I have converted most of my CD's to MP3's for my new player and am looking for some new tunes. What are some of the websites out there that I can download songs from? I am looking for a good mix of music with no potential for viruses or spyware with a reasonable per song or monthly charge.

Last I knew, MP3.com was doing lots of newer artists. MySpace.com also seems to have lots of individual pages for up and coming bands. If you're looking for more 'established stuff' then perhaps a Peer-to-peer client would work, but I stay as far away from those as possible.
1) Easy way to get a virus.
2) Those things (Napster, WinMX, Limewire, etc) get closed down all the time because they get in trouble with the feds.
3) Unless you're into artists who have made WAY too much off of record sales, you really should want to support good artists as much as possible. Being able to share entire albums in minutes is a real tempting way to weasle a good artist out of a well-earned 13.99. (Of course, I can't possibly feel bad for Puff Daddy losing money on people stealing music.)
