This is a group of mommies who have large/fast growing babies and realize that bigger IS better, that there is just more of them to love! If you are the proud mama of a chunky monkey, come on in and join us as we share stories, struggles and joys!
Question of the Day
Do you get sick of the comments or people always asking about your child's size?
Developmental Milestones
How often should we update "current" information?

Mom: Tracy
DD: Zoey 10.6.04
Birth Weight: 8 lbs. 1oz.
Birth Length: 20.5 inches
Current Age: 11 months
Current Weight: 24lbs+ (>97 percentile)
Current Length: 31 inches (>97 percentile)
Current Clothing Range: 18-24 months
Current Diaper Size: size 4
Feeding: FF from the beginning and now loves EVERYTHING! Eats a lot of table foods, some baby food, and 12 oz of formula a day.
DD has pretty much followed closely to what I was as a baby and I am now 5'11, so we are thinking she will defintely be tall! I am curious to see if the next baby coming in Feb. takes after us the same way :)
comments Yep, I get tired of them constantly. I have just been mae much more aware of how things can hurt people, so I purposely stay away from making comments about a baby's size, big or small.
development Zoey's development has been normal thus far. I am just waiting for her to walk! She will stand by herself but refusse to take a step. I think she is just stubborn.
BBL... she is awake!

Mom: asianbear07 aka Natasha
DS: Ethan 2-5-03
Birth Weight: 9 lbs. 6oz.
Birth Length: 21.5 inches
Current Age: 2 years, 7 months
Current Weight: 38 1/2 pounds (>95 percentile)
Current Length: 37-38 inches (>95 percentile)
Current Clothing Range: 3T
Current Diaper Size: size 6
Feeding: Formula fed until about 6 months, introduced real foods, completely off formula around 12 months.
Do you get sick of the comments or people always asking about your child's size? I used to. I am accustomed to it now, especially with FH's Chinese family. Their babies have a tendency to be much smaller, so I am forever getting comments from them. It's usually on the positive side ("Oh, what a big boy! He's so cute!").
Developmental Milestones Always right on time, or a little early. He has a HUGE vocabulary (much bigger than other kids I have met his age), and speaks more clearly than kids his age I have met. He likes to play pretend, and sing along with his TV shows.
How often should we update "current" information? Maybe just have people put the info they want updated in red, and you can update it as you see it?

Good Idea...I think that's what we'll do, if that's okay with everyone else?!?
Tracy: You are so NOT allowed to post!! :p I'm not even close to being ready for company! LOL J/K, post away, it will just probably be until Tuesday before I get the opening info all updated!

Mom: wagsgirl aka Tonya
DS: Greydon 2/18/05
Birth weight: 8lbs 6oz
Birth length: 20 1/2 inches
Current age: 6 1/2 months
Current weight: 22lbs 4oz
Current length: 28 1/4 inches
Current clothing range: 9-12 months
Current diaper size: 4
Feeding: B/F'ed for first 8 weeks and my body couldn't keep up. Now on formula, cereal and stage 2 foods.
comments-Get them all the time. But I say it, too. He's my chunky monkey. He's off the chart in weight and head circ, and 95% in height. My DD was always on the top end, too, but never off the charts...I love his rolls. People comment on his hair more than his size. It's soft, but it sticks straight up. Very funny!
development-He's been pretty much right on. I think because he's bigger, he's been a little slower doing a few things. He sat earlier than my daughter. She was 6 months and Greydon was sitting at 5 months unassisted. Rolling he did right at 4 months whereas my DD was 3 months from back to front. He really has no interest anymore in rolling...he's trying to grab for things out of his reach, though, so the motivation is there to start crawling. Nothing yet, though...

Tonya-- we always got a ton of comments in DS's hair, cause it was red and CURLY, and I kept it pretty long for awhile. Now, it just has waves cause we keep it short, and it's more blonde than red.

