Denny is a guy with congestive heart failure who connected with Izzie when he was in the hospital before.

Oh, so he is a former patient of hers and nothing more? The way they were giving eyes at each other, it seemed as though they were once lovers or something! Or at least dating ;)

Is next week's episode a rerun of the "Into You Like a Train"? I remember Meredith saying in that episode "how do you decided who lives and who dies?"
Same line, but different episode. In the preview, George tells Izzy that Meredith may have a sister she doesn't know about. Is that considered a spoiler if it's in the preview?
To clear it up:: Next week is the rerun of, I assume, the train episode. Regardless of which episdoe, it's a rerun from this season. The conversation btwn George and Izzy is a preview for the next new episode in two weeks.

I missed it last night...can someone recap the show???
what bet??
what happened with Christina and Burke?
Why is George gettin' screamed at?
Thanks!!!!
See, and I hated that part. I'm not into the "I grew up in a trailor park so I know how to kick your a$$..." crap. Come on - you're an adult. You don't get to kick and scream to get your way.
I liked it because Christina acts so tough but she backed down to Tinkerbell. It annoyed me that she made a big deal about Burke wanting his cap. If he wants it, let him have it. I get that she was trying to say that he was a great surgeon and didn't need it but she needs to relax once in a while.

I watched Sunday night's episode last night on TiVo...I was totally crying at the end when Denny woke up....it was so touching! And I can't believe how RUDE Alex was to George...Poor George. And I find "friendly" Addison annoying.

Denny and Izzie are annoying me....she is really crossing a line here and I know Alex is a jerk but he makes some good points

I loved this episode!
My feeling about the Denny/Izzie thing is that she fell for him when he was first there, because he's a good looking guy! She wasn't attached to anyone at that time, then he came back into her life, and it hit her how much she really liked him.....oh, and her and Alex were just "sleeping together." I think her and Alex definitely had feelings for each other, his much more strong than hers, but I think when she saw Denny again, it hit her what a great guy he was/is. As far as she knows anyway!
I loved the Alex and George confrontation, yep, he said all those things that pissed everyone off (and were very true!)....but, it was exactly what George needed to get his butt in gear and realize its officially over between him and Meredith (although there really was only a one-sided affair anyway).
I also hate the "nice" Addison, it's annoying as heck! Love how Meredith throws away the cup of cocoa, both times! :D McDreamy stays that way....I just want to........hmmm, I probably shouldn't say! :p
I loved Izzy and her comments about being raised in a trailer park, and the look on Christina's face! I also loved the interaction between her and Burke, and the surgical cap. She's right, he doesn't need it, but because of the superstitions he holds, he was totally lost without one of his own, and had a lot of self-doubt in his abilities.
The twists and turns, and the stories that come out in each episode just keep me wanting more! This week the Chief as an alcoholic?? Next week with Meredith having a sister? It just keeps being a great show!
Oh, and Miranda........I just love her! She stays strong and bossy! I have to disagree with a lot of you on her bringing her baby to work. We have babies almost everyday at my work, and even the doctors bring in their kids. I understand that a surgeon might be a bit different, but it's still her job, she's still breastfeeding, and needs to be near her child, plus has bills to pay, even if she'd been out 6 weeks with leave, she'd be going back to work while still breast feeding. You do what you have to do. I will definitely agree with those that said something about her DH, I think the writers missed the brain surgery when they wrote this episode, because no way would he have been anywhere but home, recovering. Big OOOps, on their part with that show.
All in all, I love this show every week, and wait for the next week for it to be on again! Just wish I had Monday's off, so I could watch it when it's actually on, Sunday nights.
Can't wait for the next new show!

Alex=so arrogant! And such an adolescent boy! One of the reasons I love this show is that this totally fits with him having been a wrestler.
And yet another reason to love this show--in the opening Meredith voice-over she talked about how at her college there was a statue whose nose everyone rubbed for good luck...Meredith supposedly went to Dartmouth (where I also went) and indeed--there is a statue in the building where students get their mail whose nose is gold and shiny for having been rubbed so many times.
Incidentally, Shonda Grimes (creator of the show) went to Dartmouth also. I liked that she included that little detail and that I could pick it out.

I read a spoiler on Chat with Kristin on E Onilne, and wanted to make my prediction as to what will unfold, so read on if you want to find out what it is.
SPOILER BELOW!!!
SPOILER!!!
Chat with Kristin said that one of the main characters is going to be revealed as bi-sexual when their same-sex partner is introduced. Given Alex's hyper-masculinity rant v. George, I really think it's going to be him. I think that difficulties accepting his attraction to men could manifest in overcompensating with both sex (i.e., sleeping with so many women) and appearing masculine (i.e., his tirades re: being a "man"). Wouldn't that be an interesting twist?
Alex was such an ass in this episode. DH was cheering for Denny to die the whole time because he thought Izzie's behavior was inappropriate. So mean.
i kinda thought the same way. :o it's almost painful to watch her with denny bc she could be jeapordizing her career. she has come so far in her life to be where she is, and it is killing me that she is letting her feelings over some guy potentially ruin it all.

