Are there two seasons per year?
I am without a clue in this area, so please indulge me! When are the tv seasons?
For instance, The Apprentice is supposed to be in season 4 or 5 and I am wondering where all the time went...

I think typically each season is September-May--this applies to traditional sit coms and dramas.
I think shows like Survivor and Apprentice call each cycle of their show a "season" because they usually do not run as long as regular shows and sometimes start in Jan or the fall. So for example, IIRC, the "first season" of Apprentice aired Jan-May of 2004. Then the "second season" started fall 2004. So it doesn't quite match up with the traditional network season.

Thanks, Polarama
That makes sense.
It's amazing that Oprah has been on for 20 "full" seasons... wow.