Comments: I'm really proud of Dean's size because I think its amazing that *I* have done all that! I think it is different because he is a boy, so we just get comments about him playing football and such. And that makes my husband really happy :)
Development: Since Dean is only 2 months old, there hasn't been a lot to compare him to. But he has always had excellent head control. He can hold his head up 90 degrees when on his tummy, and I haven't been supporting his head for ages. Yesterday he rolled over! I don't think he did it on purpose, but he is really wiggly and it just happened :)

Mom - HG
DD - Morgann 2/26/05
Birthweight: 9-3
Length: 22"
Head: 14.75"
Current Weight - 20 lbs. I guess. We haven't had her 6 mo. yet
Length - 26"
Clothing - mostly anything from 3-12 mo fits. 3-6 mo stuff fits if its elasticy/loose still, because she is not tall, but chubby.
Diapers - 3
Feeding - BF and she has a few bites a day of solids
Comments - I get them a lot Mostly they are said in a positive way. I like my chubby baby and the comments for the most part - except when they say "you should stop feeding her" Joking or not, I think its just not nice:-P
Development - She is mostly ahead. She started sitting unassisted at 3.5 mo. Her big tummy helped. She has pretty good fine motor skills and is pretty verbal. My old ped. office has charts for development and she fits about the 10 month development. Yes, I am bragging here. I am a proud mom:-) Just ignore me:-)

I found out that my little boy is up to 10 lbs! He was 8-11 and 21 1/4 at birth! He is also 22 1/2 inches now! I know he enjoys bfing!! It amazes me that he is up to that at 2 1/2 weeks.
Bragging is great!!

Subscribing here!
DS is 4.5 mos old, and at his 4 mo check up, he weighed 17.4 lbs!
Birth stats:
Weight: 8 pounds, 1 oz.
Length: 20 inches
Current (as of 4 mos)
Weight: 17 pounds, 4 oz.
Length: 26 inches
I learned the hard way how hurtful comments might be. Ya, I ALWAYS hear how big DS is, but not long ago we were at a mommies group, and there was an itty bitty baby there. DS was about 2.5 mos old I'd guess. We were both weighing our babies, and I said, "Oh, how adorable. He's a tiny little guy." Really, just gawking over what I thought was a brand new baby. He was the same age as DS, but they were having issues with weight gain. I meant it in such a nice, sweet way, but I'm sure I inadvertently added to that momma's stress. I felt awful. So, big or little, I learned my lesson.
Currently, DS is wearing 6-9 mo. clothes, but some are starting to get snug! Crazy!

I'm pretty sure I have a Chunky Monkey on my hands, so hope I can join up! :) DD #2 was born weighing 7' 13.5", which I thought was HUGE (she was 2 weeks early). DD #1 was born weighing a whole pound less, at 6' 12". Abigail is only 6 weeks old at this point, and I unofficially weighed her this morning, and she came in at 11 1/2 pounds! No wonder she's out of all her newborn stuff, and is nearly into size 2 diapers. Someone else mentioned they had a very small child the first time around, and that's how Tallia has always been - very small and petite. She's never been above the 25% for weight, and only once been around the 50% for height. Abby, on the other hand, is wearing clothes that Tallia wore at 6 or 8 months. Its very strange to me to have a big baby this time around! :) I have to admit, I'm in love with Abby's big chunky cheeks, though - they are just the most kissable things ever!!
So, our stats:
Mom: sdauer21 (Sonya)
Abigail - born July 26, 2005
birthweight: 7' 13 .5"
birth length: 19.5"
Current (at 6 weeks)
weight: 11.5" (unoffical)
length: not sure - she won't get measured again for a few weeks
clothes: size 3-6
diapers: size 2 (still squeezing in to some 1's, but fewer blow outs in 2's)
food: breastfed exclusively YIPPEE!!!
Hi to fellow August mommie, Kat!
Comments Haven't really gotten any of these yet, but I figure that's because DD is still so young. I expect we'll start getting them soon, as even I think she looks a lot older then she actually is already.
Development Again, hard to say, since she's so young. She seems very strong for being so young - really holds her head up well already, and has almost flipped herself over a few times (though totally unintentionally). I'm curious to see how her development progress, compared to Tallie's.

Hi Sonya! you are lucky! I have had people think that Ben is just a little small to be a couple of months old, unless they had babies about his size then they think he is just a really cute tiny baby. She may be rolling over on purpose. Ben rolls around so much that diaper changes can already be hard to do.

hello-- i had to write.. cause we are calling DS chucky monkey... since he started eating "real" food, he is packing on the lbs (porbably more like oz. but feels like lbs!)
It is funny, cause people tell me DS is HUGE for his age (now almost 6 months) but he is only in the 50% for weight and 75% for height.... I just don't get it. I believe that most people don't see babies every day (or you just forget cause they grow so fast) and that any baby who isn't tiny is HUGE.
ALL babies are cute... regardless of size!

