Whoo-hoo!! I can't wait to see what they have done with it! Anyone else watching?

Here is an article I found about the new season:

Duhamel Calls "New" Vegas a Sure Thing
by Matt Webb Mitovich

Just as a hung-over couple wonders what the fallout will be from their drunken vow-exchange at the Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel, the cast and crew of NBC's Las Vegas have to wonder what sort of impact several cast additions and subtractions, as well as glitzy new set-piece attractions, will have on the series' future. On board for Season 3 (premiering tonight at 9 pm/ET): The Practice's Lara Flynn Boyle as Monica Mancuso, the newly renovated Montecito's savvy, sexy new owner; Rachael Leigh Cook (She's All That) as Penny Posin, a potential new love interest for Josh Duhamel's Danny McCoy; and a massive (40,000 square-foot) new casino set as, well, a massive casino. Now missing from the action: original cast member Marsha Thomason, whose Nessa always seemed to get the short end of the screen-time stick.
"It feels like a new show almost — it is different — but the vibe on the set is great," Duhamel tells TVGuide.com, assaying the various changes made over the summer. "Lara Flynn has been a great addition, Rachael has been a great addition.... Of course it's sad to lose Marsha, but that kind of stuff happens, I guess. We're just trying to make the best of it.
"Everybody feels really good about the show," the actor continues, "and we're really happy with the first five scripts that we have done so far. We've done a pretty good job of finding the balance between funny and dramatic — especially since the second half of last year, when we really found our beat."
Duhamel insists that his Las Vegas run hasn't made him any sort of major "hero" when visiting the real-life gambling mecca. "I'm still a very small fish there compared to the big 'ballers," he humbly admits, but he adds, "I do get recognized a lot when I go there, probably more than I do in, say, Pittsburgh."
After all, it's not like the cast, which tapes the show on a Los Angeles soundstage, does their thing there on location, beneath the bright lights and bling-bling-blinging slots. "We get invited to a lot of events out there, but unfortunately, because of the schedule, we're not able to make a lot of them," he reports. "But we will be there on the 24th [of September] to celebrate our second-season DVD release, so that will be fun."
When Duhamel does get to hang in Vegas, you're not likely to find him at the tables. "I don't gamble much. I usually like to go for a boxing match or the shows, or to see some of my friends who live out there. And one of my favorite places for a quiet weekend is the Green Valley Ranch; that's always fun." As such, he maintains, "I don't have a lot of crazy stories" to share — or, rather, hide. (Judging by his tone, we do not entirely believe him.)
Until recently Duhamel was busy not eyeballing would-be cheats through an eye in the sky, but backpacking on location through a rather unglitzy Brazilian jungle for his role in the upcoming action-thriller Turistas. Sounds like a far cry from Win a Date with Tad Hamilton. "Yeah, it's quite a bit different," Duhamel agrees, laughing. "I mean, we'll be lucky to get the R rating. I'm really excited about it. It starts out a visually beautiful movie and then, about halfway through, it takes a turn that is... pretty disturbing."

I missed the first 30 minutes, can anyone catch me up?

Did they say were Nessa was? Last we saw she was on a plane with Delinda.

Thanks!

Nessa, her sister and her father were spirited away by the CIA and given new identities, supposably never to return.

Not sure what is up with Delinda. She is mad at her dad for the way he handled the Nessa situation, but they never elaborated on what she meant by that.

Ed convinced Danny to come back to work for him. Danny was busy running his father's construction company and had to be talked into leaving. Mary is living happily in a pretty house with a white picket fence. Don't know if she is married.

Danny pulled Mike out of a valet parking gig to return to the Montecito. He was wearing what pretty much amounted to a Leprechaun outfit. :D

What was up with Mary?

I must have missed something from the end of last season.

Did she get married? To who?

Not sure I dig Lara Flynn Boyle. Her lips bother me for some reason and I end up starring at them.

