Anyone catch Prison Break on Fox tonight? If so, what are your thoughts? Did you like it? DH and I both LOVED it!! We both looked at eachother at the end and said...I'm hooked!

If you didn't see it tonight I heard they are re-airing it this Thursday at 8pm (on Fox).SHOW DESCRIPTION:
Michael Scofield is a desperate man in a desperate situation. His brother, Lincoln Burrows, is on death row and scheduled to die in a few months for a murder Michael is convinced Lincoln did not commit. With no other options and time winding down, Michael holds up a bank to get himself incarcerated alongside his brother in Fox River State Penitentiary. Once he's inside, we learn that Michael -- a structural engineer with the blueprints for the prison -- has hatched an elaborate plan to break Lincoln out and prove his innocence. Senior correctional officer Bellick offers some prison wisdom as Michael arrives. Then, with the help of his cellmate Sucre, Michael begins to align himself with a disparate group of prisoners -- including former mob boss John Abruzzi, and Charles Westmoreland, a man some believe to be the infamous skyjacker D.B. Cooper. On the outside Michael has only one ally, his defense attorney and longtime friend, Veronica Donovan -- who is Lincoln's former girlfriend. Meanwhile, Lincoln's 15-year-old son, LJ, is now adrift without his Uncle Michael's positive influence.Source: Yahoo! Tv

We watched it, and it really sucked us in. And it was filmed here in Illinois for the most part. :D I'm wondering how quickly they'll actually breakout?
And he is a total hottie:

DH and I watched this show tonight, and we'll definitely be watching every week - another one to add to our list of shows: Lost, Rome, Survivor, and now Prison Break.

Wentworth Miller is totally hot! Isn't he in Mariah Carey's video of 'We Belong Together'? I'm sure it's him - he has that same frowning expression :)

I can't believe he got his toe chopped off- ouch! I like his cellmate and how they're following his story too. So there's one month til the execution so they'll be breaking out in the first season for sure. Should be good.

The Shawshank Redemption is my all-time favourite movie so I was hooked the moment I saw the preview. Hopefully it'll live up to my expectations...so far so good :)

Pretty hot? Very YUM YUM! :D

I am hooked as well. When he took off his shirt to reveal the hidden map, I said "OMG, that is amazing!" hidden blueprints on his body?! WOW

I just hope they can keep the show as interesting as it was tonight. I will we watching new week for sure!

DH watched it, and he loved it. I was at class, so I missed most of it. I caught the tail end of it, and it seemed pretty good. I'm going to have to record the repeat so I can get caught up. I really liked that the show seemed more like a movie than a TV show, plus the plot sounds really interesting.

I'm hooked....said so out loud to myself after it ended. I told DH (who wasn't home) that he'd love it too and he agreed that the plot sounded like something he'd be interested in...but that he was so afraid to get sucked into another show. Me too...but too late :D

OMG- we loved it. I normally don't like prison movies bc of the violence (there is something about men beating eachother to a pulp that freaks me out- plus i cannot stand rape scenes and was expecting that). I digress- I thought it was fantastic.....and the actor who plays michael schofield is so easy on the eyes- how could you not watch.

Lainey- awesome call. I think he is the dude from Mariah's video.

Ditto!

I really enjoyed this show. Told my DH he's got to catch the re-air tomorrow night. For some reason I feel like this will be a one season show, how long can they keep the story going once they break out? Actually, I just looked up FOX's line-up and this is only going to be on through December then 24 moves into its time slot so it will be a short season for sure. Doesn't say if it's a one season show though.

My guess is that they planned it as a one season show. The mobster guy is fairly big in the movies and I can't see him locking himself into a multi-season show, especially on FOX.

how does the mobster play into this whole story line, does anyone know? When they showed him in the first or 2nd episode (can't remember which one), I couldn't figure out the relevance to the rest of the storyline.

any guesses as to who the mystery lady is that's calling the shots?

I wonder if the lasy calling the shots might be the President... they haven't referred to a gender have they?

She's the dysfuntional girl who shaved her head in the movie "Empire Records"!

