.
Good luck to Dotsie, Duke's Flygirl, Roberta, Jbemomma, MMK, and Michelle. I will be right there testing with you guys if AF doesn't show by Sunday. I haven't had too many FPS this month but that is because after I psyched myself out I was disappointed. I have been really busy too so I haven't had as much time to over analyze since it is the end of the quarter.
Here's to BFPs for us all!:D

Let's hope these veiny boobs stick around long enough to turn into BFPs! It seems like this weekend could be the lucky one for some of you! In the meantime, I'm still waiting for Af. I'm starting to feel crampy, haven't felt that in a looong time. Just like being excited about veiny boobs, I'm really excited to have some cramps, lol.
Oh, and just because cramps wouldn't be enough, i've now got a sinus cold too. Yeehaw.

Hi ladies,
Boy, I'm really depressed. DH and I had scheduled a romantic weekend this coming weekend for our official TTC BDing. I was so excited thinking about it, thinking how cool it would be to get knocked up on Holloween. The doctor had told me that most woman ovulate the first cycle coming off bcp, so I was READY!
Sunday morning I woke up feeling pretty ill. Sore throat, etc. Went to work on Monday, started feeling much worse, went to the doctor yesturday and have been diagnosed with walking pneumonia... I'm on 4 perscriptions right now, the doc said absolutely no TTC this month :(
Hopefully it doesn't take too long to get over, and doc said no reason to worry, that TTC next month should be fine, but I'm still depressed. Oh well, better off getting healthy (and antibiotics out of the system) before TTC, right?
Thanks for listening... hope all of you stay healthy and that "veiny bbs" = BFPs!

pacificbliss I'm so sorry you will be coming back to this thread. You are in my thoughts.
Belleflior I'm in agreement with the others, you should keep trying if that is what you would like. Good luck with your decision.
MMK Crossing my fingers that your veiny bbs are a positive sign to come! :)
batgirl Sorry to hear that you are sick and will have to wait to TTC until next month. Hope you feel better soon!
As for me I'm on CD22. Today my bb's are sore especially the nipples. I have also had a little discharge pink at first and then brownish. It is too early for it to be AF. I will test next weekend (Nov 4-5) if AF doesn't show up. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Sheesh, I didn't realize how behind I was on SO's! I read along every day and sometimes I just forget that I haven't responded because I have in my head. ;) I hope I don't miss anyone. If I do, I apologize in advance.
Dotsie ~ I hope this is it for you. Your chart sure is looking nice!
Ericka ~ How are you feeling? I know it must be a tough month for you. {{Hugs}}
Pacificbliss ~ I'm sorry that you will be joining us so soon. {{Hugs}} to you too.
Roberta ~ Good luck with weekend! I'll second your statement, STAY AWAY AF!! ;)
Twylla ~ I hope this cycle is much shorter for you or even better, the longest it's ever been and you'll have a nice gift at the end. ;) Now I'll have to tell AF to GET HERE ALREADY for you! ;)
jbemommy ~ Sounds like you had some good timing this month!
Duke's Flygirl ~ You really covered your bases this month too! I hope the spotting is a great indication of what's to come!!
Jessied1025 ~ I'm glad your dr didn't find anything wrong. Have fun! :) As far as your spotting, could it be that you O'd late? I'm not sure what your cycle is usually like but some women do spot when they O. Just a thought. I've heard that brown spotting can be implantation spotting and even happens early in pregnancy. I hope that's a good sign for you!
Bellefior ~ I'm sorry for this stress that you're going through. I feel the same way as the other ladies. I think if you are ready to get pg, keep trying through all of this. If it happens, it's meant to be. :)
jnshanna
10-26-2005, 02:55 PM
Looty ~ I hope you beat your SIL!! :p
Mayham ~ Sorry about AF :( I hope your new dr has some good advice for you.
Jess71903 ~ I hope you can work around DH's schedule this month and catch that egg!
Alioop ~ I'm so sorry the BFP didn't stick around. :(
Maybebaby ~ Have fun learning all about TTC. It's quite an adventure. I started out just seeing what happens but decided to chart after our first month of trying. Everyone is different though. For me I feel like I have more control (even though I really don't. ;) )
Seapod ~ I hope your dr was able to prescribe something to finally finish your long cycle.
Elenna ~ Sorry about AF. :( I hate it when the 2WW becomes the 3WW. Ugh! I really hope that doesn't happen to you this month.
dionysia ~ I hope you don't have to wait too long for your O. The early part of the cycle sure is boring!
Welcome MMK! Your post about your veiny bb's cracked me up! I hope it is a RPS!
Jarocha ~ I hope you get your Summer baby!
Emermel ~ That darn witch! :( I'm sorry she showed her face.
Wow jnshanna, impressive job with the so's...I think you really got everyone in! I'm still obsessed with my bb's. Dying to test tomorrow but holding off until Monday. Sorry to those of you that Af found. I hate her ugly face. Who else is testing this weekend?? Dotsie I expect a report first thing in the morning!!
Monday? What am I on crack? Testing on Friday!

