Kris97 - I am pretty sure that those sets are available thru Babies R Us. I just checked their site and they were on there. They are just out of stock. Hopefully they will come in again because when the time comes I really want to get the star light set. It says they will be back in stock. :D

Kaeden's Mom - Where is the third set you posted in post #10 from? I love that one too and it can be my backup for starlight if it isn't around when I need it (well if I am having a girl).

I wouldn't change my baby girl's nursery for anything, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE the lambs! :) I went overboard with my pink thing, but green would've been my second choice(or first choice if I'd had a boy maybe??)...All of the bedding is SO cute though!

Does PBK still carry the Under the Sea bedding? I saw it earlier in the spring but now I can't find it in the catalog or online. I love it and will be bummed if they don't carry it anymore.

Hi Kathy- Yup they still sale it. I think they have more to chose from in the store but it is on line as well. We bought the crab pillow, wallies, valance and bed skirt on line a few months back which I didn't see pics of on line but I didn't scroll down to see if they listed them for sale. I will see if i can get you the link to PBK.

ETA: When we bought ours they had some stuff on back order so we bought the bumper and sheet in store and ordered the rest of it. It is super cute!

Thanks! I will check it out. When we get pg we are going to try really hard to wait and be surprised on the sex of the baby. So I am looking for bedding that can go either way, which I am finding to be rather difficult. I am pretty particular about what I like.

This is the other one I am seriously considering.

Unfortunately it's no longer on the www.PotteryBarnKids.com website, so i'm guessing it was discontinued.

We went with green because the paint on the walls was already "girly" enough....so we didn't want to go overboard ;)

UTChick -
We have the Room with A Zoo from Babystyle - it is so adorable in person. The website makes it look darker than it is. It's actually very bright, yellows, reds, greens, oranges.

I can't wait to get our nursery started in the next few months!!! I already have the paints picked out and everything!!

The Future~

The colors are brighter in person? How bright? I am an earth-tone kind of person and like how it looks on the website. Have you taken any pics of the bedding? If so, would you mind posting them? Also, did you order it online or is there a store somewhere that carries it? That way I could see it in person before buying it. Sorry to shower you with so many questions...

Edited to make sense of a nonsense sentence

Here is the bedding I ordered. It arrived and isn't exactly like the picture. The peach is so light that it really looks beige. We are going to paint the walls a darker peach to try and bring out the color. I'm also having a hard time finding a wallpaper border that matches.

jh124 I love the puppy dog crib set...so cute. Where did you find it?

We are going to start TTC this October, however, I can't get enough at looking at nursery themes. I have my heart set on doing the room in puppies. I would like to go with something more neutral, since we are both set on not finding out the sex of the baby.

sublime311/kelli - I also love that chenille set you posted, I remembered seeing it in my search and thought about getting it...looks SO soft doesn't it? Post Tots has some GREAT stuff, but whoa$$ My furniture guy actually said he could get some of the SAME stuff as places like PT & PB for cheaper because it's not THIER stuff....I couldn't believe the price difference, and just because of their names! This weekend DH and I came across a set that we really liked, but this morning I can NOT find it anywhere online. (Doesn't help that we don't remember the exact name). If anyone has any idea what I'm talking about and knows where to find a photo, it would be greatly appreciated.

It was a 6 piece set by Kidsline (found at Baby Depot) with sheep and chickens. It was done in greens and browns and was $169.95. OH, and it has the word "clover" in the style name. ~~~ yet it cannot be found :p

Any ideas? I've checked dreamtime baby, babyage, baby bedding town, baby depot, nursery depot, and any others I came across...*sigh*

mimieliza, PBK Barnyard Friends is adorable! I'd get it, but I can't justify spending money on it when I already have this practically pristine Beatrix Potter set:

http://img5.ranchoweb.com/images/padme_amidala/cribset1.jpg

The set was DD's, and I have an extra quilt because DS used it on his toddler bed. But if I didn't still have it, or it wasn't in such good shape, I'd be all over Barnyard Friends. :)

ETA: This set will be used with my old crib at my parents' house. We've bought a new crib and bought PBK bedding in a "girly" pattern.

Here's the gender neutral, at least IMHO, bedding that we ordered from www.Babybox.com. It's made by Warthhog Way. It's quite a splurge, especially considering that my own bedding comes from the clearance table at TJ Maxx, but I just fell in love with this bedding.

http://server2.ihostphotos.com/imgt/56752.jpg (http://server2.ihostphotos.com/show.php?id=56752)

We will be painting the walls white below the chair rail and in a green to match the bedding above the railing. We will be stenciling elephants and giraffes in red and white above the railing. I want a safari theme without going overboard. We are also getting a red rug and red curtains.

OK, PB gurus, I'm hoping somebody will recognize this pattern and help me with this. :)

I won this quilt and bumper on eBay, but the seller doesn't ship till Thursday and she hasn't answered my email yet. I need to know the name of the pattern and also what the reverse fabric color is, especially for the bumper (so I can have the back facing in and match the sheet to it). It looks like it may be green gingham, but I'm not sure. Or it may be that the back is white and only the piping is green.

http://img5.ranchoweb.com/images/padme_amidala/cribset.jpg

TIA :)

ETA: I had just posted this when I got an email from the seller. The back of the bumper is white, and she says she used both pink and green gingham sheets. I think I'll go with green because it'll be more soothing and promote sleep, and I'll get a pink/green/pink layered look on the outside of the crib. :)

If anyone knows the name of the pattern, though, I'd appreciate it. I'd like to see if I can find any more pieces, and knowing the name would really help.