DH watched it and it sucked me in, too! I saw it promo'ed and I kinda rolled my eyes and thought, "Prison Break...shouldn't that be about 2 episodes? You KNOW what's going to happen!" Um...I was wrong.

I wonder if the lasy calling the shots might be the President.

I thought about this too, although they are not showing her in any Presidential setting. I would be disappointed in that answer because it is too predictable and the show hasn't been super-predictable yet.

Then again, the Secret Service is involved. I wonder if she is the mother of the President... Or maybe the head of an international corporation. There was a remark made about the dead VP's brother looking into alternative energy sources, etc., and maybe someone wanted to stop that.

Is it me or did she suddenly acquire a semi-southern accent? Her character seems to have changed since the first episode but not convincingly.

My guess right now (but subject to change) is the lady calling the shots is the Vice President.

Hmm googd thought about the mystery woman. She is certinaly comeone important, but I don't think she is someone who is a major polital figure because they always show her at home cooking. I am thinking someone important mother/sister/wife.

Yeah, that's my guess, too. Or the president or vice-president herself, if they're trying to throw us for a loop.

Cliff and I have been watching this and really enjoying it. I've had to suspend some reality because I know too much about the prison system from my work to believe that Michael could ever get into the prison the way he did, but once I let that go, I enjoy it *so* much!

The toe thing was sickening. I had to cover my eyes and ears, too. It was so gross that they included that in the opening previews again last night. :( Gross!!!

I really like all the characters, though, and the pace of the plot development. I love that it keeps getting better and better each week. And it looks like we're going to see our first breakouts next week, so that would be cool! :)

Because I didn't know much about Wentworth before this (he is SO gorgeous to me though), I looked him up on imdb...

Here is his biography...

Biography for
Wentworth Miller

Nickname

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Height
6' 0½" (1.84 m)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mini biography
Wentworth Miller had his first taste of stardom in a role as the sensitive and introverted David in ABC's mini-series "Dinotopia" (2002/I) (mini). The very successful longform from Robert Halmi Sr. was a combination of character-driven action and state-of-the-art special effects, and was a story about a world where humans and dinosaurs live together in a magical civilization. From this effects-driven adventure story, Miller moved to one of Hollywood's favorite new projects, The Human Stain (2003), for Miramax. Having recently finished on location in Montreal, Miller had the opportunity to observe and work with Anthony Hopkins. The two share the film's central character, Coleman Silk, Miller playing him as a young man before the story moves forward in the tempestuous life of this Ivy League professor.

Miller has at least one thing more in common with the great British Hopkins: though he was raised in Brooklyn, Miller was actually born in the UK - in Chipping Norton, England where his father, a Rhodes Scholar, was studying.

A graduate of Princeton, Miller's stage time during college was spent singing, and he traveled the world performing with the school's famed a capella group, The Princeton Tigertones. For reasons still a mystery to himself, his family and his friends, the young graduate headed to Los Angeles to pursue a behind-the-scenes career in the entertainment industry. And while he was able, with enviable ease, to turn an internship into a paying job and an actual burgeoning career, before long the drive to move in front of the camera became inescapable.

With the support of committed management, within a couple of years Miller landed guest spots, learned fast and earned attention on series including "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" (1997) and "Popular" (1999). Dinotopia was his first starring role, and The Human Stain will be his first feature.

Currently, Miller has just finished working in Europe on his latest project Underworld (2003/I).

Wentworth Miller (what a name!!) is soooooo freaking hot it rocks my socks. From his other pictuers, it looks like they made him tan a little for the part. He wasn't too cute with longer hair but with the buzz cut... yummmmm.

Oh man, what a tense episode! A few thoughts:

I am even more convinced that the conspiracy has something to do with alternative energy, as it was mentioned again in this episode.

I am surprised that they didn't just kill the creepy little guy (what's his name? he calls himself the wolf...) when he saw the hole in the wall. It seems like it would be easier in the long run.