We went to church this weekend and all the older ladies had fun commenting on the cute little baby, but when they asked how old he was they made comments on the cute big baby! I am so proud of him!

have been the worst threadmistress in the world ladies, I swear, and I am SO SORRY!!! Once my health get's straightened out, I should be much better about it! :)
Hello To All The New Members: Sorry I've been so scarce, but this place seems to be running fine. Things have just been beyond hectic around here and I swear at some point, I will get the beginning pages updated!! :o
But here is an update on Timothy: At his 4 month 3 week WBV, he actually lost some weight and was down to 17 pounds(he is currently 18 pounds!), but he was still a whopping 27 inches tall. He currently has 2 teeth and said his first 2 words this week. I am thinking now that he is crawling he will most likely thin out even more, but I'm a little worried as he has decided he doesn't want formula or even bottles now that he has had "real food." He would rather we give him a piece of bread than a bottle, and I'm hoping this is all teething related because I never went through this with my DD. She loved BM until she just stopped cold turkey at 15 months.
QOTD: Should we continue to keep the other thread in parenting, or should I ask to have it moved over here and somehow see if they can combine the two threads??

I wouldn't worry too much about it! We can let things go until you have time.
Could you do some apple juice diluted with some water? My mom did that with me. I was all about food!
We could say that it is here and copy posts over to here.

Did any body ever feel like they are starving their child?
I just feed Alan whenever he is interested. I feel like I have another appendage attached at my boob some days :p Nah, actually I'm surprised that he gets as much nutrition as he does, still from BM. He eats about the same as other kids, I assume, though I've never "scheduled" him or anything. He just eats when he's hungry, or bored, or scared, or tired, or hurt. You get the picture. :)

daniel's kitty - when my daughter was your son's age, she was always hungry it seemed. she was less "rooty" and eating all the time as time went on! So yes, I used to feel like I was starving her - but now I don't!
Daniel's Kitty

I am hoping he gets better since he gets hungry sometimes right after eating. I have cheated and snuck him formula a couple of times to hold him over sometimes. Especially if I want some me time to shower or eat.
I have actually propped him on the boppy so I could use both hands before when I am eating.
LyLMyssChaos

I feel like I am starving Timothy on an hourly basis. All that boy wants to do is eat. In fact, DH kinda does starve him because he can't believe how much he eats, so I have to remind him to keep feeding him until he wants to stop! LOL  My DD still to this day does not eat like he does, and I tell ya, the boy just keeps growing. We broke the 28 inche mark yesterday and he's not even 5 months old yet!! Luckily, he has thinned out some, but it is making it very difficult to buy clothing that fits him. I think that between his and my DD's clothing issues we should just move to a nudist colony and forget the issue all together! :p
But, seriously, Timothy can polish off a whole jar of stage 2 food and then need 4 to 6 ounces of formula to "fill him up" in one setting. He was polishing off 2 jars of stage 1 food, followed by the formula until I got the brainstorm to go to stage 2 sized jars! LOL Then he wants to eat no more than an hour later. I just remind myself that growing boys need their nurishment, keep giving it to him until he stops asking for it. And believe me, there is a distinct ask, especially since he nows screams out "BA-BA" when he is hungry! :D

MIL tried to take a bottle of EBM away from Ben and he screamed until he got it back. He is a stomach with legs. I can't keep up.
I hate trying to get him into clothes! He is long and doesn't fill out some of the 3-6 month stuff. It is getting better though.

LyLMyssChaos-Did you try mixing the stage 2 foods with cereal of some sort? For dinner, I've been giving Greydon cereal mixed with formula (or you could use EBM) and then I mix the jar of veggies or whatever with that. At dinner time, he also gets a jar of fruits not mixed. For breakfast, I just mix some fruit with cereal and he's good for a few hours both times...maybe if you mix with cereal, it will tide him over longer without needing the bottle, too??
Mom: Jen
DS: Jackson
Birth Weight: 8 pounds
Birth Length: 21 inches
Current Age: 15 months
Current Weight: 27 pounds, 6 oz (75th percentile - he's fallen quite a bit, can't decide if it's cause he's picky or active or both)
Current Length: 33 inches (75th percentile)
Current Clothing Range: 24m-2T-3T
Current Diaper Size: Size 5
Feeding: FF 12 months, solids at 4 months, currently can eat everything but is picky
DS has always been big - at least 90th+ percentile for weight and sometimes off he charts for height.
I wanted to join this thread because lately I've been getting a lot of comments/vibes that DS is being mistaken for a developmentally challenged 2 or 3 year old! It's really stressing me out and upsetting to me. He's 15 months old - he started crawling at 7 months but did not walk until 13 months. Anyhow, kids will ask their parents why DS does not "talk back" - because he can't talk!! I feel like other parents are annoyed that I hover over DS in play areas at the mall - he just started walking, he's clumsy, and he doesn't always engage in socially acceptable behavior, so I need to stay really close to him!
Does anyone else ever get this??
LyLMyssChaos