Cactus, we have a statue at my university (Texas A&M) that students rub the foot of and leave pennies for luck. Good tradition! It's always covered around midterms, finals and graduation (I left a penny or two there myself!) His foot is completely gold from years of rubbing.

SPOILER DISCUSSION BELOW
From Watch with Kristin on E:
Question: Okay, spill it, girl. Who's bisexual?
Answer: Sweetie, we'd need a monthlong chat to answer that one (I need a good hour alone to discuss a certain someone who'll star in a forthcoming Blind Riddle on the message boards). But if you're talking about Grey's Anatomy, I will say this: (1) It's an intern; (2) it's probably already rewritten; and (3) here's a snippet of a recent convo with Justin Chambers (Alex)...
Q: On Grey's, I hear one of the characters is gonna be bisexual.
A: I don't know. I'm sure it's gonna happen. I'm sure.
Q: I could see Alex being the guy!
A: It's possible.
On this show, anything's possible. You know, the show is about relationships, and it's about these young professionals trying to come to terms with the people they're involved with, where they're coming from. You know, it started out with them all being really competitive, but it's a hard job to be an intern in a hospital, and it's gonna be interesting to see where the relationships might go.
How's that for a prime example of talking without saying anything?

I don't hate Addison. There are two sides to every argument, and we probably haven't seen all sides. Granted, that doesn't mean it's right to cheat, but I'm sure we don't have the whole story yet. What if he cheated on her once and we don't know about it yet?

I agree there are two sides to every story. BUT...I don't think that he cheated on her, only because of the episode when Mere was Addison's intern and the patient was treating Mere badly b/c she'd overheard some of the situation and thought that Mere was sleeping with Addison's husband. Remember Addison's speech to her? About how it wasn't Mere who'd been cheating, it was she who'd cheated on her husband? I also think if he'd cheated, it would have come out in some other way. Why would she let him "not forgive her" or work so hard to get him back if he'd done it to her as well?
But...I definitely don't hate Addison's character (I do have to question why she'd put up with his obvious non-love for her anymore when she has a hot, hot, hot man in McSteamy waiting for her!! ;) ), and I agree their marriage was probably in trouble way before the affair.
I actually like Addison's character a lot. I think they have gone out of there way to show McDreamy as a less than desirable husband to her. He ignores her and treats her poorly. Cheating is not right, but I think they are trying to show that more is going on like DiscoDiva said.

Like I was saying before my crying began, Izzie is really pissing me off. She needs to just get over it and stop being so judgemental of Mere. Not saying what Mere did was right, but Izzie hasn't made the best choices either. "Choosing sides" is just so junior high-ish. And, I thought it was a bit crappy of her to say "OMG...George is her McDreamy" right when it was obvious that Mere was upset about her dad. Can you be any more insensitive?
I have to say, it was a bit harsh for Alex to say all that stuff to the mom, but she needed to hear it from someone. And, it definitely worked (thus, all of my sobbing tears).
Cristina...holy shit. I was so glad that put that scene right after the mom/daughter scene. It was definitely what we needed. I went from crying (out loud) to laughing (out loud) in about 2 seconds!
I'm really liking this ortho chick and George. I was beginning to not like George for the last few weeks, and I hope that he is able to grow up and she seems like she could definitely make a man out of him! :D
Mere and her knitting at the end killed me. So funny! I almost didn't recognize Chris O'Donell (sp?). Definitely no McDreamy, but cute none the less! ;)
What else??? It'll be interesting to see where all this goes with Mere and her dad. I felt so bad for her when her sister was talking about him and how great of a dad he was. Mere just looked so sad. I thought George was great when he was talking to her dad.
And, last but not least...previews for the next episode (4 weeks away...grrr)...BLAH. I really...really...really don't want to see McDreamy and Addison getting it on! http://www.kenandkeli.com/images/smilies/puke.gif

Callie - kinda weird, living in the hospital like that.

I read somewhere on TWoP that the next new episode after tonight isn't until April 30th. My assumption would be that they have to drag it into May for May sweeps. The Season Finale is May 14/15.
WAIT...does that mean we only have 3 more weeks of this season??? April 30th, May 7th, and May 14th! But, the finale *is* three hours, so I guess that helps, but still! Seems like this season has flown by!
Mere and her knitting at the end killed me. So funny! I almost didn't recognize Chris O'Donell
I know, I did a double take. I had read a spoiler a while back about him being a love interest for Izzy but dismissed when they brought back Denny so I was so happy to see him even if it's for Meredith. I hope he sticks around for a while. He's so cute. Maybe Addison can hook up with and Meredith can go back to McDreamy. :)

The whole livivng in the hospital thing was just weird. I mean, what hospital is gonna let you move in you bed, fridge, tv...and just use a back storage room. And she is weird. Who actually LIVES at a hospital. That throws up a whole lotta red flags for me. The girl is addicted to her work and can't even sleep anywhere else.
Some of the lines tonight were priceless, but my absolute fave was christina at the end. "Bakc to basics". Damn, i was laughing so hard.

