24: Season Five

Since I so enjoyed the 24 thread on the 'other' site, I'll kick one off here. I'm not sure of an exact date for the season premiere, but until the new season airs, we can come here to rehash the past season, ask questions, speculate, and all that fun stuff. :)

As far as I know, Kiefer has two more years left to his contract. How in the HECK are they going to pick up next season, with the way they ended season 4? Is he going to be some mercenary on the run?

from what I undetstand the new season isn't even going to air til '06. At least it leaves me plenty of time to catch up on seasons 1, 2 and 3. Now you've got me wondering how the new season will pick up...obviously Keifer S will play a major role, but I still want to know what happens with Marwan and the WMDs.

Yeah, that sounds about right. So I have to wait until 2006 for both 24 AND Sopranos!! No fair.

I've heard that Mary Lynn Rajskub/Chloe will be back for next season. As far as Marwan--was he confirmed dead? He sure looked like it!

I'm starting to think Jack will end up trying to clear up the situation with the Chinese embassy next season. Wonder if the useless prez, Logan, will still be in office. TV guide had some kind of preview, I'll have to try and track it down.

Are they really not going to have 24 this year?! I'll be so sad. I love that show! Jack Bauer kicks some major butt, so I'm sure they'll figure out what to do now that he's on the run.

I wonder about Kim. How's she?

We love 24! My DH wants to name our first son Jack Bauer Ourlastname.

Things I've heard/read about 24:

- as mentioned, Chloe is coming back and she's now considered a "regular character"

- the new season will take place 2 years from the end of last season. So presumably we will find out what Jack has been doing for all that time.

- We will not see Keeler again but Logan will still be around.

- Michelle & Tony will have kept their promise to each other and have left CTU. However, "something" will happen and one or both will make a small appearance.

Anything you read between now and Season Five's Finale is subject to change. Remember - Michelle was originally supposed to have killed herself when she thought Tony was dead and they changed it so who knows. :cool:

Chloe, as much as she's a needed character, is a pain. I don't know why but she bugs me every episode. That guy they had this past season drove me more batty though, what was his name? See I can't even remember. God I hope they leave him out next season.

I read some where that Bahrooz will be back next season. They had to edit out what happened to him because of time, but he didn't get killed!

ROFL, I wanted to name our first son Jack Kiefer Ourlastname, but DH thinks Jack William Ourlastname will be better. :o

Edgar. Funny - I couldn't remember his name either for a second. I had to stop, and "hear" Chloe say, "Edgar!!" before I remembered it! :D

oh wow- i never heard about Michelle's original storyline. I'm glad they never changed it, I probably would have stopped watching if they had her kill herself!!!

The only thing I heard is that it picks up with Jack still a fugitive.

I guess we have a while until we really find out what's going on. Hmmmmph!

As much as it sucked last year to have to wait so long, it was REALLY nice to have a completely uninterupted season. It made it worth the wait (once the wait was over!). Believe me, January will be here before we know it (I'm already freaking out that Christmas is now less than 6 months away!!! :eek:

I hate it when my favorite shows go on these wierd seasonal hiatuses. You never know when new eps are going to start (And sometimes then you miss them) and you have to watch repeats to refamiliarize yourself with the storyline.

However, I think alot of networks are liking this new "uninterrupted" season - it actually allows them to air more shows per year and not waste as much time with repeats.

Oooh, I hadn't heard some of this news!!

I wonder if they will bring Chase and Kim back. I heard they were supposed to be back for a bit this last season but they never were. :( although, with Chase's hand being the way it is, I doubt he'd be in the field.