I totally am there with ya, only our problem is finding stuff that is diaper friendly seeing as how he's pushing the 18month mark for clothes and he just turned 5 months this week! The waist can be a little big on the 12 month stuff, but I have no choice as he is 28 inches long, so I tend to buy him one piece outfits.
Did you try mixing the stage 2 foods with cereal of some sort? Thanks for the tip, I think I will try that today. The kid is just a total eating machine!! What can I say, he loves his food! But that's what I get with him being 98% now!  Let's just hope he doesn't continue to increase as he gets older! LOL
jki--Welcome!! I will try to get info updated ASAP. As far as your question about people looking at you "funny," I totally get that too. I mean, my son is only 5 months, so all he does is crawl sometimes, and says about 3 words when he wants to, but people expect he should be doing a lot more. When I tell them how young he really is, they really are shocked. Now my skinny-minnie daughter on the other hand, people think the child is a genius because, well to be honest, she is less than half the size of the other kid's her age. She actually is a little advanced, but by no means should I be signing her up for Mensa just yet. I guess it goes to show you that unless you fit the "norms" of society to a "T" you'll be getting labeled something one way or another. I guess that is what gets to me a tad sometimes. My poord kiddos are not even school age yet, and already getting slapped with labels. My DD is the "petite, smart, pretty firecracker" and my son is the "behemeth destined to play football." If I had my way it would be more likely basketball, because he actually is thinning out. LOL
LyLMyssChaos - Thanks for the welcome! :) I think I am going to be experiencing the similar issues.... my DD (10 weeks) is the worst eater ever. She was in the 40th percentile for weight, but is now up to 60th. She was 8.5 lbs. when born! She is tall, but SO skinny.
I loved having a chunky baby because when he was sick or didn't feel like eating, I didn't have to worry about him not eating. With DD, I am constantly trying to make sure she gets enough.

I was in a 2T by one year and I have some of my stuff for when he is bigger. I have a feeling that Ben will be like that too. A few of his things are 6-9 months except the waist is big. He is starting to fit 3-6 month waists though! I wish he would stay little longer. He looks so big to me.

Update on my daughter -
WE had her 6 mo appointment yesterday (even though she is almost 7 mo)
She was 95-97% for head and weight and 70% for height
20 lbs and some ounces (I forgot! Bad mama!)
26.5"
Big Ole Head.
She is doing great and very healthy and the doctor said that she is ahead developmentally. (Brag)

How are all the CHunky Monkey's doing?
I think my monkey is getting a little less chunky now that she is crawling. Her once tight in the arms onsies are not so tight anymore!
Someone the other day actually guessed that she was 6 mo, not 7 mo! That's a first.......she was in a sling though, so maybe she just looked smaller;-)

Someone thought Ben was 4 or 5 months this weekend!
He keeps trying to roll himself onto his belly on the floor. He can do it on the bed, but the floor doesn't give to allow his arms not to get in the way. He can't figure out how to get off of his tummy though, he keeps trying to roll the wrong way.

DS is goinmg to be 3 in Feb, and we are on the potty train. We wanted to get him accustomed to the potty before little sister gets here. Anyway, my problem is 4T-5T Pull Ups are a little tight on him, and size 6 diapers are getting that way, too. Poor kid gets these little rashes on his hips from the diapers being too tight! He has been an especially picky eater lately, so he's thinning out a bit, but he'd better get the hang of the potty soon! lol

Gosh it has been a long time since I have been in here. I think I joined before the thread was moved to the group section.
Here is an update on my chunkey little girl.
6 mth WBV on 9-14
Weight - 22lbs
Length - 25 inches.
She is sitting up and starting to crawl. Ped said she is meeting all her milestones.
My DD has 3 meals a day Cereral/fruit in the morning, Veggies at lunch, Cereral/Fruit at dinner. With about 24 oz of Formula througout the day. Let me just say she loves eating her solids.
Right now she is in 9mths and some 12mth clothes. She had on a 12mth at her 6mth potraits and it fit her fine. I get a little dissapointed when I try on some 9mth cute overalls and they just dont fit her right. She looks so un- comfortable. :(
Other than that we are doing great. She is just getting so heavy to hold that my shoulder is starting to hurt.