Last night's ep was great! Cristina "going back to basics" was awesome, and I loved how Burke yelled at George to get out. :D
I did think Alex was a little harsh, but it works for him and seems to get the patients thinking and acting.
That was Chris O'Donell??? I had NO idea! Wow...he was looking pretty cute last night (and I don't normally like him). ;) It will be interesting to see if this goes anywhere.
I think it's weird that Cali lives in the hospital as well, and just a bit far-fetched. I did like though how Izzy called George her McDreamy. :)

I think mrs_pell pretty much covered everything... ;)
But the woman who had cancer was the actress from the Roseann show (she played her sister... used to love that show!). That storyline was really sad and well written. I thought the Vet looked like Chris O'Donnell (couldn't remember his name other than Robin from Batman)
I am confused.. why is Meredith not speaking with her father? Because he decided to leave when he realized his wife was addicted to work and having an affair with the Chief? And she spent the entire day avoiding him?? I am just getting a little tired of Meredith's character (since she seems to be the narrator)
The scene with Mr. Grey & the Chief standing in front of the board was also well written. I felt sorry for Mr. Grey - it really looked like he was disappointed that his first marriage did not work out.
And Cristina is absolutely hillarious... what a wayto end the show on a funny note... lol!

Her dad left and didn't have any contact with her for 20 years. That pretty much would be a reason to hate/avoid someone. her mom cheated yet Mere gets shafted as well.

I didnt realize that was Chris! I did know it was Jackie from Rosanne though. I never thought she was a very good actress, but she did great last night!
njdiva, from what I gathered, it seemed like meredith's mom wouldnt let her dad see her, but she didn't realize that and thought he just walked out on them until she heard her dad and omalley talking.
ETA: Next week is the pregnant guy:
Sunday, April 9th at 10/9c.
Something To Talk About
Cristina, Izzie and Meredith aggressively pursue the case of Shane, a male patient who seems to have a hysterical pregnancy, which fascinates them and the entire medical staff; and a sheltered young patient inspires Alex to better express his feelings for Izzie.

4 weeks??!!
I looked at tvguide.com that only has 2 weeks ahead and yes, next week is a repeat from November and then on Easter they have 'What About Brian' (the new show with the oldest brother Matt from 7th Heaven). We don't care about a new show now! Put it on another night!
Last night's show was great!
Bailey has really slimmed down since having the baby (seeing that the actress had her baby in October I think)
I was trying to tell DH the whole deal with Meredith and her father and her mother and her mother thinking George is her father when she's dellusional (good job at finding an actor that does look like George) and the Chief and all...he was getting so lost!
So does George now realize that the night he and Meredith were together may have been the same night she went to see her dad and that could explain her actions? I was hoping he'd go back to the house instead of finding Callie in her secret living quarters.

Meredith's stepsister said she was 22 and had an older sister in med school. So how long has Meredith not had contact with her Dad or did he have another family before he left.
TazLuv
04-03-2006, 10:59 AM
Islandbride25, my DH and I had that same thought. But if Meredith is an intern she has to be at least 26 or 27 assuming she was 18 when she graduated HS, 4 years of undergrad and 4 years of medical school. If the older sister is in medical school you can assume she is 23-25. So he probably started this family right after they seperated, it sounds like his 2nd wife was very aware of what Meredith's mom did to him.

I was really hoping for George to put 2+2 together to figure out what might have happened with Meredith and her dad. And, to be honest, I don't know if I'd want to hook up with my dream person if I looked like his mother. Can you say Edipus/Elektra complex? (Okay, totally spelled that wrong!)

Her dad left and didn't have any contact with her for 20 years. That pretty much would be a reason to hate/avoid someone. I haven't spoken to my dad in 20 years and I feel the exact same way towards him. I don't blame her at all for feeling like she does. And that probably has a HUGE impact on the way she acts with other men. I don't like everything Mer does but I do sort of understand why she is the way she is.
I like Addison a lot. I wasn't a fan of her at the beginning, but she's growing on me. She's trying to move on past things; I thought the bar scene at the beginning was really cute. I don't think he cheated but I do think he ignored her a lot (see the episode re the Catherine Denevue resemblance == sorry I don't know the episode name but it aired 2 weeks ago). So does George now realize that the night he and Meredith were together may have been the same night she went to see her dad and that could explain her actions? I was hoping he'd go back to the house instead of finding Callie in her secret living quarters.
I was totally thinking that! I really really hope that George does put two and two together because I HATE how everytime he sees her he gets up and moves away. But I LOVED when he was saying all of those nice things about her to her dad. :D
I didn't really think it was THAT weird for Callie to be living in the hospital but I hope that she will move out and she and George get an apartment or something.

Actually a spoiler of a spoiler. From Kristen:
That bisexual storyline? NOT gonna happen. At least not this season. That’s what I’m told. The storyline was apparently changed.

As for Mere's age, I believe that she is a bit older than some interns would be. I read somewhere (probalby TWoP) that somewhere it's been said that she took some time off after undergrad before med school, and that she's assumed to be in her early 30s.