batgirl... get better quick! let's hope this was a sign that NEXT month is yours instead! Maybe you can plan another romantic weekend? Good luck!
emermel... sorry about AF!
jnshanna... very nice job on the shout outs! let's hope this is as long as my cycle can ever be!
Still waiting for AF. Although wouldn't this be a kicker if I got a BFP now? I also have a cold and I'm hopped up on pills, which seem to be working. I can just imagine how awful it would be to be pg and have a cold, but not be able to take too much for meds... let's hope this is a cold getting OUT of my system for good!

Hi Shanna,
Thanks for asking about me. I am doing ok, having my days it seems the last few days. Not much happening presently on the TTC end of things. Only CD 8. We are going to Disney in a less than 2 months so that keeps my mind busy with message boards and such. My best friend is due to have her baby boy #2 in less than 2 weeks, asked me yesterday if I can watch son #1 should she not be able to get her MIL when the time comes. Afraid I may make a pest of myself once she has the baby, love how a newborn smells :)

Twylla~Oh the things we will get excited about when we are TTC. Last month I was excited because I was tired, nauseaus, and had spotting. Unfortunately it turned out to be FPS for me. I hope they are RPS for you!
Batgirl~Sorry that you are so sick and have to hold off on TTC. I can imagine how that would be disappointing.
Jess~I am keeping my fingers crossed for you that your sore nipples and spotting turn out to be wonderful things. ;)
Emermel~Sorry to hear that AF found you this month. :(
Jnshanna~Man you are good with all your shout outs! I am impressed!
MMK~Good luck with POAS tomorrow morning! I am looking forward to some great news from you tomorrow.:D
Ericka~I hope that you are able to take in all the newborn smell you want in about 9 months, but in the mean time get your fix from your friend's baby. ;)
I am currently on CD 26. I think that I am about 10 DPO. I have been having a few more symptoms as I get closer. It may all be wishful thinking, but none the less...the list inclused tender bbs, some strange feelings in 'that area' that aren't really cramps but not sure when they are...ummm...other than that I have been a bit irritable but I am not sure if that is related to FPS.:o This month I haven't had any cramps or spotting yet so that is good. We'll see if I don't get AF by Sunday.

Oh how fun, Ericka! I LOVE Disney! I'm glad you have that to keep you busy. We just stayed at the Pop Century resort a few months ago. We've also stayed at all of the other All Star resorts. It's such a magical place.
And I hear ya on the baby smells. *sigh* That is just the best!
I was actually pretty amazed by my SO job yesterday too! LOL ;) I felt the need to make up for my lack of SO's for so long though.
I saw in the 2WW that Dotsie got another line this morning, faint again, but a line still. I hope this is it for you! :D
As for me, I'm pretty confused this month. I'm on CD21 and I thought I was still getting EWCM Tues and then watery yesterday but that shouldn't be happening since I'm pretty sure I already O'd on CD14 based on my temp. Although I had to get up at 4am that morning to catch my flight back home from Miami so my temp that day might not be accurate. What a great time to have a questionable temp. Plus I didn't get a + OPK this month because I was traveling and couldn't take it early enough and when I could take it, it must have been too late. I hate not having a clear indication of what's going on. I guess I'm just going to stay with what FF has called as my O and go from there. I didn't put in EW for the past two days though because if I do it takes away my O. :( So confusing. I have a feeling this is going to be a really annoying 2WW. Oh yeah, and our BD timing was not good based on CD14 as my O date. It's okay but not as good as I'd like. Okay, I'm done babbling now. LOL Thanks for listening.