Did anyone else notice the strange editing? I don't know if they were goofs or part of the show's style...there were a couple of things that were out of whack in the timeline: a guard was shown standing behind another guard in the beginning, and then in the next shot he was shown approaching; the doctor was shown crouching beside the examining table, and then Scofield saw her at the window, and then in the next shot she was beside the table again. It was weird.

I kept yelling at the Dr. telling her to do somthing. I know she was scared, but she must have had more medical supplies in the room she could've used to protect her.

The poor doctor, I know Michael will get her out but really to be surrounded by all those angry, desperate guys....OMG really scary. And what about Lincoln??? Why did he trust that guy??? What's going to happen???  I know he's not going to get killed off, but I'm like biting my nails wondering how he's going to get out of this....

It was weird how Lincoln just went with that guy, I got the impression he was friends with him. Maybe the "bad people" somehow got a message to that guy to hurt Lincoln? I know that I'm a few days late on comments from this week's epi, but DH and I just watched it on TIVO. I am bummed about the 3 week break b/c this show is really getting good. And I will definitely miss seeing Wentworth Miller's pretty pretty face on my screen each week. Am I the only crazy one out here who is really concerned over what happened to the cat? When she ran out of the cell last week, I screamed, and this week, when the show was over, I turned to DH and said "what about the cat?" Yes, throughout all of the fighting and killing, I am most concerned about the cat. Would it have killed the producers to show a quick scene of the kitty hidden away under a bunk or peeing on T-Bag's bed just to let us viewers know she's ok? I swear I'm not a crazy cat lady, so I'll move on now.

Spoiler about the woman on the phone: (highlight for text)
I read somewhere this week that the woman shown speaking on the phone is actually the vice president. Pretty cool twist!!

I'm not sure they can kill the "Wolf" guy. It's so painful to watch him in every scene, but he's an incredible character and someone everyone can hate. He's really quite the villain and TV hasn't had anyone so bad in a good show in a looong time (that I can think of anyway).

Great show last night!

I was shocked that LJ's parents were killed too, although I am not sure why--- the VP is ruthless! (mel7dog: The woman was Lincoln's ex, and the man was her new husband. In a previous episode we saw that LJ and the man didn't get along, so that made the scene even more poignant.)

I am so ashamed that it didn't occur to me that the mystery woman was the VP. I just assumed the VP was a man. Oh well.

OK, I'm rapidly losing respect for Dr. Tancredi after yesterday's episode. Yes, Wentworth Miller is irresistable, but don't go simpering to him about how he's leading you on! Have some self-respect, woman!

And while we're on the subject of dumb things people did in the last episode, when you knock out the Secret Service agent who's trying to kill you, take his gun before you go and untie everyone else!

It was never a one-season show. All shows created hope to be renewed for additional seasons - there was no deal for it to be a one-off. I remember when we saw the pilot because we wondered how the world the show would go on after the "Prison Break" - like we wondered how LOST could be a series.

They are setting up "life outside" pretty well lately with a few story lines:

1. Not knowing if the John Arbuzzi mob guy is dead or alive. If they escape you can be sure he goes after T-bag, the disgusting guy.

2. Introducing the character who is with them but has lied to his wife about being in the army/marines in Iraq.

3. Tbag going back after the killers of his brother and nephew.

there are quite a few story lines we could go on.

From an article about American Idol on http://www.realitytvworld.com/index/articles/story.php?s=3858

"As for Skating With Celebrities, Fox will give it a high-profile post-Idol premiere on Wednesday, January 18 at 9PM ET/PT, but after that the show will move to its regular Mondays at 8PM ET/PT time period for the duration of its run. Once Skating ends, Prison Break, the new Fox drama that just broadcast its "fall finale," will make an earlier than originally expected return by taking over the time period beginning Monday, March 13. Filling Fox's Mondays at 9PM ET/PT hour beginning January 16 will be the fifth season of Kiefer Sutherland's 24 drama

"With all of the speculation and rumor, it's great to finally announce the premiere of the second half of our season," Fox entertainment president Peter Liguori stated in the network's announcement of its midseason schedule. "It takes discipline to hold back 24 and American Idol, but doing so allows us to strengthen our schedule across the week and to give our viewers nonstop excitement from January through May."