No one has mentioned so I am wondering if I heard things wrong but didn't Mere's father tell George that her mother keep Mere away from him? It was during the conversion where George was "covering" for Mere.
I think George did put 2 and 2 together. I loved it when Addision told him not to slack off and he just blurted everything out and ended with "God must hate me." Very George-ish.
My favorite was the beginning. With them in the bar. Reminds me why I love this show so much.

Do any of y'all listen to the podcasts that they put out? These things are pretty funny and give you some insight into the characters and the storylines. I highly recommend. If you have Tivo and you got the new upgrade with all the Yahoo stuff you can listen to them from there.

Ok. 4/30 is *this* Sunday. I hope GA is ON! Regarding "What About Brian" (I know there's a separate thread on this) - I caught the first 2 episodes and thought they were good. Not nearly as good as GA but good enough for me to Season Pass them.

Goodness, I love this show! The past 4 weeks I've been watching (and loving) Big Love on HBO and thinking I might switch my Sunday night loyalty then I decided to watch Grey's tonight and I'm so happy I did... thank goodness HBO has reruns all week or it would have been a really tough decision!!!
COD looks HOT!!! And birthing a horse on a first date? I have to give it to the show's writers--that was quite original and I liked the "moment" they shared after the birth. This episode really made me like Meredith again.
And the look on McDreamy's face was priceless... I bet he's going to try and make Meredith feel bad about it though HE is the married one AND he is the one who chose to stay with his wife!!! Can't wait for next episode!!!!!!

Because he's an ass?? He was pissed at Addison for making him be with her on a "vagina" case, didn't agree with her lying about the "complication," so he basically just ratted her out. Like I said, he's an ass.

Seriously, Burke is the only guy I am liking on this show. Alex is such a freakin creep. Man, I cussed him out tonight! :o If Derrick seriously makes her feel bad for moving on. What a jerk. He can only have good sex with his wife if it's mental revenge against meredith. Ugh. And, George is kinda bugging me, too, which is so sad, since I have loved him up until now. I don't like Callie, either. She's known George a few weeks, max, and acts like she's the only one who knows him or cares about him. What am I going to do when this show is over for the season? I just love it. I even love the bad things about it.
Alex - WTF?? While I think the show needs a "villian", I don't like him. He had no right to tell the husband to get a lawyer. I totally agreed with Addision's decision. After the woman is her patient not the husband. And IMO, Alex would have been kicked out of the program if he did that IRL.
Derek - If he really calls Mer that next week, I will lose all respect for him. I love Mer and Derek together but she doesn't deserve to be with someone who will call her that.
Mer and McVet - Love them together. What an amazing first date. As much as I like Mer with Derek, I hope something happens with McVet.
So if I calcute right, there are only 3 shows left. :(

Jayne Brooke (siezure lawyer) – She's been around forever. The last major role I remember as one of the Drs on Chicogo Hope. IMDB has a lot of recent credits for her though.
--------
McDreamy may not have a "right" to be angry with Meredit, but given the complicated emotions/situation I totally get why he feels that way. You can see how this sitch has the potential to be a catalyst for him to make a absolute decision on how he feels/what he's going to do about Addison.

George has the absolute worst hair ever. That haircut was atrocious. He looked 7.
The scene with him and Izzy arguing was cute, he blames her for pushing him to go after Meredith. How could he have not seen Meredith was still emotionally attached to McDreamy.
I could see Bailey turning back into the "Nazi", she's been a little soft recently and with the chief questionning her job ability will cause her to become more of a hard-azz.

I am not good at recaps but I found this on http://www.televisionwithoutpity.com/story.cgi?show=162&story=9222&limit=&sort=
McDreamy and Addison have been having the worst sex ever, and they don't know what to do about it. Derek's newest patient just happens to be a divorce lawyer who picks up on his marital strife and offers her services. She also happens to have a seizure disorder, and Izzie and George have lots of fun thinking up ways to trigger a seizure, so McDreamy can map her brain and see where to operate. Video games, espresso shots, and donuts don't do it; the woman finally falls out when Izzie and George get into a huge argument about their friendship/Callie/whatever right in front of her. Burke's patient is some kind of violin legend named Eugene Foote, who claims his new pacemaker is ruining his rhythm. Burke agonizes over whether to remove it in a risky procedure, or refuse to do the surgery, rendering Mr. Foote alive but rhythmless. In the end, he operates, resulting in Mr. Foote's death. Oops. The good thing about this is that it causes Cristina to act all sweet and supportive and considerate for once in her life.
Meanwhile, Addison and Alex battle it out over a patient who is pregnant with her seventh child; the woman's husband is a devout Catholic, and thus opposed to birth control, but she is not about to have another baby. She asks Addie to perform a tubal ligation without her husband's knowledge, which Addison does. She also stupidly lies in her report, claiming the result of the ligation was a surgical complication. Alex takes offense, and hints around to the husband that he needs to get a lawyer. Everything goes to hell, and Addison could be in big trouble. In retaliation, Addie requests that Alex be assigned to her for an indefinite period of time. I believe the words she uses are, "Your ass is mine, Karev." Awesome.
Meredith runs into cutie McVet again while she's checking on Doc, and he (McVet, not the dog) asks her out on a date. She turns him down at first, then shows up later at his office to accept. McVet takes her on an "errand" to birth a horse, then they go back to his house for food and making out but definitely not sex. Of course, this is when McDreamy shows up with another Doc-related emergency, sees Meredith there, gives her a look that could kill, and runs home to have "hot" revenge sex with Addison, which is totally gross.
In more boring news, Bailey is still upset with Webber for mommy-tracking her, and Magical Heart Patient Denny is still alive, try as he might to drop dead.
I was so annoyed with McDreamy for being cold to Meredith-what's she supposed to do just sit and pine for him.
And I feel really bad for Addison. She tries to help that woman and she gets repaid by having a malpractice case brought against her. Although truthfully Alex should have to admit that he witnessed the conversation between Addison and the patient-the one where she asked that Addison tie her tubes. Alex might have told the husband that he could get a lawyer, but ethically he needs to tell the truth about what he heard.