Holy crap. I have realized the worse part of being home sick is that "A Baby Story" is on like 5 times a day! Plus a couple of other one's called "bringing home Baby", etc. I think I have watched them all since Tuesday! Boy, has TTC made everyone else as nutty as I have become???
Thanks for the post, Shanna, on conception percentages. This one looks a little less depressing than the other one's I've seen.
Good luck with testing/avoiding AF this weekend. And here's to not so Hollow-weenies this weekend :D
Okay, I'll blame that on the drugs and not on my terrible sense of humor ;)

Hi guys! CD 12 for me now. Looking at that chart thing that you posted jnshanna gives me hope! I agree with the Baby Story thing. looty...well, I know they aren't RPS just yet... first I need AF! Today is CD168, ugh!!!!! Maybe next month...
Ericka... have a blast at Disney! We visited DisneyLand in april and really had a great time.
jnshanna...that IS a tough one to figure out. Maybe AF doesn't know though, so she'll stay away anyhow! Hey, a girl can hope!
batgirl... I lvoe those TLC shows. I start work at 2:30 in the afternoon, so I watch them all week long. Torture!!! Hollow-weenies, LMAO! Let's hope not!
jess... my fingers are crossed for you... have a good weekend ;)
Well, still waiting on AF. I'm on CD168 already, and starting to get pretty impatient. I guess we'll see what the weekend brings. I took my last provera pill Tuesday night, so AF should show up by next week. If not, I'll call and make a dr appointment for the end of next week. It's time to get her here already!!!

It looks like my TTC journey is going to have to be postponed. :(
I went to the doctor for my preconception visit and found out that I have a big ovarian cyst. I figured I had another one, but I was hoping for better news. I'm going in for an ultrasound next week and if it doesn't go away by then, I'm going to have surgery. So even though I'm O'ing right now, no BDing for us. Hopefully next month!
mayham
10-27-2005, 07:37 PM
Delaney21 - I'm so sorry you have to postpone ttc. I hope it goes away by your ultrasound so you won't need surgery, and so you can be back on the ttc journey before you know it.
Twylla - I hope AF comes for you soon, so you can end your long cycle!
jnshanna - sorry you have so many question marks with your cycle. Confusing CM and temps can be so frustrating, when that's all you have to look at to figure out what the heck is going on!
Dotsie - good luck, i hope this is it for you!!
Hope everyone else is doing well in your varying stages! Sorry, I'm just not as good at shout outs as jnshanna!
Just waiting to O, on CD 8. We're going to try BDing every day during my fertile time this cycle to see how that works. None of this every other day stuff! I'm actually feeling kind of weird today, like AF is coming. She better not come again! No idea what that could mean. I'm convinced it's the Fresca I had at lunch, I've just felt odd ever since.
jnshanna
10-27-2005, 08:18 PM
Delaney21 ~ I'm sorry a cyst was found and you can't TTC right now. I really hope it's gone when you get checked next so that you don't need surgery. Keep us updated! :)
How funny Mayham, we're doing the exact opposite this cycle. We're trying every other day this time. ;)
I've been feeling pretty icky today. I was really busy at work today so maybe that's part of it. But I'm feeling super dizzy and was feeling the same way at work today. I've felt this way before though so I can't really assume it's a FPS but you know how it goes. I still think that in the back of my mind.

10-27-2005, 08:39 PM
Oh, Delaney21, I'm sorry about the bad news. I guess on the bright side, at least it was found before you had a complicated pregnancy, right?
Will someone send Aunt Flo to Twylla's house? None of the rest of us want to see her ugly face, but she needs her help around the house for about a week. Good grief, I mean 168 days without a visit is a little long, even for someone we don't like to see! (I don't mean to trivialize the problem...I hope it's taken the way it's meant :o )
Thanks for crossing any available crossables for me. I haven't waited as long as many of you, so it will still be ok if it doesnt happen for me...but I sure wish it would! I have one more shot Friday night/ Saturday daytime before hubby works his little butt off and won't feel "sexy" as he likes to say (not a descriptor of body image but of willingness to participate in an act;) ).
Seems like there was something else I needed to answer, but I am TERRIBLE at the whole shout out thing... I guess if I read back and figure out what it was I will just post again. Everyone have a good Friday:D !