"I'm also pleased to announce that we're bringing back Prison Break earlier than planned because fans are demanding it and because it's a fantastic companion for 24," Liguori added. "All of this necessitates some other moves, but we're keeping House behind the Idol performance show, where it performed so successfully last year."

I still can't figure out why they think the VP's brother is still alive? I watched the last episode last week (though only half-heartedly) and didn't catch it and didn't remember it from the last time around.

It was a little hard to get back into, but I am glad it is back. I was a little afraid I would be too mentally exhausted after it to enjoy '24'.

I know in my heart of hearts that Lincoln doesn't die (he just can't!) but from the previews for next week, they definitely keep us guessing.

This is my understanding of the future of the show....(?Spoilers??)

-They will break out of prison eventually, though not determined when (ie before the end of this season, or as a cliff-hanger at the end of this season)
-Then the show will be more like 'The Fugutive'
-I think the writers have determined that they will only have it on for 2 seasons (I thought I had originally seen 3 seasons, but that is too long)

DH and I got hooked on this too last season and couldn't believe we had to wait until March to see the continuation. I can't believe it finally aired. We enjoyed it, I had a feeling that we wouldn't know exactly what happens to Linc before the end of the episode.

I forgot that the guys were still in the guard break room, fixing it up overnight. I nearly had a heartattack when the head guard guy went in, then I realized he had them stay there until they finished.

Don't you find it strange that they all talk very freely about what they are doing, like Michael and the older guy while walking with a ton of other prisoners? Wouldn't you not want anyone to hear what you are talking about? Like the stupid young punk kid?

Can't wait until next week...

That's what I was thinking too. They are going to rely on dental impressions and that's it? I've watched too many soap operas where people have made dental records look like someone elses.

I kept thinking last night that the fact that it is now snowing might have some bearing in the future, like them leaving tracks or something. Because it sure got cold fast!

She will bring it to his attention..or she may even suspect that one of the guards is abusin Michael.

The whole denture thing was pretty interesting. Why does a woman VP have to be such a crimminal bitch? So unfortunate but I guess it makes good TV.

I thought it was insightful. I felt bad for the military guy who got dishonorably discharged. I thought it was a little crazy that Lincoln passed Fernando on the street though. He just happens to pass by his brother's future cell mate?

All in all a good episode. I did find it strange that the Dr. was a drug addict. I suppose that is why her father dislikes her so? And maybe why she is working at the prison b/c she can't get a job elsewhere? That was an interesting twist.

I was just amazed on how much information they fit into one hour of TV. While part of it was similar to Lost, it would have taken Lost 1/2 a season to tell us that much information.

I really thought T-Bag was going to be a child molester, not a murderer. I got all skeeved out when he was kissing the mom.

In prison do they really have murderers and lifers in the same area as people who hold up convenience stores?

I think they will all escape and like the Fugitive figure out the rest of the VP brother is alive story when they are on the outside.

But now that we know all the back stories, I hope they don't concentrate too much on everyone else (ie T-bag going after that woman, etc.) but I bet they will so they can drag it out for at least a whole nother season.

I am also wondering if the security guard has it out for Michael more because he sees the doctor's feelings about Michael and he's pissed that she turned him down.

Do you have to be in prison in the state the crime was committed? I don't follow crimes or prisons, but the only person in prison I can think of was Timothy McVey...he was in prison in Indiana. Maybe you aren't always in prison where you committed the crime???

emschwar
04-05-2006, 10:07 AM
McVey's was a federal crime though. So he just had to be in a federal prison. I could be wrong, but I think generally, in a state crime, you're imprisoned in the state where you commited the crime/were convicted.