Ok...so this is going to be admitting how much of a dork [addicted dork] that I am, but what the hell...
I've been thinking about this whole McDreamy reaction, and retaliation "hot sex," and the apparent [very bad] name calling next week. I was pretty pissed about it last night, thinking that he had no right whatsoever to be mad at her. I still don't think that he has a "right," but I get where he's coming from, and think that it will end up being somewhat "healthy" in his dealing with the obvious: he isn't over Mere, as much as he may want to believe that he is, and his "marriage" is over. McDreamy and Mere really haven't had a big blowup about this whole thing, and there really needs to be. Next week, there's obviously (hopefully?) going to be a big fight (remember the words of the divorce attorney? "You only fight like that with the ones you love?")...one that should have happened a long time ago in order to get all those feelings "out there" instead of just pretending to be "friends."
NOW...I don't want Mere to just go running back to him once he realizes that his marriage is over and he still loves Mere. I can't believe that I'm going to say this, but I really like her and McVet together, even if it is just for a while. She seemed genuinely happy last night, for the first time, since, oh...Addy showed up? I want her to grow as an individual first, and then eventually end up with McDreamy. McDreamy needs to come to terms with his own situation first, and then maybe feel a little of what Mere has, so he can respect a little more what she has gone through.
OK...so, now we all know what a complete dork I am by admitting that I have thought about this so much! ;) As I read back what I wrote, you'd swear I'm talking about *real* people, here! :o

Addison definitely knew Alex had something to do with her getting in trouble for the "extra" procedure she had done on that 7x preggo woman. I don't care for his character but not alll MDs are saints so I think he does add to the show - if nothing else, it's fun to see him get butchered by the likes to Addison.
I do not think McDreamy and Mere will ever truly get back together again. In fact, I am tiring of that storyline. I like Mere and McVet together.

I dunno. But I do know that Addison is going to be in trouble. If she wrote that the tubal lugation was a "complication" in her files, but it was intentional, I am pretty sure that's illegal, even if they woman wanted her to do it. I think it could be insurance fraud, too.

That's what I was wondering too. Seems like insurance companies would frown on classifying a tubal lugation as a complication of a c-section...
That being said, Alex was pretty sh!tty to say the things he said to that woman, her husband and to Addison.

Since everyone was talking about where they saw the seizure atty (sorry didn't catch the name), did anyone notice who the mom w/ seven kids was? It was Jean Louisa Kelly, who is on Yes Dear (something I don't watch) but was also the teenage girl who sang "Someone to Watch Over Me" in Mr. Holland's Opus (something I did watch).
As an aside, I think her character is very selfish. She kinda told Addison that this little lie won't get her in trouble because she has malpractice insurance and she's a good dr so people will still go to her. That may be true but did she think that once this malpractice suit hits, the medical board won't revoke Addison's license to practice? Usually when you're hit w/ those kind of lawsuit, the medical board will begin their disciplinary hearings (what Addison did was unethically on paper -- remember the woman asked off the record and it wasn't recorded that she wanted her tubes tied. If she was in a trial, she's not gonna admit that she requested the procedure either). Anyway, can't wait to see how this story will play out. Very interesting!

I think ABC sunday night ratings have suffered a bit since the premiere of sopranos/big love so if they think ratings will go up on monday night for greys anatomy, they might move it (even if they are owned by the same parent, they have no reason to feel obligated to ESPN and besides they may couch it as going after the female demo that does not watch MNF as much).

