Need a good salad recipe

I'm having my sons birthday party here next week, and I need a good salad recipe. I'm looking for either a lettuce or spinach salad with lots of good ingredients and a great dressing.

My mom does the salad with mandarin oranges. She's done it for years and it's always a hit.

Just eyeball everything.

Lettuce (whichever kind you prefer, spinach is good)

Toasted almonds

chopped green onions

mandarin oranges, drained

Poppysead dressing


My mom uses a particular poppyseed dressing, but it's local. It's better than normal poppysead dressings. You may want to try the T. Marzetti's in its place.

Strawberries are a yummy substitute for the oranges.