Delaney21, sorry to hear about the cyst. One of my friends just ended up in the hospital last week because she had a cyst burst and didn't know it. It's good that they found it early.
Twylla, I've heard about the remission during pregancy. I'm hopefully I will be one of the lucky ones that will get that. I hope that AF comes soon.
I've been spotting more and more the last 3 days.... So I wonder if AF will be coming :) It was kind of funny being in the bathroom and shouting and happy that AF might be showing up. I'm not holding out hope until I get full flow but it's hopeful.
Bellefior
10-28-2005, 05:52 AM
Weird, still spotting (last 3 days) and my bbs are killing me (less than yesterday). I checked my old charts and I did have a one short 27 day cycle with a 9 day LF, so I'm still not sure this isn't AF messing with my head this cycle, but if it is, I wish she would just show up instead of keeping me wondering, especially since my temps have not dropped.
On the chance it might not be, I ran across the street from work to the CVS to buy a test kit to keep in the house for next week--no way am I going to the pharmacy in my neighborhood with the busybody old ladies that have known me since childhood behind the counter! Of course, despite my craftiness, when I got to the front of the store, both cashiers were male, so I opted for the self-scan check out instead!
ETA: I'll probably break down and test tommorrow even though I think its still too early because the second half of this cycle has just been so weird. I have both Clear Blue Easy Early Results and Clear Blue Easy Digital...is one better than the other or should I get something else?

Hey ladies, hope you don't mind if I join in. We've been TTC off & on since April, but had some bad timing along the way. The past few months we've been "serious" about things. I'm using a saliva "ferning" test for ovulation, which is pretty cool. Anyway, this is a great thread, so thought I'd join. Here's my info:
Me: Alison (37)
DH: Jeff (33)
Married: 10/26/02
TTC Since: April 2005
jnshanna
10-28-2005, 09:01 AM
Welcome jasma! I hope your stay is short. :)
Bellefior ~ I think the digital has less sensitivity compared to the early result. At least that's what I've read.
Well, I think my sitch is more clear this morning. I had a pretty good temp jump so I'm thinking I O'd yesterday. If I have 2 more high temps, FF will call that as my O date and my 2WW will turn into the 3WW. :( The really sad thing is we haven't BDed in days so our chances are low if I reallly did O yesterday and I think it's pretty safe to say that I did. I'm soooo disappointed and it's hitting me really hard this morning. I can't believe we were too tired to BD last night and the night before. What were we thinking? *sigh* With all the info I have learned I should have known that if I still had EW or W CM, I probably hadn't O'd yet. I'm so frustrated with myself. Okay, vent over. Sorry for being such a downer this morning. I'm just really upset and not feeling very optimistic at all.

Hi Ladies,
Boy, the Baby Story shows are killing me, but can't stop watching them!!! Nothing new here. I was just looking up my antibiotic on the web and found out that it is often perscribed during pregnancy... I know I'm terrible, but keep thinking... I'm at CD11 right now, last official ab is tomorrow, will be in system for 5 days after that, but might still try a bd sesson on holloween anyways... is this bad of me to think about? Its that damn Baby Story!
Welcome to this thread Jasma. I'm new myself.
Delaney21: so sorry to hear about the cyst. Good luck next week at the ultrasound.
Twyla: What is it? CD 169? So sorry. I'm sure AF is right around the corner.
Bellefior: Good luck this weekend! Hoping AF doesn't rear her ugly head.
I'm terrible at SO's also. So good luck to everyone. Have a great weekend.
Welcome Jasma!!
Big BOOOOOOO for me. BFN this morning. I'm trying not to be too disappointed since AF really isn't due for another couple of days and my cycles have been a little screwy as of late. It's just so frustrating and emotionally draining. Who knew it would be this hard?

MMK - I'm sorry about the BFN! :(

Hey ladies...
Delaney21 I am sorry to hear about the cyst, hopefully it will heal on its own so surgery won't be necessary.
Twyla Ugh, CD169...hopefully AF will come soon!
Bellefior Good luck with testing...crossing my fingers for you.
Jasma Welcome, hope your stay is short and sweet! :)
MMK Sorry to hear about the BFN.
I'm on CD24 and just waiting. My bbs are still a bit sore mostly the nipples and I have been so tired the last couple of days. I have been in bed before 9:00 the last 2 nights. I really want to try and hold out from testing until next weekend (once I have missed my period) however, I don't know if I can. I might break down and try testing this weekend.
Good luck to everyone else in their various stages of TTC! :)

Welcome Jasma! I hope your getting more serious about TTC will help you get pg this month.
Sorry about the BFN MMK. Hopefully it was just too early to test. AF hasnt showed yet so keep your head up.
I am about 13 DPO (I think) and overanalyzing every twitch and pain. The thing is other than sore bbs and being tired (which isn't unusual for me) there isn't too much. I have been really thristy for water only lately and since I have been drinking more I have been peeing more often but that probably doesn't mean anything. I want to think that it does but I don't want to be disappointed. I haven't had any cramping or spotting which is different from my last two cycle. I hope that means something but I am trying to hold out until Sunday to test. Hopefully AF doesn't show by then and I get a BFP.

