LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - German supermodel Heidi Klum has given birth to a baby boy in Los Angeles, and the mother and her son, named Henry, are doing well, Klum's spokeswoman said on Tuesday.

The 8-pound (3.6-kg) infant is Klum's first with British pop singer Seal, whom she married in May. She also has a 1-year-old daughter, Leni, from her previous relationship with Formula One race car manager Flavio Briatore.

Klum, 32, gained fame in the late 1990s modeling lingerie for retailer Victoria's Secret and swimsuits, notably on the cover of Sports Illustrated magazine's popular swimsuit edition.

Last year, she hosted the reality television program "Project Runway" on U.S. cable TV network Bravo featuring 12 unknown designers competing to win an apparel contract and their own show during New York's Fashion Week.

"Project Runway" was nominated for an Emmy, the U.S. TV industry's top awards that will be given out next week in Los Angeles. Klum's publicist said it had yet to be decided if Klum would attend the Emmys.

I love Seal...I think he's so cool. He does have some strange scarring, but I love that one of the most beautiful women out there finds him beautiful...and they seem to be very good to one another.

I'm so happy for them! They're such a lovely couple. And it's nice that they named their son after his father, as I see that Henry is Seal's middle name. :)

BTW, those scars are from a form of lupus that Seal had when he was a child. There isn't any reason to think Henry or any future children will suffer from that same condition.

Henry Guenther Ademola Dashtu Samuel was born Monday in Los Angeles, the couple announced Wednesday on Klum's German-language Web site.

Seal's full name is Sealhenry Olusegun Olumide Samuel, while Heidi's father and manager is Guenther Klum.

I can't wait to see what the baby looks like, I bet he's a cutey!

So his last name is Samuel. I guess! :D

I've never thought that Seal was anything to write home about, but I have to say some of the recent pictures of him out with Heidi and Leni (where he is carrying Heidi's purse or feeding Leni a bottle) totally raise his hotness factor by about a million in my book. :)

ITA! :D I just said to my hubby yesterday that any man who'll become involved with a woman with a newborn child and raise the little one as his own is wonderful in my book. ;) :)

And I'm biased, but I always think children who have a white parent and a black parent are exceptionally beautiful (just like my DH). :D

Heidi :: He sometimes wakes up every two hours, so we take turns. When it is Seal's turn he grabs a bottle from the refrigerator.
HELLO! :: But you are breast-feeding?
Heidi :: Yes, and I'll continue for a few more months. It's totally different from how it was with Leni. Henry is hungry more often. But if I express a little milk to hold in reserve and put a few bottles in the refrigerator, Seal or my mother can lend a hand and feed him.
HELLO! :: Seal, how do you feel when you held your first child in your arms?
Seal :: How come my first child? Leni is my first child just like Henry I saw her take shape and move in Heidi's body. And I was present at her birth too. Leni is my daughter and Henry is my son. Seal used to be involved with model Tatjana Patitz. I thought that they had a child together. Hoewever, now the only info I can find is that she has a son (no mention of who the father is) that she keeps out of the lime-light.

Sweet interview with them. I also read People magazine and sw the pics in there. I never thought Seal was a "looker" (had no idea the scars were from lupus) but what a voice!

and it said that she had her baby 8 weeks ago.
if only *I* could look like that 8 weeks out!!

But, that's her job.

She can afford all kinds of help with her kids, plus has a personal trainer who probably has her working out 6 hours a day. I think a lot of people could look really good if they devoted all their time and tons of money to it.

(I'm not one of them :p )
