We are having a party at the end of october and are going to go with an Oktoberfest theme (even though it's a little late).

We want everyone to bring as much beer as they plan to drink and then we are going to put it all together and have "beer tasting". I am having the hardest time trying to figure out how to word this. Please help!

This is what i have so far:

lol

We're having a Beer Tasting on the 29th of October
At the end of the night you will not be sober
So bring as much as you plan to drink
and avoid major brewing companies because that will stink!

LOL, that's hilarious!

Anyway, i fyou don't go with the poem, what you have sounds great (though it does lack a bit in the rhyming department ;) ). Sounds like a fun party!

I think the word you are looking for is "microbrew" or "local microbrew."

Or make some sort of funny joke/ poem about ambers and blondes (types of beers).

"Are you more of an Alaskan Amber or a Dirty Blonde? Bring your favorite microbrew and let us all sample a bit of naughty side."

Or something like "We aren't looking for the King of All Beers. We're looking for his mistresses. Bring your favorite blondes or ambers and who knows you may get lucky!

WOW! Great ideas ladies!

I like the poem IrisHope but i don't think it's what i am looking for. I did laugh though :D

Thanks Sposa06. I hope it turns out to be a fun party. Hopefully it isn't bitter cold outside. We have a fire pit so we hope to do it mostly outdoors. I guess i should add something about dressing for the weather, huh?

Lil_Mrs_0702- I had considered using the word "microbrew" but i don't want to eliminate major foreign beer makers or things like red stripe which aren't necessarily mircrobrews, or is red stripe a microbrew? I like your sayings a lot too but i don't know if everyone will understand  Our friends aren't idiots but you know how some people are... you can be the smartest person in the world but only understand things if they are drawn out clearly.

Thanks - but now i am even more torn! Any other ideas?
