Has the Hurricane changed your wedding plans?

I didn't think this thread was quite right for the Hurricane Katrina board, but I know that some people are going through serious stress with this issue. Has anyone who was planning a wedding in New Orleans or elsewhere along the coast had to re-work their wedding plans?

FH and I were going to be leaving from NO for our honeymoon and we planned on spending a few days checking out the city (we had never been before and really wanted to see it), but the travel agency couldn't guarntee it would be up and running, so we moved it to FL. I am very sad about that since I very much wanted to see the beautiful city I had heard so much about--and I plan on being one of the first to slap my money down as soon as it opens again.

I feel lucky that FI and I got to go down in early July. It was his first time there. I wonder if it will ever be the same again. I honestly hope that they're back in business in time for Mardi Gras, because I for one (even though I absolutely HATE Mardi Gras) would definitely go, just to contribute to the city's economy.

I'm happy for you that you were able to fairly easily change your plans, at least. I've seen at least one girl on the boards who was actually getting married in NOLA next month. I can't imagine what people like that must be going through right now. Obviously, it's not as bad as actually LIVING there and losing everything, but having a DW destroyed after months of planning has to be heart-rending.