I already have Medium on Monday nights! I am glad however that my DH hates football (unless the Seahawks make the super bowl again, yeah we're fair-weather fans! :D ) then I don't have a conflict as long as my DVR tapes 2 shows at once. Either way, I can't watch it until the next day anyway.
I just need to say that McVet is seriously fabulous eye candy! Boy Wonder he'll always be....but DAAAAAAAMMMMNN with that facial hair, he's turning this old broad on very nicely! :D I think he's giving McDreamy a run for his money!
I hate the Addison story line, but nothing would make me happier than to see her give Alex crap for a few weeks. He's a creep! It's going to be trying on her with a malpractice suit, but it's tv, and we know she'll end up the winner, especially with her tv reputation...she's the best, she'll win in the long run. At least thats MHO.
My DH had on sci-fi the other day (actually everyday! ) but it had that show Roswell on it. There was Izzy with dark brown hair. I think she looks much better as a blonde. I am glad that her and George are going to be friends again, and that he felt he could bring his new girlfriend into the friendship too. His haircut, yeah, still bad. Oh, and Denny, he's another one that makes me swoon, he's another handsome one!
Miranda is just great, she kills me, and I love her character and can't wait for her to give the Chief more crap!
Christina and Burke, I like them more as we see the chemistry/non-chemistry with each other and how much they really care for each other. It shows both the hard-asses as human with real emotions.
It's funny how we notice these guest players from what roles they've done previously. I liked seizure lady much more on Chicago Hope then in Kindergarten Cop. A few weeks ago the lady with cancer who wouldn't tell her daughter, she played the sister on Roseann for it's whole tv run. I've noticed lots of guests that have been on former shows as regulars and a lot of them as bit players on other shows too. Interesting to see them, and I guess it must pay the bills because there is a certain bunch of actors/actresses that are on different shows all the time. My DH and I call this the "crewman #6" phenomenon. Think of Galaxy Quest, and Guy, the crewman without a name that always dies! Anytime we watch a show with someone we recognize from another bit part, we'll say "oh, that must be crewman #6". Yeah, we're dorks!
Can't wait for next week with this show! I still love it and look forward to it every week!

This was posted over on the eonline boards.
MONDAY
ABC is committed to moving the white hot Grey’s Anatomy to the night, and the network plans on pairing it with Six Degrees , an ensemble show about six young New Yorkers from executive producer JJ Abrams. The show tested well and should hold on to a considerable chunk of the Grey’s Anatomy audience. Currently the network is looking at opening the night with new Alicia Silverstone comedy Pink Collar, although Wifeswap or Supernanny may take its place if the show does not test well.

I was going through my DVR's scheduled programs and guess what's scheduled for Monday May 15th? Greys Anatomy.
It's a 2 hour episode and looks like it's a continuation of Sundays 1 hour episode. I'm assuming it's the season finale but I wonder if they are starting to ease us into Mondays?

Monday at 9 or 10 would be just fine with me! Although, I do like it on Sundays...it's a good weekend wrap up.
hoping this does not interfer w/ medium?

The way I took it was that GA will be at 9. And medium is at 10. At least it is here.
It said something about holding on to a chunk of the audience so I would assume that they would mean as a lead in to the new show.
At least that is how I am taking what was said. Of course they may change their minds by the time the actual schedule comes out.

You tell him, Mere! Those were some pretty harsh words from McDreamy. Ya know, though, he is pretty damn hot when he's angry (or jealous - or both).
The funny thing about that whole scene is that he met Mere by sleeping with her the night he met her at a bar (while still married!).
I still love McDreamy, though.

GREAT episode tonight!! LOVED the tension between Mere and McDreamy. Loved Addison/Alex. LOVED Mere/McVet (although, maybe he's too perfect??).
I was definitely crying when the girl died, and then when the dad went to see the intern that hit them. SO SAD!!
Fabulous acting by everyone tonight!

I loved this episode! There was not one thing that I didn't like about it--so good!
Can someone answer something for me? I don't know if I missed it b/c DH came home halfway through the episode and starting talking non-stop (grrr), or if they never really said it, but what was wrong with the pregnant girl? I know they saw something on the MRI, but seeing as how I'm not a surgeon, I have no idea what it was and I didn't hear them say it. Can someone help-it's driving me crazy?
Thanks!

Such an EXCELLENT episode! I shed some tears at the end, yeah, I admit it. :p Wasn't the guy who caused the accident the actor who was on American Pie, who called the mom a MILF? Also, did Meredith get lip silicone injections? Her lips look bigger to me.

Oh how I wanted to punch mcdreamy in the face...
I mean come ON. let's see here..you pick mer up in a bar, sleep with her, woo her, (not telling her that you're married and are now cheating on your wife) Then tell her that you're married, play cat and mouse with both women for awhile, decide to stay with your wife, tell mer to move on while still leading her on anyways, still telling her to move on..and when she finally does you call her a whore? EXCUSE me? Baby. I'm sorry, I know he's just really hurt and was trying to hurt her back, but seriously. What'd you want her to do? sit at home alone for the rest of her life? Jerkass. I have to say that I am one that cried too. The more I watch this show, the more I love it!
I LOVED the speech Mere said to Derek. It was perfect. I am so proud of her for standing up to him and defending her actions.
While I still think Alex is a jerk, I was glad to see him step up and save the baby.
I can't believe there is only 3 hours left!! What am I going to do all summer!!
I cried! They definitely need a warning on that show that it's going to be an emotional tear-jerker.
What is up with Izzy and Denny?
I was really annoyed with Derek last night...it takes two and he chose to go back to his wife. I did laugh a little at the comment about Alex though. I thought he was being childish and that it was a bit out of character for him. Do we even know if Meredith slept with McVet?