I think I like Lara Flynn Boyle, but I agree about her lips. In her first scene at the construction site it looked like they were too big for her to close her mouth. Was Rachel Leigh Cook on last night's episode?

I think I'm liking the Lara Flynn Boyle character (and it looks like she put a little weight on finally). I'm waiting to hear more details about Nessa and Delinda and about Mary and her new man. Sam and Mike, well, that was a pretty "eh" storyline there.

I liked the action and the story with the snatch and grabbers, but I thought the premiere didn't quite live up to the finale when it came to the characters' stories.

I know this is a dead thread, but I just wanted to say "THANK GOODNESS, Lara Flynn Boyle is gone". Those lips were tooooo distracting and she could barely speak right.

Hope the keep Dean Cain around, more eye candy.

ITA, about Lara Flynn Boyle! Although, the way she died was somewhat bizarre (esp. the ending of last week's episode).

Yeah, I'm glad she's gone too, but the way they killed her off was pretty hokey.

I haven't seen last night's show yet (I taped it) but I'm anxious to see if Dean Cain's character is going to stick around. ;)

I agree! I never liked here and when I heard that somebody at teh Montecito was goign to die, I was hoping it was her.

I liked how Danny was going old school (with the defibrilator, and breaking into the container).
I want to know what's going on with Mary. She's being much more confident, and kind of secretive.

I didn't see this week's show yet, but if she's gone for good, then I'm all for it. But I'm *really* all for Dean Cain coming on board. Talk about YUM.MY!!!

What happened on the season finale? Our DVR lost the program guide for Friday night and didn't record anything! I've looked for a recap online with no luck. Can someone give me an update?

Well, Delinda called Danny to the Bridal Suite where she was trying on her dress for a fitting and they ended up kissing. Ed walked in and caught them and later on Danny told Ed that he thought he might be in love with Delinda. Meanwhile, the CIA kept tracking Ed down and telling him that he was needed in Langley to be debriefed on an old case that Ed had worked on that had recently become active again. Ed kept telling them to f**k off; he had his daughter's wedding to worry about. Apparently some really bad guy that Ed thought he had killed 20 years ago was spotted alive and kicking somewhere.

Sam and Danny were both trying to chase down dates for the wedding since Mary and Mike both had dates. Mary also had her first date with Casey at Wolfgang Pucks. Derek asked Danny to be his Best Man, beating Delinda to the punch who wanted Danny to be her Man of Honor. A huge bachelorette/bachelor party was thrown complete with tons of strippers. Danny and Mike missed it because they were in Derek's suite having some "bonding time" at Derek's insistance. The bachelorette party ended with Delinda, Mary and Sam all snuggled in bed together, where Delinda asked Mary and Sam to both be her Maids of Honor.

At the end of the show; Sam and Mary are getting ready together and Mary is bawling at every moment. Downstairs; Sam's beau Woody shows up from Boston to take her to the wedding; she doesn't know that he's there. Delinda is in her Bridal Suite with her mother;already in her wedding gown. She asks her mom if she's doing the right thing by marrying Derek. When her mother can't give her the answer that she wants, Delinda takes off; saying she has to talk to somebody. In Derek's suite; he and Danny are dressed and ready. Derek gets nervous and goes into the bathroom to throw up. In Ed's suite; he is dressed and ready to go. His wife calls and tells him that Delinda must be on her way to talk to him. In Derek's suite; he is still puking and someone knocks on the door. Danny opens it and Delinda is standing there in her wedding gown. The two of them stare at each other like two people in love/lust. In Ed's suite; someone knocks on the door. Ed, thinking its Delinda, opens the door only to be staring down the barrel of a gun. The screen goes blank, we hear the gun fire and thats all she wrote.

Hope that helps! :D

Great recap Jimmysgirl424.

I watched it and thought the same thing as you and LeslieandPaul, they can't keep us hanging.

I hope the producers didn't kill off Ed.

I don't think Ed is getting killed off, its the shows way of delaying the wedding so that D can marry Danny.
