Can anyone recommend some good boy play baby dolls? I've always loved the Lee Middleton Newborn Wonder babies, but even the one dressed in blue looks like a girl. I'm not opposed to Noah playing with a girl baby doll, but I think it might go over better with dad if the doll is a boy. (Preferably something not too large, since he'll only be 1 1/2 this christmas.)

I'm not sure if you want a "realistic" baby doll, but I just made this doll for DD (from a kit, but this company also sells completed dolls):

and she really likes it (I gave it to her today, and she talked to it for a while and then laughed at it). They also make more realistic looking dolls, and you can choose the clothing/hair/skin color of all the dolls. I like this style of doll because they are very soft and cuddly (plus, DD had a good time trying to eat the hat.).

Yeah, something realistic. Something he can feed, rock, bathe (not necessarily with water) and treat like his little baby. Those are cute little dolls though :)

I found a few dolls...
This site (http://www.liveandlearn.com/gotz/index.html) has some boy dolls, for varying ages, even some anatomically correct ones.
There's also this doll (http://www.liveandlearn.com/corolle/paul.html) which we'll probably get for Noah when we start potty training.
I've also found a few dolls dressed in yellow or blue that are pretty "genderless" that could go either way.

I think we're going to get DS a Cabbage Patch Kid (a boy one) for Christmas this year. My brother had one when he was little and we played with them all the time. I think they're cute and dad will approve.

Edward has a purple My First Baby Doll from Walmart. But recently I bought him the Eddie doll (hehe, just HAD too). Maybe that would work for you??

My DS will be getting "Valentin Azur" from the Corolle line for Christmas. Hope this link works: http://www.corolledolls.com/corolle_catalog/product_detail.php/pid=1035~subid=134/index.html
His sister will be getting Valentine, the girl version.

Last year on the bbb there were a bunch of moms splitting up pairs of bitty twins from the American Girl collection:

If you have someone who wants to split, that might be an idea, though they are a bit spendy!

DS has a boy Cabbage Patch kid doll. The only interest he has in it is to try to take it's binky out. Do your boys play with the dolls or do you have any way to encourage it? We were at a playgroup and I was showing DS how to rock the baby doll. After he realized he couldn't take it's bottle away, he ran off and started pushing the lawnmower around. (He's definately a boy's boy.;) )
