Does my carseat have to be a special kind to use on the airplane? Do they actually check if it does? Do you know where I can find out if my is approved for flights if this is neccesary.
Im actually using a carseat that my mom bought for her car when she has DD so I think the carseat is a Cosco Triad.
Anyone know?
Thanks! :)

There should be a sticker on the side of the carseat that says, "This restraint certified for use in motor vehicles and aircraft." We just took a trip using our graco snugride on the plane, and it was fine. I imagine most major brands of infant seats would be okay. I think the sticker is green? Anyway, it's a big thing; you couldn't miss it.

Almost all infant seats are the same size now and they should all fit fine in an airplane. If you're flying internationally there are some airlines that offer basinetts in the seats at little or no charge.
