I've been following the other thread on how to make rice pudding and saw that the KozyShack brand was mentioned a few times. Today I decided to buy some. But how do I eat it? Hot? Cold? Alone or with some kind of topping? I've never had rice pudding before so I'd love some recommendations.

My mom used to serve it cold with raisins and cinnamon.

I've had it both ways. My grandmother used to warm it up a little with some honey, as a before bed snack. I think her idea was that warmed up, the rice pudding is supposed to help you sleep (like a warm glass of milk would). It was actually pretty good warm.

If I'm making my own rice pudding, I love to eat a bowl of it warm. If I'm eating it packaged, I'll eat it cold with some cinnamon stirred in.

I second this (well, with the exception that I"ve YET to make it successfully, so I'm thinking back to when my grandmother used to make it - many times, we had it as our dinner, strange as that might sound)

I eat it both ways. In the summer I like it cold. In the fall and winter I warm it up. I just made the allrecipes one on the other thread and I let it get too thick so now I have to warm it up to eat it (with a little bit of milk) otherwise it's way too solid.

My MIL makes it all the time. We eat it cooled (not always all the way cold) with some milk and sugar. She puts lots of cinnamon and rasins in it, so we don't have to add that.

This happens to me every time I make it!
I like mine warm, just off the stove, but FH likes it cold with cinnamon.

Katie- I eat it warm with cinnamon and sugar on top and chopped walnuts and a cherry.
DH will eat it hot, cold, lukewarm, and all the temperatures in between! :)
