My husband and I are going to a Halloween Poker party. There are going to be a lot of competitions for the best costumes and I need to come up w/ something good.

So far I have thought...

XMen Characters- my dh is big on Xmen
My parents are a socket and plug
Catwoman and Batman

I don't know they seem like fun but I want something cool that DH would like and I can feel hot in.

Last time I was at a costume party the Mr & Mrs Potatoe head won 1st place

But not sure how "hot" you would feel dressed in burlap.

sexy:
Nurse & doctor or Nurse & patient
Male/Female pirates
Hugh Heffner & playboy bunny (or you can dress up as a bunny and he can still be Heff)

I had an Ex who was a fireman and I went as a firefighter and he as my dalmation. I've been trying to get DH for several years now to agree a duo of me as Lady Godiva and him as my horse, but no luck yet!

I think you should take my costume, since my DH insists on going as Stewie from Family guy, again.

We were going to go as Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes. He can just walk around telling people "You don't know the history of psychiatry!" and she just keeps saying "He's so amazing" while wearing a cute dress and high heels.

I tried convincing my dh to dress as Britney and Kevin. He said no way!!

Last year, I went as St. Paulie's Girl and DH went as Samuel Adams. Drinkers might be the only ones who get it though.

I am so excited. We went to the thrift store this weekend and found the best costumes. My husband and I are going as a 80's hairband lead man and a groupie.
I found a cocktail dress that is sequincy and short and strapless that is puffy and I bought blue pumps and black nylons and black lace gloves and I am going to feather my hair and do the make up.
My husband found a long brown rocker wig and a fake snake skin button up shirt and then some trashy black tapered jeans!

I just told one of my coworkers and she is all siked. She's going to go through her jewelry and find some of her old stuff.

It's going to be so much fun!!

Hugh Heffner & playboy bunny (or you can dress up as a bunny and he can still be Heff)

one year he was a magician (cape, top hat, tinfoil wand) and i was a rabbit (white outfit, bunny ears and tail). except everyone at the party kept asking me if i was a playboy bunny and if he was a vampire. hm.

DH and I have a Halloween-themed wedding coming up. Here's a list of ideas he sent me:

Sally & Jack Skellington

Frankenstein and His Bride

Sam Adams and the St. Pauli Girl

Robert Palmer and a Robert Palmer Girl: He wears a suit and carries a microphone. She dresses in a tight, black dress, wears heavy eye shadow, red lipstick, and pale foundation, and slicked-back hair.

Pencil and Eraser

Willy Wonka and an Oompa Loompa (Guess which one of us is which)

Sonny and Cher

Pregnant Mom and the Milkman (Tee hee)

Mario and Luigi: Both wear blue overalls, long sleeve shirts (Luigi wears green and Mario wears red), brown sandals, fake mustaches, and white caps (with M for Mario and L on cap for Luigi).

Exorcist: He dresses like a priest. She messes up her hair and wears green or white face paint and really heavy dark rings round the eyes. Add scars on her face and fake rotten teeth.

A few years ago we went as a boy scout and a brownie (girl scout)

They were super easy and cute. Hit up a thrift store, they had tons of sashes with badges, I got a brown skirt and blouse and the brigt orange tie. Tery wore khakies and a blue button up... found an old bron vest and sewed the patches to it.

Well this isn't exactly "sexy" but last year Curt and I went as ourselves 50 yrs from now...

And then the year before that we went as a Goth couple. This was actually a lot of fun finding things for this costume. We won a prize!

FH and I are going as David and Victoria Beckham. He's going to spike his hair into a little mohawk and wear a Bechkam jersey, big fake diamond studs (they have a magnetized kind), some gaudy rings, necklaces and bracelets, nice jeans, and his indoor shoes. I'm going to draw a winged cross and use a stencil to write Romeo in Old English-style letters on the back of his neck and draw the Roman numeral for seven on his right forearm, to imitate Beckham's tattoos (he has more than that, but that's as far as I trust my artistic ability!).

As for my costume, I found a tight, low-cut white dress with a corset-like front and sequin trim at the mall. It was deeply discounted (everyone's already had Homecoming, I guess). It looks similar to the dress she wore to some awards show a couple years ago, with the added bonus that I get to look a bit slutty (always fun on Halloween!). I bought lots of fake bling - big earrings, bracelets and rings - to wear and I'm going to make my hair big and curly and then pull it back like she had it at that awards show.

One year DH and I went as Bogart and Bergman from the last scene of Casablanca. He wore a trenchcoat and a fedora, and I styled my hair in a 40's style and wore a grey skirt suit with a long skirt and a black hat.

I'm sure you've already picked your costumes but I saw this at Disneyland last weekend for their Halloween event and thought it was great!

Roger and Jessica Rabbit!

My hubby and I decided to be Shrek and Princess Fiona at a party we went to this weekend (he didn't want to wear green paint so I found a mask for him:))