My thoughts exactly. DH was laughing at me cuz i was basicly saying this too the TV while he was talking to her, lol.
OMG I cried sporatically through this show. I still wonder about Alex though. I mean when he told Baily he wanted to get the baby out, and asked her to tell him what to do....and then he's trying to get the baby to cry and looked so relieved when it did, i totally fell for him. And then you see him watching the dad with the baby and he's smiling...It was like he never did any of those things in the past that made me hate him...and then he has to screw it up by making that comment to Addison.
OK, I was dying to see if anyone else was annoyed to all hell by the Callie situation. She's upset about them looking ast her weird, but she waltzes into THEIR bathroom, completely nekid. I mean, of course they're going to stare at your. Granted, it was kind of childish that they were telling everyone she didn't wash her hands, but she doesn't have a right to be b*tchy about them staring at her. If your boyfriend lives in a house with other people, you don't walk around nekid. Her argument that she didn't know they were home was silly.. She could have waited for them to leave the bathroom, or go back to the room and put on a shirt. It just annoyed me. And she seems ridiculously needy. Like, worse than Mere. I dunno. I don't know....I think Mereidith and Izzy were out of line. They should let George have his happiness. Plus, I think Callie honestly thought they were home alone, and then just tried her best to put on a brave face when they were in the bathroom. It was so H.S. I can't imagine being a surgeon and having to deal with such childish behavior from my residents, especially Izzy.
I haven't liked Mer this whole freakin season until last night. I was so happy to see her not be so whiny. McDreamy was so out-of-line. Addison and Mer both deserve better at this point, no matter how hot I find Derek. The Vet is pretty amazing in his own right, but I do feel that the dialogue between Vet & Mer is so similar to last season between McDreamy & Mer. Anyone else feel this way?
I was so moved by the scene when the doctor said he was sorry to the Dad, and the subtle way in which George realized that if this man can forgive the guy who killed his daughter then he could be the bigger person and forgive Meredith.
Alex is still an ass.

Loved last night's episode.
I'm so sick of Izzy and the Denny situation. I thought he wasn't her patient anymore? How could she just leave Callie to go to him?
While I do agree that Meredith and Izzy were totally childish about the whole situation, Callie needs to reconize that they are George's friends and roommates, and he shouldn't have to "pick sides".

The Mer and Vet thing just doesnt mesh with me. There is absolutely no chemistry between the two actors. Odonnell is so wrong for the part he not only doesnt go with Mer physically he is just too boring and toooo perfect. They just threw in all this tragedy of his life in in like 5 seconds and you are supposed to say "oh he is human" but it wasnt believable. The way he recited that scene was like he was telling someone elses story.
Lets face it some people think he is a hunk(he's not my type but no he isnt ugly) but he is no actor. He is just wrong wrong wrong and I want him out! Really seriously he needs to go. She had better chemistry with Addison's hubby McSteamy. As a matter of fact she has better chemistry with Alex!
Vet needs to go!!!! When they kissed I actually flinched it was like seeing a brother and sister kiss. Just sooooo wrong.
They need to bring in someone else like John Cusack or something. Chris O has to go (it rhymes!)
Anyway, Im over with my rant. Cant wait for next weekend Im a Grey's fan all the way so I have no problem watching on Monday there isnt anything on that day thats better than my McDreamy.

Oh and on the Callie thing.
First off no way would I walk around in red panties in a home that my boyfriend shares with two other people. Its just wrong! doesnt matter if they are women. Im a girl and have no interest in seeing other girls breasts. I actually hate that at the Gym women just walk around with their breasts hanging out all the time and I mean they just parade around and sit there on the cel phones with nothing on and I mean nothing! Its disgusting I dont need to be fullfilling people's exibitionists needs. I understand we cant be covered up 100% all of the time while in the gym coming out of the shower etc but I still manage too why can they? Ive never flashed my stuff at anyone at the gym why do they have to flash me?
Next no I dont pee infront of anyone not even my hubby nor does he. Thats just pushing the envelope in our books we dont need to see each other or other people getting rid of their waste.
Callie was wrong in so many levels. When she saw the girls there she should have said sorry and covered up and left and came back later.
And the whole washing of hands if they saw her half naked what would have mattered to take your time and wash your hands if you dont care that they saw you and you are so mature then you should have just said "excuse me" and washed your hands.

I said to DH, she's skinnier than I thought. But then again it could have been a double. She looked hippier in the scene where she met George on the street a couple of episodes back. I recall saying, "glad they chose someone that wasn't super skinny".

Great episode last night. I got all teary-eyed watching that scene too. One scene that struck me as unbelievable was the one in which the woman's parents were briefed by the doctors about how long they were going to keep her "opened". Their daughter is lying there with her chest opened and the parents are standing around in their clothes instead of scrubs. Aren't the doctors afraid the woman will get an infection from outside germs? Isn't she in bad enough shape with the massive injuries that they would want to prevent further complications?