Maybe the kids were kidnapped, taken across state lines and then murdered?? Okay, so I'm grasping a bit....but it's not as much fun when there are obvious gaps in the story line. I don't really follow how T-Bag ended up in prison in Illinois, either. They could have inserted a few different twists in the plot to explain that, so I'm kinda annoyed that they didn't. :(

But the electric chair really is much more dramatic than lethal injection, so at least it is understandable that they went that route. :)

solongtogo, I've read that about Stacy Keatch, who plays the warden, a few different places, too. Pretty interesting!

Stacy Keach Biography (http://www.hollywood.com/celebs/fulldetail/id/194440)
Television, however, has provided Keach with his biggest success--the hard-boiled fictional detective Mike Hammer. He had attempted series TV before with a regular stint on NBC's "Get Smart" during the 1967-68 season and headlining the short-lived crime series "Caribe" (ABC, 1975), but Mike Hammer earned him respectful reviews and an audience following. Its success was interrupted during the first season (1984-85) when, while visiting England, Keach was arrested for possession of cocaine and sentenced to a short jail term. Rather than break parole, the actor returned to London, served his time and performed the requisite community service. Upon returning to the USA, he reprised Mike Hammer in a TV-movie that led to a second series version which lasted only one season.

Well, like in Lincoln's case, he was charged with 1st degree murder and his case was The State of Illinois vs. Lincoln Burrows.

I guess T-Bag would have probably kidnapped the students. I don't think you even need to cross state lines for that to be a federal offense, and he would have been arrested in Illinois. But, like I said, don't really know how it all works.

I don't think you need to feel nerdy. *You* didn't use it as a pick-up line! ;)

And if T-Bag's case had been in federal court, he'd have been sent to a federal prison, not an Illinois state prison. The only way it makes sense for him to be in state prison in Illinois is if he committed enough of his crime there to be prosecuted there. A good example of that is something that happened in the Kansas City metro area. There was a serial killer here, John Robinson, who committed crimes on both sides of the state line. They prosecuted him first in Kansas on only some of the murders because our death penalty is available in narrower circumstances. If they didn't get a conviction, they wanted to still have the opportunity to prosecute him for other murders he committed in Missouri. Luckily, they did convict him in Kansas, and he was sentenced to death. They tried to get him to tell them where to find the bodies of the victims they hadn't yet recovered in exchange for a plea in Missouri state court, but he didn't help them. So, finally, with the agreement of the victims' families, they let him plead guilty to five counts of first-degree murder and be sentenced to life without parole. (see Serial murderer admits to killing 5 more women (http://www2.ljworld.com/news/2003/oct/17/serial_murderer_admits/))

The irony is that the Kansas death penalty statute has been ruled unconstitutional by our state supreme court and the US Supreme Court is hearing that case now. If the US Supreme Court agrees with the Kansas Supreme Court, Robinson won't be able to be put to death in either state. However, charges have been brought against him in federal court for a murder he hasn't been tried for yet, so there is still a chance he could be convicted of murder in federal court and put to death. (see Death penalty again sought against John Robinson (http://www.kansascity.com/mld/kansascity/13999754.htm))

And now that I've told you more than you *ever* wanted to know, I'll shut up. ;) :)

Just jumping in here. But I think the prison they are in is a Federal Prison, and that is kinda how they can all be in there together.

If you remember from WAY back in the beginning, Michael robs the bank and discharges a weapon, which makes the crime a federal crime. If he would have just robbed a bank, and not discharged the weapon (perhaps it even has to be an automatic...I'm not sure). He wouldn't have ended up in a FEDERAL prison, and couldn't have requested the prison that Linc was in.

The only two that don't make sense of being federal crimes is Michael's cell mate, and the guy who is pretending he is in Iraq.

Granted, I know practically nothing about law or the prison system, but that was the impression I got from the show.

LOL - that was funny, I was thinking who tries to pick up a chick by using a gift card!

There was a guy I knew in college who would've tried that! He bragged that he had "platinum credit cards" and thought money was everything. I think a big part of that was that HAD NONE! ;) He was all about the "show". Anyway, he grunted a lot and my friends and I nick-named him "Grunt". He never knew. This whole scene reminded me of a "Grunt-Like Scene". HE would so try to pick up someone like that!