So I have taken two tests and gotten faint positive lines but after the 3 minutes are up--far after--more like 20 minutes after...
I am assuming these are evaporation lines since the tests say they are not accurate after 10 minutes, but argh...it's driving me a little batty.
Period is due on the 2nd and I think I am going to try not to test anymore until then...
Anyone have any insights?

Maybebaby - as hard as it is to say, I would wait until the 2nd to test again, unless you want to be like I am sometimes and test everyday until AF arrives.
Me - Nothing exciting CD 11, so I have a ways to go. That's ok, Disney is keeping my mind busy. I went looking for Disney ornaments yesterday, because DH and myself have decided to have a tree in our hotel room and I even got a little something for the mousekeeper of our room. We arrive there on the 24th and leave on the 27th since our real reason for going to FL is a Missions Conference in Cocoa and that starts the 28th - 31st. We will be staying with the Pastor and his family at one of their friends homes (we stayed there last year, we drove from NJ to FL with a 15 passenger van full of people and ended up having 27 stay the first night and over the next few nights there were close to 40 people sleeping at the house. Neighbors opened their homes up for showers (although this house has 3 showers anyway) People slept on the kitchen tables and floor, we had a blast)

Tested this morning with Clear Blue Easy and got a BFN. I'm at CD 9 (I think), but I am still spotting and have been since Weds. night (reddish brown but still no AF just enough for a panty liner). My temp. is still elevated. Either I'm pregnant or my body is seriously out if whack. I plan on testing again Mon. morning, since we are going to the ILs today/tomm.
PS. DH was wondering why a cup was in the bathroom trash. I had to explain the whole PIAC vs. POAS -- no way was I going to try POAS at 5 am half asleep (I just couldn't hold it any longer)!

Bellefior - Sorry for the BFN, but I think at CD 9 it's definitely considered a neutral, not a negative. It does sound very promising for a bfp in the future, good luck on monday!
Ericka_Jarett - I'm in the boring part of my cycle too. Your Disney trip and conference sounds like it'll be a blast. That's so cute you'll have tree in your hotel room, that'll make it so festive and homey to be away from home during Christmas!
maybebaby - Sorry, no insights, but I wanted to wish you luck waiting until next week to test... I know how hard it is, though!
looty - Good luck waiting until tomorrow to test. In the meantime, I hope AF stays away!!
jessied1025 - If you do test this weekend, I hope you get some good news!
MMK - SOrry about the BFN. As you said, it's still early, so I hope AF stays away. I know what you mean... I had no idea ttc would be this hard, either.
batgirl - Oddly enough, I've never seen a Baby Story, and from what all of your girls are saying, I definitely shouldn't start now!
jnshanna - I'm so sorry you're feeling down about things, you need a big {HUG}!
jasma - Welcome! We started TTC around the same time. How is the ferning things working out? I've heard someone mention that before -- where do you get that?
seapod - I hope AF comes for you soon!
Nothing new with me, just waiting for next week's BDfest. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

jasma - Welcome! Glad you found us! It has been helpful to me to find ladies going through the same thing as me, since I can't talk about it to my real life friends.
I would like to send out my encouragement to you, jessied1025, MMK, maybebaby, Bellefior, and looty as you test in the near future. I wish you as much patience as possible so you endure as few BFN as you can. If you can wait just another day or 2, it may make all the difference! That said, I sure don't fault you for testing early. I know the temptation is AWFUL!
I am going to TRY to wait until AF is due. Today is CD 14 for me so I've got a while. We got some BDing in last night and today...that may be our only shot this month. I have not a clue when I O'd or IF I O'd. I have had no O symptoms...in a "normal" cycle (the hypothetical one you learn about in the 8th grade) when, and for how long, are you supposed to have EWCM? Last month I don't remember any... the month before was my 1st off BCP and I had one glob (for lack of a better word) of something clearish and sticky, but it didn't fit the description of what I thought was EWCM.
My neighbor just had her baby Tues and I am designated food courier for them. We go to church together and the ladies always provide about 2 weeks of meals for new moms. We live way out of town but I come through after work every day, so those that don't want to drive all the way out to where we live send their meal through me...good for me, so I can get my baby fix!
Gotta go. Yall have a good rest of the weekend!

