We are trying to get some of this figured out while Kristen is still here and we can proof read each other.

We're looking for ideas on wording for of RSVPs and hotel info. Please share.

Here's my response cards to see one way of wording. As far as hotel info, I've added a line on my reception card to view our website. I don't know any of my OOT guests who don't have internet access so I'm not including it otherwise.

I am planning on doing another insert with hotel info plus a URL tothe website for "additional information".

Have you checked out the articles (http://www.weddingchannel.com/wedding-planning/wedding-invitations/article-index.html/exclusiveSiteBrandKey?s:10:t:20:p:1003:l:1157) on WC re: response cards?

Thanks guys!! The directions go on forever-I have no clue what part of it is useful. I semi-wish we were doing a website so that I could put more detailed info there. I forgot that there is a WC. I never go there anymore.

Thanks :)

I'm just using the WC website. You can have your own domain now like www.larissaandkristen.com and it reroutes you to a WC website.

I am trying to figure out how to ask for attendance, guest names, and food choices in my response cards. Has anyone been able to do this successfully? I was considering sending a single card to each invited person, including a "fill in the blank" card for a guest. That way they can check off their food preference. Do you think this would work?

Thanks,
Jen

Although they are pretty tiny:

I would advise against a card for each indivisual as it could be "too much" for some people.

I had a card for each invited household that said something to the effect of:

check no if they weren't coming, and if they were attending, they checked the yes box and filled in their names on the blank line provided. Some even wrote on the back!

I have seen some brides ask on the same card "how many for chicken" and "how many for beef" etc, and the guests mark next to each respective food choice.

Sorry if my post doesn't make sense, it's early :p I may come back later and edit to make it more legible. :D

Here are my suggestions for response cards...

Take the time to fill in the names yourself. You'll likely get blank cards otherwise and you'll have to figure out who sent the response card.

I'd do something like:

____ seats are reserved for M________________________
____ joyfully accept
____ decline with regret

Please indicate which meal each of you would prefer.
____ Beef meal
____ Chicken meal
____ Veggie meal

If you don't fill in the names, then I'd at least number the response cards and keep a list saying that response card 52 came from Great Aunt Martha.
