I was searching for a cooking class to take with a friend and one of the class menus is for French Classics. Sounds great but I can't figure out what the dishes are. If any one can translate or at least explain, I'd really appreciate it.
Menu:
Gougères
Salade des Moines
Poussin Vallée dAuge
Gratin Dauphinois
Amuse Bouche

I didn't know what a salade des moines was, but I googled it, and I found a translation of the entire menu!
Gougeres (French Cheese Puffs), Salade des Moines (Green Salad with Citeaux Cheese Croutons), Sole Meuniere (Sole sauteed in Butter) or Poussin Vallee d’Auge (Baby Chicken wth Calvados and Cream), Gratin Dauphinois (Potatoes baked in Milk and Cream), Souffle au Chocolat (Chocolate Souffle)

Thank you so much. That's the exact menu. I tried googling separate words too but didn't come up with the whole menu.

Gratin Dauphinois is SO yummy, and so are gougeres. We made both dishes in my cooking class.
Have fun in your class! :)