That does sound familiar, now that you mention it. Though, if that is the case, if is completely silly for them to have the Governor involved during the prison riot (the state has nothing to do with a federal prison) and it wouldn't make sense to try to convince the Governor to pardon Lincoln. Ugh. I need to stop this overanalyzing! I either need to go with the flow or stop watching. :)

According to the show's website (:o ) Fox River is a state prison.

I have a murky memory that Michael discharged his weapon in the bank because he wanted to end up in a maximum security prison, and Fox River was the most likely place for him to be sent (but I could be remembering that incorrectly).

I found it, I found it!!! This is from the Fox website...the Bio section! I don't think I've ever been the first explained something.

Upon Bagwell’s release four years ago, he immediately went back to his life of crime, including a rape and murder spree across Alabama that included several teenage victims and landed him among America's most wanted criminals. Once captured, his attorney petitioned for Bagwell to be incarcerated out of state, for fear of re-establishing power in the Alliance for Purity. When Bagwell landed in Fox River ten months ago, its chapter of the Alliance was non-existent. Thanks to the charismatic “T-Bag,” now it is one of the most powerful gangs in the prison

Awwww great episode!! I LOVE this show.

First I can't believe Veronica's partner is really wokring for the other side! It really seemed like he was helping her giving her clues, but now is he setting her up to be killed. At the same time I am confused because wasn't he injured as well and hunted? Maybe there are two groups of people with 2 agendas involved and one group was after him?

I did not see that car accident coming at all! I should have known when the "Pope" said these things are never granted.

I can't wait for Michael and the Dr to make out. Finally :) There is so much sexual tension there. I relaly hope she is able to help him and believes what really happened.

The way they set up that dirty guard last night was great. Those guys are so smart. I only wonder how they are going to get another person to escape with them though. Doens't seem very realistic that many guys will be able to escape.

For a second I thought the guy who was talking to Veronica's partner looked like Lincoln & Michael's father, but I don't think so. He was injured by the guy that ended up dead in the well by the cabin in the woods. I guess only time will tell who he is actually working for.

I did not see that car accident coming at all! I should have known when the "Pope" said these things are never granted.

I too didn't see if coming...I jumped off the couch saying OMG!!! However, you are so right about what the Pope said and when Lincoln was just looking at the window and everything was going as planned it just seemed to simple.

Doens't seem very realistic that many guys will be able to escape.

I still don't understand how they are going to get out of there. Since they had to fill in the hole and now they have to go out side before getting into the next set of pipes. Plus that is a lot of people to keep track of while trying to escape and getting Lincoln out.

I too was surprised by Veronica's partner - I was very confused about who he was talking to.

I said to DH as the van was driving off that it was going to be like the Fugitive and Lincoln would be involved in an accident. I figured that the VP woman would allow the visit b/c she wanted her people to kill him. However I was surprised that they had Linc go to the son and not the other way around since Linc seems more dangerous than a teenager. THat's what tipped me off to the "accident".

I think you are on to something with the "laundry guy". He'll never fit!

BrownEyedGirl
04-18-2006, 09:37 AM
Why isn't this a five night a week show!! I don't know if I can wait another six days!

As for Veronica's partner...I never saw that coming. I do think there are two side working..."The company" and the VP. Who knows what side wants what...but it will be interesting to see how it plays out.

So here's my question...Michael committed a crime to get into prison, Lincoln didn't commit a crime. If Linc actually gets the evidence to prove that, is Michael going to get any leeway to get out of prison early???

mel7dog
04-18-2006, 12:28 PM
Good question BrownEyedGirl! But Michael didn't actually "commit" the crime. Sure he went into a bank to rob it and fired a gun in the air, but he really didn't "do" anything. Maybe they'd be able to work something out.

I'm glad we have established there are two sides, "The Company" and the "VP". It looks like the VP just wants Linc dead and everything they do revolves around that. Maybe The Company is against the VP and has something to do with politics and her not being re-elected? Remember the "bodyguard" who was shot mentioned that to her at the end, or soemthing similar?

I LOVE this show!

