Ok, a little background...
A good friend of mine just got married 9/2 and my mom did the flowers for her wedding. They were all roses and they were fairly easy for her to do.
So now, another friend of mine was so impressed with my mom's work that she asked my mom to do her flowers for her upcoming wedding, the first weekend in November. She however is using gerbera daisies as her flowers.
She asked me to come on here and post asking for inspiration pictures for what she should do with them. She is not very familiar with gerbera daisies and isn't too sure what she should be doing with them.
ANY ideas will help. TIA!

I know that this is what we had for our unity candle. I ordered it in Gerber Daisys, and got this (which was fine by us) but if you can use your creative imagination, maybe this would be a good idea if the girl wants to stay within a small budget...

I will try to get some pics scanned in from my wedding -- I did gerbers & roses for my bouquets (instead of all gerberas, because I wanted the round look, and they didn't go together well like that. The roses mixed in gave it a more uniform shape.)
I have seen them on the cake, as posted above, they are great as boutiennieres, and lop off the stems and float them anywhere and everywhere. There's a great picture somewhere of long, low rectangular glass bowls with floating gerbers, that functioned basically as table runners. My "minimalist" centerpieces were handfuls of gerbers in mint julep cups (I wanted really low centerpieces). I also had them woven into greenery for my arch (outdoor wedding).
They are such a great flat wide shape, you can do some really pretty things with them that you can't do with rounder flowers.
One caveat for the flower arranger: lots-to-most of gerbers don't have "species" names, like roses do, so it can kind of difficult to get a large group of exactly what you're looking for. My florist had to order my flowers with a color description, which was iffy at best since we were trying to match to roses. Tell her to be prepared for a little flexibility, or better yet choose multiple colors that coordinate well so you can be sure to get enough in the "right" shades. We did all deep peachy-orange for both gerbers & roses, and in the end, the gerbers weren't the color of the ones I had chosen from the samples. But close enough -- my orange flowers looked great ;)

I thought they're called gerbera daisies (with an "a").
Here is a pic of one of the centerpieces at my wedding using gerberas. Not the best shot, but it turned out really pretty.

And here's some in our rehearsal dinner arrangement:

Yes, they are called gerberA daisies. Gerber is a brand of baby food ;)

Thanks to everyone who gave pictures, they helped my mom a lot! I edited the entry to change the spelling...
I'm still looking for as many pictures as possible!
Thanks girls!

Here are some more pics. One note though, I *think* that the flowers tend to drop a bit and have seen tube like sleeves around the "neck" of them. I don't know if you can buy those easily but they might help keep the flowers fresh looking.

Here's a few pictures of my flowers. I had gerberas, roses, and reg daisies. I was sooo happy with the way they turned out. :) The pictures aren't the best quality, but you get the idea.