Remember how they covered her with plastic? Although the skin was technically open, the whole chest was covered with plastic to keep out bacteria. Plus, she had all kinds of other things covering her.

MEREDITH: "I never should have told you about George."
DEREK: "No, its fine. I'm glad I know about him, and the vet. You really get around."
MEREDITH: "What did you just say to me?"
DEREK: "It's unforgivable."
MEREDITH: "I don't remember ever asking you to forgive me."
DEREK: "So, was the knitting a phase? Who's next? Alex? I hear he likes to sleep around too. You two have that in common."
MEREDITH: "You don't get to call me a whore. When I met you, I thought I had found the person that I was going to spend the rest of my life with. I was done! All the boys and all the bars and all the obvious daddy issues, who cares? I was done. You left me. You chose Addison. I'm all glued back together now. I make no apologies for how I chose to repair what you broke. You don't get to call me a whore."
DEREK: "This thing with us is finished. It's over."
MEREDITH: "Finally."
DEREK: "Yeah, it's done."
MEREDITH: "It is done."

Yeah, they're so not done. All that passion is gonna build up and at some point, probably in the distant future, we're gonna get one helluva sex scene...at least, I hope. :o :p :D

Man, they just won't let you hate Alex, will they? As soon as he makes you disgusted, he saves some babies life. Ugh.
Yeah, Callie kinda bugs me. She hasn't done anything that has made me warm up to her.
I loved Mer telling Derrick off. Ugh, he is such a creep. Men, I swear... :p
Izzy is pushing the limits. I know she loves Denny, but she's going to get in big trouble.

From Grey's Anatomy Insider: http://www.greysanatomyinsider.com/quotes/episodes/damage-case/
Just watched last night, and wow, what a great episode!
Derek is an ass. As much as I love McDreamy I couldn't believe that he had the gall to be as pissed off as he was with Mer and said what he said to her. Although that speech was awesome, I felt really bad for Mer afterwards because you could tell how torn apart that made her feel. :(
Not sure how I feel about her and McVet yet. While I want her to move on, I still can't help but want Derek to come running back begging for forgiveness.
I cried big time during the scene with Big Jim and the medical student, and when the husband was sitting their with his new baby. :(
That whole thing with Callie was just so weird. If you're going to walk into a bathroom almost naked, pee in front of the two women who live there, and then just saunter out, you've got to expect they're going to say something about it (although I did think that Izzie continuously harping on the issue was a bit immature). For her then to be all "Those girls looked at me like I was [whatever she said]" and then tell George that he needs to stick up for her was a little ridiculous in my book. If she didn't think they were home then she should have had more of a surprised look on her face when she opened the door, said "Oh sorry" or "Excuse me", turned around and went back to George's room.
Denny and Izzy, I think that she just really loves him. But last night I thought that she was closing the door to jump on top of Denny and have sex with him. Did anyone else think she was gonna do that or am I just a perv?
I thought the same thing. :p
Anyone see the preview for this week's 20/20? They're going to be going behind the scenes on GA. :)

Yeah, but haven't we all done or said something in an attempt to not be embarrassed but later realized that we did the totally wrong thing? She was trying to fit in and just made it worse. And, what she said to George shows that despite her tough exterior, she's like the rest of us and wants to be liked and have friends.

Well I'm not sure how peeing in front of them was trying to fit in, but if I wanted to cover up my embarrassment, I might just go to the sink for a drink or something. I dont know...the whole thing just struck me as a little odd.

Ya so I'm totally late in catching up with the new epi, but OMG was it hard to get through!!! I don't cry easily, as in I've never cried from a GA epi, and I bawled, I mean bawled to the point DH had to stop the epi and help me breathe!!
What an amazing episode, I can't wait for the season finale!!
Alex- you grow to hate him but gotta love him for saving the baby!!
McDreamy- Bout time she told him off!!
Mere- Looking healthier every new epi
McVet- Eh haven't decided how I feel about him yet...
Christina- LOL I don't blame her for falling asleep :o (if she got to two before he got to one, uhhhhh his prob not hers....)
Big Jim & MILF guy- Wow tear jerker!!
Callie- Honestly I give her props, she's got some huevos to pee in front of the girls (and yes I think it was a body double  )
Man only 3 more days http://forums.clubrsx.com/images/smilies/ohnoes.gif

I said to DH, she's skinnier than I thought. But then again it could have been a double. She looked hippier in the scene where she met George on the street a couple of episodes back. I recall saying, "glad they chose someone that wasn't super skinny".
Actually, about the body double thing, Sara Ramirez is pretty skinny in real life. I saw her in Spamalot. She's just not Ellen Pompeo skinny. I don't think it was a double.
janders - i just checked out her website www.sararamirez.com and it does appear as if she is thin irl. i think they are just dressing her to look a little more curvy to fit her role on grey's.

She definitely seems more top heavy...and in ill-fitting scrubs, it probably makes her appear larger overall than she really is.

I looked at her site, and it I think that she's a curvy and beautiful size 12 or 14.

I agree, and think how she looks in those pics is how she looks on GA.