Spoiler from tvguide below:

This isn't a word-for-word quote, but a blurb from tvguide makes it sound like the whole framing Linc thing is to get their dad out of hiding because he is a rogue operative of some sort of CIA-like group that wants to take over the presidency

When Veronica's partner was first introduced I assumed he would end up being bad, but then he seemed so good so I thought I was wrong. But isn't he being forced to turn against her? I didn't think he was being that way of his own free will.

Things are seeming a little far fetched - I mean come on, if anyone was going to be visiting anyone, wouldn't it be the son visiting Lincoln, the convicted murderer days away from being executed? I couldn't help but thinking about the Fugitive when the crash happened (okay, I cheated, I looked ahead a week during an ad in the DVR guide so I knew Linc was in an accident).

Yeah, I don't see the big cousin going anywhere- he wouldn't fit and he can't run.

The set-up was wonderful!!

Yes I saw that as well. I forget his name as well, so we'll go with "stabbed guy" for now. I'm thinking he was off getting well somewhere. Now I wonder if he's going to want back into the escape. em, I don't think you missed much. Linc's dad took Linc to a junkyard where he was hiding out I guess. Cops came to crash site where bad shades dude (lets call him BSD) had a ice pack on his head. Bad prison guard (BSG, forget his name) asks where BSD was coming from and where he was going. He said Chicago to Aurora (I think) which BSG said was out of the way. BSD said he wasn't from around here.

BSD gets in his car where he has a walkie talkie and keep track of cops progress of finding Linc. I think that's basically it. :)

I'm guessing a bit of both, but I thought at first he was trying to grab the keys out of her pocket. He didn't ultimately get them so I dunno...

I also think they are no longer going thru the guard room floor. Remember when they tried to escape the first time, they couldn't get Linc out from the infirmary b/c they had closed off the floor vent thing by putting that pipe in? Since then, they've had to modify the escape route and as ignutzz said it's going to involve the psych ward.

I LOVE THIS SHOW!!! I am so hooked. I screamed when he was in the 'walls' and the guard comes in and then they cut to commerical. AHHHH!

Wentworth Miller (what a name!!) is soooooo freaking hot it rocks my socks. From his other pictuers, it looks like they made him tan a little for the part. He wasn't too cute with longer hair but with the buzz cut... yummmmm.

No - if you look at his bio, you'll see that he's of AA (listed FIRST) and Jamaican descent - I don't think he had to tan much.

He probably looks paler in winter than in warmer months, just like the rest of us - even us AA people. My sister constantly jokes me about how pale I get in the winter - fortunately for her, her skin color is like belgian chocolate, so she always looks warmly tanned.

I hope the Fox dudes understand how into the show we all are, so either don't start it until '24' comes on (though it would be torture waiting until January) or do it all at once in the beginning of the season. That is what the 'Lost' people are contemplating right now - how to not loose so many viewers by stretching out the season and having tons of repeats.

I loved last night's episode. I felt so bad for "DB Cooper". All he wanted was to see his daughter. I think now that they are out, Lincoln will become the leader. I am excited to see how they develop his character. He hasn't had much of a chance to do anything so far.

What are they going to do about Haywire and Tweener? Just let them go their own way? Are they all going to end up helping each other on the outside or are they all going to go separate ways?

Who would have thought I would care about a bunch of criminals?!? It's not just Michael and Lincoln, I want to know what happens to all of them. I like them all (even T-bag) in some form!

That's interesting b/c I felt the same way last night. When they showed each person (I think it was last night) and why they wanted to get out I really felt bad for them...

DH commented, they've gone from a plot driven story to a character driven story and I agreed. Last season I barely cared for any of the secondary characters but now I definitely want to know what happens to all of them.

This show is really great. I felt bad for the guy who didn't make it... but he never would have made it across that wire thing... he was too heavy, imo... poor kid.

I guess that 5 million will be for next season... is this just going to go on and on and on and on... if they ever prove that Lincoln was innocent, it will be over, won't it?

Or will they all have to go back to jail for the crimes they committed to get out?

