Hi Jen. Becca has had only one ear infection, so I don't recall all the details, but my threshold for going to the doctor's/ER is 104 - don't even know if that's "right" - but she's had two 104 fevers rectally and we've gone both times. 103.7 is pretty darn close. When she had her 104 fever two weeks ago, which we now know was a bladder infection (UTI), once we started her on the antibiotics the fever was normal within 24 hours.
Speaking of which, we just got back from the follow-up doctor's appointment for Becca (we finished the amoxicillin on Wed.).
The good news? She weighs 19 lb. 12 oz., up from 18 lb. 14 oz. at her 15 month WBV.
The bad news? The doctor thinks she might be prone to urinary tract infections. Since the 104 fever she had in December was never explained completely - they couldn't get a urine sample then - he thinks maybe it was the same thing and if so that means she's had a UTI twice and she's prone to it. So they scheduled her for a kidney ultrasound and a test to check out her ureters (using a catheter and dye) next Friday. :( Poor kid, but we do need to do the test.
Lara - great update on the car situation. Glad it worked out!
The separation anxiety is getting better for us. They've made some changes in the morning routine at daycare and that seems to have helped tremendously. She doesn't cry anymore when I leave; she's too busy playing. I'm so happy about that. She also is getting much better with DH, finally. There were a couple of months there when she was in a "mommy only" stage, which was tough for both DH and I, for different reasons! Now, like Ashley, she cries when she's inside because she wants to go OUT. She says "out" now and points at the door. She also is saying "up," "bubbles," and "ball" regularly (plus mama and dada - even a little of "mom"/"mommy" now), and sporadically "hi" and "doggie."

Jenzen Congratulations on finding out you are having a DAUGHTER!!
I am reading along and nodding my head ITA regarding climbing, testing limits and all the other cute and annoying toddler behavior you all are describing.
Lara, glad to hear your ticket woes are lessened!

Weekend Update:
Had a good weekend, drove up to MD for my sister's graduation from my Alama Mater with her MBA! She's had her diploma since Dec, but chose to go through the ceremony, it was cool and semi-surreal to be back on campus again especially during graduation, kind-of took me back 6yrs. But it was good to see the family and hang out. We stayed at my parent's house and I think by far that was the wierdest sensation of them all, I haven't spent the night @ my parent's house in 6yrs...so it was sort of wierd but nice.
After graduation we headed to lunch down the road a bit from Hood, then had a BBQ @ my parents house for dinner. Mom and I went out and did some shopping, we stopped @ a Wiccan shop so she could show me around and show me some tools of the trade, and then over to Target so I could get some new jeans (put a hole in my 1 pair, oy! and at the knee) and yesterday (Sunday) we headed over to Antoinette's for a visit, the kids LOVED it! As did Antoinette, she loved seeing the kids. Ashley remembered her Ante and she was more than happy to see her, giving her hugs and kissses and hanging on her the whole time we were there. Austin 1st thing out of the car said "Mommy go work, Daddy go work, we stay here" Awww! Then he didn't want to leave when it was time to go home...awww!!!! I know it made Ante's weekend.
After there we went to Chipotle for lunch (we don't have one in Wilmington) and hit the road! That's our weekend in a nutshell!

Jen - Congratulations! Having a daughter is wonderful!!!
Just popping in to say hi! I get about 30 seconds of free time each day. My hubby is pretty much on E duty and I'm on baby duty. E is a sponge these days. She's learning so quickly and becoming so much more interactive. No climbing here. No words. But, she's moving around like a dickens. She loves, loves, loves to kiss her little sister. Tantrums are a daily event in our house....anything can set one off. If this is the precursor to the terrible twos, lord help us! ;)

Exactly! Sometimes I feel like I'm in the terrible 2's now! Good to hear from you, Amanda, glad to hear all is well.
Lara - for some reason I can't see your photos. I'll have to try at work tomorrow! :p
Still not too much going on here.... Becca had fun last night watching the birds - she loves birds these days! We got her a picnic table this weekend (and lots of other toys from my co-worker who lives 5 minutes from us and whose youngest is now 6) that's on our teeny-tiny back deck now and she's enjoying testing her limits with that now, too. She tried to climb on the top of it, which makes her then precariously close to the deck railing, so I may have to re-think having it set up now, and wait a few more months. :D

Lara - I can't see your images, either.
Thanks everyone for the congrats! I'm still getting used to the idea of having a girl, but I'm super excited.
Gabe is FINALLY doing better. He had an allergic reaction to the amoxicillin (sp?) so we had to switch his meds. Now that he's on something different, he's finally back to himself. This morning was the first morning in a week that he hasn't screamed and cried at breakfast. I can't tell you how nice that was. DH and I were at our wit's end.
New words this week: bubbles, please and bird.
Oh, and I LOVE when he says, "whoah!" The funniest part is that he uses it correctly, like when he's really in awe of something. For instance, I set the whole cereal container on the table the other day, and he, all wide-eyed, said "whoah!"
He also tried to feed my belly toast the other day.

Hey, Jen - isn't it cute when they say bubbles? Becca loves her bubbles!
Btw, I have been calling Becca "pumpkin princess" lately - don't even ask why, frankly I have no idea, it's just been coming out. But seeing your signature reminded me of that.... I was even thinking last night maybe she'll be a "pumpkin princess" (whatever that is) for Halloween! Of course, this year, she may have her own opinion on what she wants to be for Halloween. Anyway, congrats again on, as Lara says, joining the pink club! :D

I use Photobucket, Snapfish, or Dropshots now - but it may not be you, it could be our computers. Sometimes I can see the photos at work and not at home or vice-versa. I've never really figured out why that is, but I'll let you know tomorrow if I can see them from work....