REALLY ANNOYED! DH came home on Friday and informed me that he has to go to Dallas for a meeting this coming Friday...of course the day that I am supposed to be O'ing! This sux!!!!! Since I don't chart, I don't really know how long my LP is, but I got a +OPK on day 12 last month (- on day 13) so I figure I o'd on day 12 of a 25 day cycle, which seems to be my average. And just my luck, day 12 is this coming Friday. I am so upset. I am getting really discouraged, but I think that it is mostly because it happened so fast for us with DD. It seems like the fates are out to get us.
OK...venting over.
Good luck to all that are testing this weekend

Oh emermel, don't be too disappointed! The stats are actually in your favor if you BD the day before O. Chances 26% vs. 15% the day of O. Of course that's based on the chart someone posted in the charting thread and I'm not sure what the source is but it must have some validity. :) So keep the faith. I know all to well that it's hard to do but I hope you wake up tomorrow feeling better.

I feel you, emermel. I told DH to tell his boss that she was keeping him from becoming a father! It's frustrating when something like that gets in the way. I do agree with jnshanna, though. You do have a better chance if you BD the day before you O. Those little spermies live for 2-3 days!
Our best friends just announced their pregnancy this morning at church. I already knew about it, but I am just a little down now. I am SUPER excited for them... they are awesome people and will be great parents. I love them dearly and I don't wish that she wasn't pregnant, I just wish I was. We started dating 2 years before them (actually had a hand in getting them together), they got married 6 months before us and now they are preggo before us. We are used to being last, but with this, I just realized that if it doesn't happen quick, our circle of friends will be all but gone. They will all be parents with all the joy and responsibility that comes along with that, and we won't be. We'll be going out to eat on our own on Friday nights, I guess. Ok, there. That's the end of my pity party.
I feel like I can't talk to anyone about it, because I am not the jealous type. My DH says that I tend to obsess about things (I do), besides I don't want to put the pressure on him, like he can do anything about it. You guys are great to have, even if you are in cyber space! Everyone take care!

I bought tests on Friday but haven't tested yet this weekend. I guess I don't want to see a BFN. AF is due Monday-Tuesday at the latest. I don't feel PMSy. My bbs are sore- not like they usually are before AF. But I have had some weird cevrical cramping and I've been a bit irritable (but rationally irritable) Not my usual preAF symptoms but maybe my body is adjusting to being BCP free. We''l see if AF shows this week.

I'm testing tomorrow am!! Can't wait! I'm using an equate test I've had around for a while and the expiration date is 10/05, so I'm sure I won't believe whatever it says, but I have some new EPT's for the next couple of days! ;)

CD 28, 10 DPO, temps still up and still no sign of AF, though I have still been having the spotting/ light bleeding on and off that I have had for the past 5 days (not enough to need more than a pantyliner). This cycle just has been so weird in comparison to the last 5 I've charted. I'll be taking another test in the morning. Couldn't today b/c we spent the night at the ILs and that's all they need to see in the trash!
Morning Update
Another BFN this morning...or actually 2 since I used 2 different tests.
I just don't get it. This cycle is just so weird since compared to the other ones. I'm currently CD 29 and 11 DPO and still spotting like I have been since last Weds! My temps are still elevated and I am not seeing a drop. I've also been having wicked heartburn.
Usually by this time, AF is usually here. The longest cycle I ever had was the 1st month off BCP which was 30 CD and 13 LF, everything else is usually 28-29 days average, 11 day LF average. So if I don't get AF tommorrow, I'll have at least matched my longest cycle. I'll be grabbing some more tests at lunchtime today, but decided if it is still negative by weeks end and no sign of AF, then its time to call the doctor to see what's going on.

Hi ladies,
Any word from those that tested this weekend? Do we have more BFPs before the new thread is started?

Hope there were some BFPs over the weekend!
Tiny vent:
This weekend we went to a party that DH's good friend's parents were also at. The mom asked us when the baby was going to come, because she wants to be a grandmother, and she thinks her son will want to have a baby once we do. SHEESH! Nothing like getting pressure from people who really have nothing to do with the equation!