I would assume if they get caught they'll have to serve the time they had left plus 10 years for the breakout. Not sure if Lincoln would have to though, since he's the only innocent one in the group.

Michael looked hot as the "cop"!

He sure did!!! :D :D

I, too, felt sorry for "DB Cooper" not making it out. :(

wow I can't believe no on has posted about the finale.

Can you believe that Tweener may be the "safest" of them all? Anyone else think that the "poison" was for the VP, it totally floored me that they killed the pres.

And Haywire riding that bike w/ the football helmet cracked me up.

I thought it was ridiculous that Teabag was running in the woods w/ his hand cut off (totally saw that one coming though - just like "24").

Also I thought it was a bit much that Dr. T overdosed...

over all it was pretty suspenseful/entertaining.

How do they end the show like that??? I don't know if I can make it all summer trying to figure out if hottie and hotties' brother (Michael and Lincoln) make it to freedom.

Definitely didn't expect the President to die

Didn't expect Sarah to overdose- I was hoping she'd be part of the 'fugitive' part next season

Can't wait to see Veronica confront the (now) President's brother

As much as T-bag disgusts me I am glad to see that he'll be around next season
Yeah it was interesting that Tweener was the only one who escaped - did anyone see the article about him People, that he spent a lot of time living with Jessica Simpson and her family?

It was sad to see the old guy dead

Obviously they somehow escape (or at least some of them), but the ending wasn't enough of a cliff hanger for me! They did say that it would be back in the Fall, so I will take that literally and not that we will have to wait until January (if they were thinking of pairing it with '24' for the whole season).

OK I finally looked at IMDB to figure out what else Patricia Wettig (VP lady) had done. It was driving me crazy...it was "thirty something" that I was thinking of...

man I can't believe she became president. Why does the highest ranking female politician have to be such a bitch?

From my morning show:

Dallas may not have "Dallas" yet, but Dallas has "Prison Break"! The second season of the show will begin filming in Dallas on June 15. The first season was shot around Chicago, but producer Gary Brown has a home in Dallas and he said he chose the area because a wide variety of settings were available from rural to urban, and everything's close together. Another pilot for ABC just finished filming its first episode in Dallas. "A House Divided" stars Dylan McDermott. Let's hope that makes it to the fall lineup.

If this is true then WOO HOO For me!!! I can't wait to be bumping elbows with these guys at local restaurants. They mentioned that filming begins June 15th.

I was very surprised about the president. Does anyone else think the VP killed him so The Company wouldn't just off her?

And, I found it funny how the ones that were left behind (Haywire, Tweener) seem to be in the best situation currently. Can't wait until the next season starts!

I was dying when Haywire put on that helmet and rode off on the bike.

As much as a skeez that Tbag is, I really like him. I didn't see him getting his hand cut off coming at all. I think that Tbag is going to die, and they are going to find his body in the woods or something.

All in all, a great ending to a great season! Hope they can keep it up next season!!

I totally missed the Season Finale Monday night b/c I had dinner w/ some girlfriends...and my DH refuses to get Tivo. He did give me a brief summary though and then I read the recap/summary on Fox's website. Sounds like a great episode.

I was very surprised about the president. Does anyone else think the VP killed him so The Company wouldn't just off her?

I think she did it so she could get into office. The Company was losing faith in her and was telling her that they were no longer backing her for the Presidential race. She prob realized she needed to take matters into her own hands and make sure she got into office since no one else was going to help her. I just didn't think she would go that far....she did prove though that she could get the job done.

Of course she did. That's what her comment about being more able to get things done than the company thought was about.

Fox's Fall: Prison Break Is Back Early (http://community.tvguide.com/forum.jspa?forumID=700000044)
Fox revealed its 2006-07 schedule (posted in the Ausiello Report) on Thursday morning, and once again the season will launch early with the mid- to late August return of Prison Break, which will have aired its freshman finale just three months prior. (Alas, Prison Break will — once again — take a prolonged break come January, to make room for 24, then finish out its run later in the season, perhaps spilling into summer.)