Daniel's Kitty - we used to do the weigh yourself then weigh yourself with the baby thing. With clothes - the baby was about a lb. heavier I think than when we got a her actual weight at the WBV a few days later.
Or you could weigh the carrier and then the carrier with the baby. That was pretty accurate!

Height: 27 inches
Weight: 20-22 pounds
Timothy is wearing at least an 18 month size and eats at least 2 jars of stage 2 food mixed with cereal followed by about 6-8 ounces of formula in a sitting. He has various snacks throughout the day that vary from cheerios to slices of bread and graham crackers or pretzels. He LOVES food. He now has his 2 front bottom teeth and the tooth on either side of those are almost broke through. No top teeth yet. He says 4 words: mama, dada, baba(bottle/bye-bye), and hi. He is crawling, can stand with help, and can sit up with support, but no luck on the sitting up alone yet. I think he is just too top heavy! LOL
Here are a few recent pictures( the best time to get pictures of him is right after he wakes up or he won't sit still long enough as you will tell from the pictures):

I think that's about it for now. As you can see, he is keeping us rather busy. I'm glad to see that everyone is doing well and that your chunky monkey's are growing well and staying healthy! We'll check back in soon!

Timothy is such a Cute baby!!
I really think my girl is shaped a little different than most babies! She is 7.5 mo, 21 lbs, 26.5 inches long, but still fits in 3-6 mo. onesies and sleepers! Her torso must be short like mine:-P Pants have to be 12 mo. to fit her in the tummy. :-)

Thanks!! Oh what I wouldn't give for him to fit in a 3-6 month size!!! That would definitely make life easier!! :)

Just had to update that Timothy pulled himself up to standing 2 days ago about 4 times, so it looks like we are about to hit the cruising phase. I am totally in shock, the boy is just barely 6 months old and is ready to cruise??? I just got used to him crawling!! LOL I think he is really gonna take after his sister in this department!

Trying to keep this thread alive and just curious...some of you have babies older than mine. It looks like Timothy is ready to move into a size 4 diaper after numerous blowouts this week. I just am concerned about how big do diapers go(and who offers the most diapers for the money in the larger sizes)? I mean, this sounds stupid, but my DD never got to a size 4 because we potty trained her while in a size 3, and here is my son, not even 7 months old and clearly in need of a size 4. He is wearing nothing smaller than an 18 month for clothes and just, he KEEPS GROWING!! I keep thinking to myself "this must be how Shaquille O'Neal's mom felt!" I heard a song on the radio the other day called "Double XL" and I tell ya...that is my son! :p

Well, right now DS is in a size 5 and it looks like I might have to move up to a size 6. Which is kinda scaring me. I know they go to 6, but I haven't seen any bigger than that!!! We potty trained Briley while she was wearing a 5...But i'm hoping now that DS is on the move, that he will slow down a bit and be able to wear 5's a bit longer. No blowouts yet for us, but they are looking a little on the smaller side...

Mum: Caroline
DS: Ruby 18 May 2004
Birth Weight: 3 pounds 10 ounces (born 9 weeks early)
Birth Length: 43cms (? - not positive as they didn't measure her!)
Current Age: 18 months
Current Weight: 32 pounds (>97 percentile)
Current Length: 82.3 cms (50 percentile)
Current Clothing Range: 18 - 24 months, 2 year & 3 year
Current Diaper Size: second largest size Huggies
Feeding: Milk morning and night, finger food, table foods, water, diet cordial, diluted juice sometimes
This is from my LJ today, I posted after Ruby had her 18 month check up.
She weighs 14.4 kilos (31.68 pounds), is 82.3 cms long (32.1 inches) and her head is 50.5 cms (19.7 inches). In the past 6 months she has put on 1.35 kilos (just under 3 pounds), grew 4.3 cms (1.7 inches) and her head grew just half a cm (1/5 of an inch). She is at about 50% for her height now (down from 90% at 12 months), and over 100% for her weight and head (she was at her 12 month appt too). The nurse said if she is still overweight (!!!) at her 2 year check up we will need to see a dietician. Oh my goodness. I really don't think so. The nurse is lovely and all, but no. Ruby is fine. Yes she is a big girl, but she doesn't look massive, she just looks like a chubby healthy toddler. We can all tell she is starting to get a little bit leaner now, so I am not going to worry. But part of you does. Good lord, who'd have thought I be here now when 18 months ago I had a kid who didn't even weigh 4 pounds. She has consistently put on weight since she was born, she only ever lost weight once, when she was a few weeks old and her feeds were temporarily stopped while she had some medical issues going on. Am I meant to starve her? And I think slowing down to only a 3 pound gain in 6 months is perfect, right on target for a more active kiddo.