I recently bought the Pink Bermuda bumper and crib skirt (http://www.potterybarnkids.com/products/s460/index.cfm?pkey=xsrd0m1%7C16%7C%7C%7C1%7C%7C%7C%7C% 7C%7C%7Cbermuda&cm%5Fsrc=sch) b/c it was on sale, and the bumper was crap. we also have the chamois blanket (http://www.potterybarnkids.com/products/pk460/index.cfm?pkey=cbdgbln%7Cb) and at $29, it's one of the best baby purchases I've made! SO soft, and warm.

(and btw, you don't want your crib bumpers to be super soft, thick, and padded - it can be a suffocation risk for young babies).

Okay...so I had ordered the WalMart bedding set a while back, it had the Dwell-ish appeal to it. It is only available online and it looks super cute. After the hassle of my order being delayed THEN cancelled since they didn't have a shipping date, WalMart still put my order through  So I just went ahead with the order.

http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=4888333

Well I just picked it up and what a waste of time  I should've known but wanted to see if it actually was that cute in person. NOPE! Totally NOT worth $79.99 IMO, which is still pretty cheap for bedding.
Here it is next to the Amy Coe (target) bedding:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v514/alohadee/bedding009.jpg

The color is BLAH....
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v514/alohadee/bedding012.jpg

The tulip color is actually pink & stems and stripes are a weird purple NOT a brown. The white/cream/beige is a funky yucky yellowish/brownish white. So needless to say I'm keeping my cheapo $9.99 target clearance bedding that has true colors on it. :p

Just wanted to vent & share. Thanks!

I have no experience with it, but I am pretty sure I've seen it online elsewhere. Search for it on Froogle and you may find other stores that sell it.

skb- I have the Brandee Danielle "Bee My Baby" set. It's similar to the Wendy Bellisimo line at Babies R Us. I like the look of it a bit better. I don't know much about quality difference between the two.

I ordered mine from jcpenney.com. It was the same price (didn't have all the "extras" though- just the set, the valances, and a lamp.) I thought returns would be easier from jcpenney b/c I could take it back to the store-not have to ship. Now that I know I like it, I'll probably order some extras from an online retailer. JcPenney had a few of the Brandee Danielle sets.

I love my sons Brandee Daniel crib set. No issues with it (other than it took forever to get it but that was a freak occurence because of some damaged product they had received).

The set at the time was also available on another site, but I can't remember the site & it's bookmarked on my old laptop that I can't power on right now (sorry :( ).. but I don't think they normally carried it & I usually only see her bedding on Baby Supermall.

rancid, that is my all time favorite bedding set if we ever have a boy. If we have a girl, I'm going super girly. :p Anyway, I've never seen a picture of an actual nursery with this set. Do you have pics? Or could you stear me to your post, if you posted pics in the post your nursery thread. I'd love to see it.

This was posted several months ago, but I finally got the nursery all set up, so here are some real-life pictures of the Cocalo Turtle Bay bedding set, in case you're still interested.

I love it -- it's much prettier in real life than the pictures on the internet.

jjohm - I think I like more modern sets? I may end up getting a gender neutral set b/c many of the girls ones are too pastel or cutesy for me. I like pink but not too pale. Your bedding is beautiful, but I prefer pink over lavender.

KeliAnn - LOVE the turtle bedding! I might have gone with something like that when I was planning my son's nursery if I had seen it.

Chris~n~Jen - I adore that fish print from Walmart too! Again something I probably would have considered when I was planning too if I had known about it.

We are fortunate enough to live near the Land of Nod outlet, so my son's room is the Land of Nod "Womb with a View" print. It's much more colorful in person than it looks here:

MarriedaGoalie, I love your nursery! What bedding is that?

Not pregnant yet, but I recently started collecting bedding that I like. I'm hoping for another boy, but am strangely drawn to girly bedding...hmmm... My tastes are really different this time around, too. I want something more modern looking. I did the Target Classic Pooh set for DS' nursery in 2005. I loved it at first, but as he got older, it just seemed so baby-ish to me. Now he has a transportation theme in our new house which I like better and suits him more. I'm learning from that and picking a set this time that we can keep through the toddler years! I may even attempt to make something myself if I learn how to sew by then (I'm taking a sewing class this month). Anyway, here are some that I like that I saved:

jenji What a cool nursery. I love the design and color. The monogram on the bumper is a neat idea.

Now that I'm pg with #2 i'm torn about the coming baby's nursery. With DD, we decided to not find out the gender so the nursery was was not painted, and we went with an animal themed/sage green color set. We will be finding the gender with this baby and I'm wondering if I should invest in a sex-appropriate nursery stuff or just save $$ and re-use DD's stuff.

At any rate, I appreciate all the ideas here. I love looking at cute nurseries. :)

Can anyone recommend a place where I can find individual pieces of crib bedding rather than sets? Since we can't actually put the bumper and quilt in the crib, we'd prefer to buy just the skirt and fitted sheet-- but I'd still like a cool pattern/design, not just a solid. I've been searching but haven't turned up any good options yet. Any ideas?

Rosebud - you could also buy fabric and hire a seamstress (pretty easy to find in L.A.) to make a dust ruffle and crib sheets. It shouldn't be too expensive because both of those items are super easy to make so wouldn't take too much time. For fabric, check out F&S Fabric on Pico, near the Westside Pavillion.