Well, I got a BFN this am. It was a walmart brand test with an expiration date of 10/05, so I'm not giving up hope yet. If AF doesn't show up, I'll test on again on Wednesday--with a new EPT.
Thanks everyone for the support. Still not AF but after the BFN I have decided to have patience and no more testing. If she shows this week she shows, if she doesn't than by the end of the week I will certainly have a pretty good indicator that it's time to test.:D We will see how long this new zen I've found lasts!

Hey everyone, thanks for the warm welcome.
Mayham, the ferning microscope *seems* to work pretty well. It comes in a little lipstick case. I got it at Walgreens for about $35, which I figured was a better investment than several more months of ovulation sticks. I got ferns on Saturday, so that's a happy thing! It usually happens just one or two days a month, so I assume it's working. We'll see...
Sorry to hear about the BFN's Bellefior, jbemommy & MMK.

Thanks for your support ladies, but in addition to the fact that DH is going out of town, all of us are sick right now. I think that this is 4 out of 5 cycles that we have been sick during my fertile time. ALthough I am probably lying to myself, I am really going to just see what happens. If we DTD, great, if not because we are sick, I am really going to try not to stress about it. I really don't want to give up on this because I really want another baby, but I can't stress out over it.

Sorry about the BFN ladies. I hope they are just BF Neutrals.
How annoying, Mayham!! I really don't understand how people can be that way? They really must be clueless to the fact that it puts unnecessary pressure on the couple. Sheesh! Get a clue people! That's rude!
Well, for me I'm pretty sure my O date is changed to CD 23, which means I'm basically starting my 2WW all over again. Oh well, at least our BD timing is a little bit better based on that day. I'll be leaving tomorrow morning on a business trip so I'll be MIA for the rest of the week unless I get time at the hotel at night to check in. ;)

jnshanna Hope your 2ww goes quickly and you get a BFP in the end. Hope you have a good business trip! :)
Good luck to everyone else who is testing or getting ready to test.
As for me CD27. I am fairly certain that AF is on her way. I was going to buy some tests yesterday at Target but got discourrage in the morning, when I started spotting and having AF cramps. She hasn't come yet, but I would be shocked if she doesn't.
Good luck to everyone else! :)

Sorry about the BFN ladies. I tested and didn't get a BFP either. :(
I can't believe some people mayham. That lady needs to get a life. I hate stupid questions like that. I would have just told her that her son shouldn't have a baby just because someone else is, so she should ask him.
Did I get a BFP this weekend? NO. Did I get a BFN? NO. I took a test and the line in the "control" window came up but the window that was supposed to be either a - sign or a + sign never showed anything. I don't know what that's about. AF hasn't showed up yet and I expected her on Saturday. I am currently CD 31, which is the longest yet. I was going to test this morning but I did start to spot yesterday so I skipped it thinking that AF would show today. She still hasn't arrived. I am only having a little brown spotting (only a few spots on a panty liner) and I am not having any cramps so I am not feeling totally out yet. I have a feeling that AF will be showing up tomorrow though. If AF doesn't show by Thursday I will probably test again. I only have one more test (2 pack) and I don't want to waste it. If I wasn't spotting I would have tested already. What do you ladies think?

Sorry about the BFNs ladies! October began with quite a bang, but is going out rather quietly. The good thing is that you ladies still have time for BFPs if AF hasn't shown up. Good luck and patient waiting to you all.
I feel you, Mayham. Like I said in an earlier post, my best friend IRL just announced to our church (basically our whole circle of friends) that she is expecting... We got all the looks, jabs, "when is it your turn" etc. I told DH that the next time someone says that I should start to cry and make them all feel bad. I know they mean well, but they have no idea how it hurts.
I also found out that a couple in their 40s in our church is "trying" (They have 3 ages 8-15). They are now the 2nd that have had either a visectomy or tubal reversed in order to have more kids. I have had a bad couple of days just dwelling. I don't know if I am Oing or not. I have been checking for and have not noticed any EWCM. What does that mean?

I tested last night (couldn't take waiting anymore) and got a BFN. I am trying to follow MMK in her Zen-like approach to waiting for AF vs. BFP and test later in the week if AF doesn't show.
Sorry to hear about your BFNs and /or AF bellefior, jbemommy and jessied1025! Good luck on the 2WW jnshanna!