6 is as high as diapers go, to my knowledge. I really don't know what we're gonna do if Ethan doesn't take to the potty soon. Pull ups are tight on him!

Lylmiss - cloth diapers, maybe? I dunno what you do after size 6.
crazycaro - don't worry about her weight! She is healthy! I know its hard not to worry, as I sometimes do with a 97% weight girl, myself, but God makes kids in all sizes.

Oh, I'm so sad to see this thread isn't active anymore! My DD is 12 weeks old, 16 pounds, and I think around 25". She's pretty much >90% in all the categories except for head circumference (which is about 80%), and her weight was greater than 95% at her 2 month WBV. She's EBF (never had formula so supposedly she can't be overfed) and is an Asian baby (which I'm told are usually smaller than Caucasian babies) so we get comments from people all the time about how huge she looks.
I would LOVE to reactivate this thread or be referred to a new thread, if there is one!

smilesHello fellow May mommy.:D
I'm not sure how much Kyle weighs right now but at his 2 month check up he weighed 14 lbs 5 ozs. I'm sure he's at least 16 lbs now. Every.single.person. that sees him always has a comment on his weight. He's also EBF but I also calm him by bf so that doesn't help I'm sure.
But my first son was huge also and now he's a skinny minny. He's 28 1/2 lbs which puts him at 50th % for his age group.
This pic. really shows his rolls.LOL

Haven't been here in ages but my almost 3 year old (in Oct.) is still huge! She is about 38lbs and about 40in. I don't think she has been on the charts since birth! My second daughter is a whole lot smaller and in the 80% for everything.

DD is about 24 or 25 pounds (we weigh her on our adult scale with me holding her!) and around 30" or 31" at almost 15 months. Not sure where that is on the % scale, but she is FINALLY starting to slim down. Her legs/thighs now have only 2 "rubber band" like segments, instead of multiple ones. Her arms are also getting skinnier.
FWIW, I know I was still a bit worried about her size at 12 months old (even though everyone said she'd start losing weight when she started crawling/walking). I don't think I'm overly paranoid, as she really eats so much! All the daycare teachers and even some of the parents tell me how impressed they are with her appetite. :)
At least I'm finally feeling comfortable about her weight, as she isn't as huge as she once was.

Birth Weight: 10 lbs. 1oz.
Birth Length: 22 inches
at 2 months he was 14lbs, 8oz & 23 3/4 in
at 4 months he was 19lbs & 27.5 in (95%)
Current Age:5 months
Current Weight: about 22lbs
Current Length: ?
Current Clothing Range: 6-12m, 12m depending on the brand
Current Diaper Size: size 3 - but ready for size 4
Feeding: formula fed, rice cereal, fruits and veggies
question for you guys - DD never finished off a whole jar of stage 1 foods... but DS is polishing off 2 jars in one sitting and could eat more, but i'm limiting him to 1 jar... how much solids were your kids eating around 5-6m?

At 6 months I was feeding 1 jar of stage 2 which is 4oz I think. Stage 1 is 2.5oz, right?? My DD1 was not much of a bottle kid so I made sure she got what she needed and let her have the baby food. My second wasnt even eating solids until much, much later :)
I participated in this thread a while back - DS is *still* large. At his 3yo WBV, he was 46 lbs. and 41.5 inches. Off the charts for both weight and height. My biggest frustration is still that people mistake him for a much older child with developmental delays.
njnewyearsbride - IIRC, DS could easily eat 2 jars in a sitting. As long as your DS's formula intake is not lower, you can probably feed him 2 jars.
